If you have another option, don't choose this one. My employer offers two types of dental insurance. I chose Willamette because the lack of maximums was appealing. I can't wait to change! The dental staff are AMAZING but it's impossible to get in. Really. Impossible. After calling them for a broken tooth, they scheduled me months out for an exam and cleaning, refusing to address the immediate issue. On the scheduled day, after I had a long wait in the lobby, they told me they ran out of time and they weren't able to do the cleaning. So they rescheduled it for 3 months later. Today after the cleaning, at checkout, I requested to schedule to have the actual dental work done (filling). I was told they have no appointments and would put me on the appointment waitlist. No appointments? None? There's a waitlist just to make an appointment? Absurd. It took 6 months and two visits just to get the cleaning done. I love their staff, but can't get the care I need here.

I have been a patient here for almost 30 years. I have never had an outstanding balance. February I definitely had a cavity that needed to be taken care of however they wouldn't schedule me because there was an outstanding balance due from another family member that was on our insurance plan that had been seen earlier that year. I never did get my cavity filled. Fast forward to now, I have a lump in my jaw and pus oozing from a tooth an excruciating pain. I called Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. the message was left make that throughout the day three messages were left and I did not receive a call back until around 3:00 something in the afternoon I was asleep. I called back and was forwarded to the doctor on call cuz the office was closed. He told me to call at 7:00 in the morning to schedule an emergency appointment. What a joke considering I just tried that on Monday. It's Wednesday now nobody's called me back to see how I was or if I got anything scheduled nothing I emailed admin not even an email back from them nothing they don't care about their patients they are not their first priority money is their first priority. I can not force a family member to do anything I'm responsible for myself I can take care of myself I can pay my bills myself but trying to get a hold of somebody here was a joke I've ended up seeing a different dentist not affiliated with Willamette who told me that I did have a abscess which had spread to the bone underneath the crown behind it. Check it out had I been seen in February when I first called I wouldn't be losing two teeth now. This is not the Willamette Dental that started a long time ago these people have no heart they don't care and if you're in pain they hope you get better soon. The best dentist I've ever met worked for this company his name was Dr Harris he was the only reason why I was at Willamette Dental in the beginning then he retired and I think he would probably be shocked at how uncaring this company is now

The dentist I saw recommended annual visits at my first visit in February. I didnt know at the time this meant they would not see me within a year. I have had 6 months cleanings for my entire life which is why I have teeth in such good condition. However I called today to request a 6 month cleaning (BECAUSE MY TEETH NEED IT) and they REFUSED to schedule me. I will be calling my employer tomorrow to inform them/file a provider complaint and hopefully be able to switch to a dental plan where I can use the benefits I pay for the remainder of the year. Update 7/6/22 - no one from willamette management has called me. Update 8/18- still no follow up call about my complaint. had an appointment to fix a sealant with a very nice dentist Dr. Kwei (not sure how to spell his name) who explained that since my dental health isn't bad enough according to Willamette's system they literally can't schedule another cleaning until a year after my first cleaning. For a "proactive" dental company the care Willamette offers is very reactive. I won't be returning to this provider or wasting insurance costs on this model. I literally laughed out loud that they paid to put proactive dental group on their wall.

The dentist used much anasthetic that my throat felt like it was closing. It made me throw up and then the dentist made it like it was my fault. Willamette failed me and I will never go back.

They are a very friendly staff. Working in the medical field myself I realize these appointments are hard to get quickly. I thank them for the option of being a wait list. Thank you!

Picking Willamette dental was the worst decision I've made in my life they're horrible they take forever to get in and then right before your appointment they cancel you and move it to appointment where you can't keep it and then you have to wait longer this is the worst company I've ever seen

Most of the Drs and dental assistants are nice but this whole company is money hungry. They DO NOT CARE about anything but your MONEY! For people who don't have insurance and are paying out of pocket please stay away from this place. They don't try to help you or work with you in any sort of way. They never told me about how much my visits are going to cost knowing I don't have insurance then billed me for all these fees! Williamette is a scam and I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I cancel 2 appointments because of not feeling well, and by doing the right thing during this pandemic, I am being charged $30 each!! For simply doing my part and staying home, as they've asked us to do!! Not to mention they quoted my husband for dentures and charges double, even though I showed them a signed quote!!!! How unethical is that??? I would not recommend this office! Update 3/29/22: Once again, we've been screwed over by this office/company. They tell us nothing is due 3 times that we ask about balance due letter and to not pay it. Then all of a sudden 3 months later they're threatening to send us to collections for $30 and when questioned why we were told not to pay, they say it was a miscommunication on their part. Hah! So you admit fault, but then threaten collections?!? I'll say it again, SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES...my advice, AVOID this office/company as all they do is sleep lies and charge you more!

I have always hated going to the dentist because I have seen some horrible people throughout the years....but after coming to this willamette I can honestly say I look forward to getting my cleaning! Thanks Dr. Ho and Hailey for always being so kind to me!

My wife had an appointment today and was told the dentist was sick and that she would have to reschedule. Okay, usually not a problem but they ended up scheduling her 2 months later because that's their "next available." So you're telling me, she has to wait 2 extra months through no fault of her own!? That is absolutely not okay.

Called the 855 # to make an appt. more than a week ago. For some reason they couldn't make an appt. and promised a call back, which never came. So wasting my time on hold again. While complaining in my office another coworker said, "I bet their not calling back". Sounds like Willamette might need to go away. . . Got and appt for a cleaning 2 month out :(

My mother showed up early for her appointment to get her teeth pulled for her dentures. they came in an hour late, pulled half her teeth and told her they didn't have time to pull all them and told her to come back in two weeks. Can you imagine having uppers and no lowers, just holes the top ones go into? Absolutely terrible and unprofessional. They also didn't give her any antibiotics which could be very dangerous.

Wait on the phone to schedule an appointment for an hour, only to be told it would be two months out. Luckily I'll be switching insurance before then and will definitely drop willamette.

The overall care has been decent, but the scheduling for orthodonture has been horrendous. Twice we had to cancel due to illness and each time we were scheduled out two months. That means six months without any treatment? Any other office I've been to they fit you right it to keep the progress going. This is just bad business, I'm very disappointed.

I just want to take a moment to share some of Willanettes best practices. I called about two months ago to make an appt for a cleaning and a check up, when I called they said that they couldnt make an appt for me because I had an unpaid bill. The bill was $35 dollars and belonged to my ex husband. I explained this to them and she said ok just a moment... then said someone would call me back the next day. The next day I received a phone call from the collection agency they use for overdue bills. So basically Willamette gave my phone number to a collection agency for someone else's debt, is denying me treatment for someone else's debt that they already sold to an collector, lied to me by telling me someone would call for an appt, This is not how a healthcare provider should treat patients especially patients who pay for their treatment at time of service.
