Dr. Oliver Lee Willham was raised in Ames Iowa. He attended college at the University of Iowa, where he earned a BGS undergraduate degree, and studied art, design, science and liberal arts. After his undergraduate work he went to Dental school at Iowa, where he enjoyed all aspects of dentistry. After dental school Dr. Willham attended the University of Iowa for an additional two years. He earned a Masters of Science, and Certificate of Orthodontics and Dental Facial Orthopedics. Dr Willham began practicing orthodontics in Des Moines in 1990. In 2008 he served as President of the Iowa Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Willham enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and is happy to have his parents living close by in Ames. He is active in church, and enjoys windsurfing, snowboarding, and biking. But most importantly to you, Dr. Willham enjoys his work, and feels fortunate to be able to use his art and science background in a job.

Highly recommend Willham & Foster Orthodontics. This is our second daughter to have Dr. Foster for braces and we can't say enough great things, he is simply the best! Great staff & office atmosphere as well!!!

I have been coming to this clinic since I got my braces on 10+ years ago! I had a wonderful experience through my braces, and any care need with retainers since. I highly recommend Dr. Willham and Dr. Foster!

I just started going to Dr. Willham this year and I think everyone who works there has been so wonderful before and during the pandemic. My safety is their priority and they're always so patient and kind. Bonus will be beautiful teeth when I'm done! Thank you!!

I started with Willham and associates in 2003 as a child and continued in their care with Retainers, and then Braces until 2010. As a child growing up with bad teeth, my confidence was nonexistent. I refused to smile in photos, I was teased and bullied, I hated my smile. Until the day my braces were taken off in 2010 and I saw the hard work pay off. As a 23 year old I can proudly say I LOVE MY SMILE. Thank you Dr.Willham, you gave me the confidence to smile and the knowledge I earned it.

Dr. William is the best! Love the atmosphere and his staff. I have been going to him for nearly 10 years and now both of our kids are seeing him. Jan is so great at working around crazy schedules and the multiple locations for adjustments make things so convenient for families!
