As a Sikeston native, Dr. Chouinard is proud to be able to give back to his home community. For example, in the past, he has donated dental services to those who are unable to afford necessary dental care. He has also made contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, where his wifes brother was treated as a child. In addition, his son attends Sikeston High School, so the Chouinard family supports this local school, particularly the wrestling team, Friends of the Program, and Sikeston High Schools boosters.

Dr. Chouinard actually grew up surrounded by the field of medicinehis mother was a Registered Nurse and his father was a physician. Once he got to college, though, he decided that he wanted to take a slightly different path for his own career. Growing up his neighbor, Dr. Nast, was a dentist, and he let Dr. Chouinard shadow him one summer. This experience showed him that he could succeed in the oral healthcare world and even become his own boss while still helping others and providing for his family in a small-town setting.

After attending Truman State University for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Chouinard pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City; following graduation, he spent a year working at a community health clinic in Cape Girardeau before joining Dr. Nasts private practice. Along the way, hes pursued a great deal of continuing education to further expand his skills, including occlusion courses with Dr. Dawson, numerous dental implant courses and seminars, and CEREC Level 1 & 2 training. He is currently a member of the following dental organizations:

Dr. Chouinard is a born-and-raised native of the Sikeston community, and so is his wife Chrissy. Their parents still live here too! He also has a stepson named Kaeden, who is currently in high school. When he isnt busy caring for patients, you can usually find him hunting, fishing, boating, running, and taking trips when possible to snow ski and swim at the beach. He also really enjoys gardening after getting home from work.

Stephanie has been a member of Dr. Chouinards team for nearly 25 years, and she loves being able to give people their smiles back through her work! She has an extensive amount of certifications and training, including OSHA, CPR/BLS, Competency of Dental Anatomy & Morphology, Removable Prosthodontics, and Fixed Prosthodontics.

Outside of the practice, one of her favorite activities is traveling, from the beach to the mountains and anywhere else in-between. In fact, she traveled to some of her favorite destinations with this team for dental meetings or just for fun! She also always looks forward to spending lazy days at the pool with her friends.

Amys career in oral healthcare spans nearly 25 years so far. Shes had multiple years of on-the-job education and is also trained in oral sedation, BLS, CEREC same-day crowns, 3D digital scanners, and fixed prosthodontics. What she enjoys most about her position with Dr. Chouinard is being able to help patients feel good about their smiles! Our patients definitely love her social butterfly nature and that she treats every new arrival like a close friend right away.

Amy is originally from right here in Sikeston and has a fur baby named Hershey at home, who is her partner in crime and accompanies her nearly everywhere. She has also a niece and nephew, who are her world. In her spare time, she enjoys doing anything outdoors, like camping, floating, bass fishing, traveling, and riding motorcycles.

Dana has been a member of our team for 5 years, and she brings an amazing 35 years of dental experience to our practice. Dana is certified for Expanded Functions in Removable Prosthetics. She says that her favorite part of her job is helping people overcome their dental anxieties. She also enjoys problem-solving, whether that involves fixing something in the office or helping someone figure out their dental insurance benefits.

Originally from Charleston, MO, Dana has 3 children, and she loves spending time outdoors, whether that involves camping, kayaking, or boating. She also believes that everyone should listen to music daily!

As a dental hygienist with over 6 years of experience, nothing makes Shaundous happier than giving a patient a clean smile and showing them the best ways to take care of their teeth at home. A graduate of Northwest High School in House Springs, she attended Missouri Southern State University for her dental training. Today, she is certified to provide local anesthetic as well as nitrous oxide sedation.

Julie has been with our practice for her entire 10 year career, and what she enjoys most about her job is helping people feel better not just physically, but mentally as well. Whenever a patient comes in with a dental problem, she is determined in assisting Dr. Chouinard to do her part in solving that problem and improving the patient's life in the process. Julie attended Southeast Missouri State University and has worked in many other fields of employment, including producing and directing television commercials and programs. Dentistry is her favorite becuase she can help people get their smile back. In addition to her decades worth of experience in dentistry, she is also certified in basic dental skills - expanded functions for both fixed and removable dental prosthetics, oral sedation, CEREC same-day crowns, 3D imaging and is certified in CPR.

A native of Harrisburg, IL, Julies family consists of two daughters, her mother, and the princess of the household, a spoiled Blue Healer/Shepherd mix pup. On the weekends, she enjoys going to auctions and sales searching for antique and vintage items. She enjoys learning about the history of the items as well as the people who owned them. She and her best friend love to travel, and go on roadtrips meeting new people and experiencing new and exciting things.

Aubree has been a member of Dr. Chouinards team for over five years now. She attended both Southeast Missouri State University and Missouri Southern State University for her education, and she is certified in both nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Today, what she enjoys most about her job is being able to create such wonderful relationships with each patient, as well as having valuable opportunities for growth through continuing education at dental conventions!

Originally from Benton, Aubree is married to her high school sweetheart and recently had her first daughter named Lyla Grace, who keeps them laughing. When she isnt busy caring for smiles, her first priority is spending quality time with her little gal. Having too many hobbies is difficult with a little one, but shopping and experiencing new things through Lylas eyes are her favorite. Shes also a big morning person and loves waking up early to drink coffee and read her bible. This also means that shes in bed by 9:00pm sharp!
