Dr. Perry Francis and the friendly Wild About Smiles staff welcome children, young adults and those with special needs to our practice. Our focus is on gentle care that sets the foundation for a lifetime of oral health and positive associations with dental visits. And we have a special place in our hearts and our practice for those with special needs. We believe it simply is not necessary to fear going to the dentist, nor is it acceptable to suffer pain and other complications brought on by lack of access to quality dental care.

Our approach to quality, non-threatening care has made Wild About Smiles particularly well-suited to care for children and young adults with special needs. This group of children include those that may have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum, children with cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome and other muscle-related disorders. Like all children, these special kids deserve care that is tailored to their physical, mental and emotional needs.

There is nothing more gratifying than to walk into a room and have a child smile that beautiful smile that conveys that they are happy to see you. Every emotion that comes from a child is real and genuine; I am incredibly lucky to encounter that feeling every day when I go to work.

I am a General Dentist who enjoys working with children. I have limited my practice to the care of infants, children, young adults and people with special needs. I know that the dental services and intervention I provide for my young patients will make a difference in their lives now and well into the future. Every day, I get to make positive differences in the lives of my patients, starting them off on a great dental path.

I have assembled my staff at Wild About Smiles with that focus on care in mind, selecting only people who are driven to work with children. Together with my staff, we laugh with our young patients, tell jokes and sing with them. This sets the whole tone of the office: compassionate and positive pediatric dental care.

Wild About Smiles in Fallon, NV is one of the best dentist offices for children in Fallon. My family travels from LoveLock, NV to Fallon for our children. I have been taking my 7 year old there since he was one. They are always on top on making sure his cavities get filled in on a timely manner, and always makes him feel like part of the family. They know my family and I when we walk in and know all our names. They are always great at helping me schedule and reschedule when needed. They always have the a smile on their faces and great attitudes!

I'm so thankful to have found Wild About Smiles for my kids. The staff is absolutely super friendly, very attentive, and truly care about their patients. They keep you well informed of what's being done and needs to be done and even provide information as to how the actual appointment went after the kids are done. I love the way they operate and handle the business as a whole and wish they took adults as well because I would be a patient as well. It's hard to find such quality in care and quality of the staff these days. Thank you to all of the employees at Wild About Smiles

I had been taking my three kids here for about 2 years because it is fairly close to us & the kids liked Dr. Swan (who is now leaving). We had no insurance and although their prices for non-insured are pretty high I always paid the full bill at the time of service. The problem I encountered with Wild About Smiles (WAS) came when I obtained private dental insurance in 12/12. I called them and specifically asked if they accepted this insurance, Nevada Pacific Dental written through my general health carrier Sierra Health & life. Chancy at WAS said "we accept all insurances and just bring in the cards when you bring in the kids". I asked her if she wanted the specific policy information so she could verify coverage prior to their appointments she reiterated "we accept all insurances, just bring the cards when you bring them in". I brought the three kids in on 3/20/13 for exams and about a half hour into the exams Chancy said "I called your insurance and they say they won't cover it because WAS is not in their network". She then said that she thought that the person she was speaking to was probably mistaken and that they would pay the claim. Well, WAS is not in network & the insurance won't pay any of it (they would have paid 100% as preventive if WAS was in network). I'm as much to blame as anyone for this as I should have verified coverage with the insurance company and not just relied on what WAS told me. My real problems with WAS are: 1) The misinformation that I was given when I originally called in 12/12 and the fact that they did not want to take my information & confirm my specific coverage. 2) They started the work on the kids before discovering that I had no coverage for WAS. 3) In light of #1 & 2 above I attempted to negotiate a discount/reduced rate for the three checkups. WAS steadfastly refused any discount of the full $420 bill. What really upsets me is that I made every effort with WAS to avoid this exact situation from occurring. After spending over $1500 in the last 2 years at the full non-insured rate at WAS I am extremely disappointed that they were not willing to negotiate even a little bit on the final billing given the circumstances. I have no problem with the dentists/technicians there, I assume that they are fairly competent. My problem with WAS is the way there front/business office is run and their business practices. Seems that they are much more concerned with money than with treating paying customers fairly & taking some ownership for the misinformation that they provided.
