As a teenager, Dr. Kapus worked as an exotic animal handler at a zookeeper training compound in Southern California where he learned to manage and wrangle many different species including lions, tigers, primates and raptors. Although his intention was to attend veterinary school, life took him in another direction and after studying Genetics and acquiring a Bachelor of Science degree at UC Davis, he worked for a time in biotechnology before ultimately attending dental school and moving on to orthodontic residency where he studied the specialty of orthodontia.
Dr. Klifford T. Kapus is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry Class of 1997 where he continued on through residency there to obtain a Masters Degree in Orthodontics in 1999. He currently lives in Livermore with his wife Renee and three sons Keaton, Kincaid and Kolton. He enjoys weightlifting, hiking, camping and road trips. Before attending dental school he held a variety of eclectic jobs including working as an exotic animal handler. a molecular biologist and a quality assurance supervisor at a bio-technical firm.
