Dr. Joe Wilbanks has been practicing dentistry in Toccoa, Georgia for 40 years. He is married to Libby Jeffords Wilbanks. He has four children and three grandchildren. He believes in continual growth and learning and has post-graduate training in Implant, Cosmetic, and Restorative Dentistry.
Orthodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, interception, and treatment of malocclusions of the teeth and surrounding structures. Misaligned teeth are unattractive and can contribute to serious problems such as tooth decay. Orthodontists straighten teeth by the use of bands, wires, braces, and other fixed or removable corrective appliances or retainers.
You are then accompanied to a private room to discuss your medical history, previous dental experiences and present concerns. We want to be thorough and address all of your expectations and goals. Dr. Wilbanks will then meet you in a treatment area for a comprehensive dental examination.
After your complete examination, Dr. Wilbanks will review the condition of your current dental health, previous dental work, esthetics, and will discuss treatment options and answer your questions.We believe that by being well-informed, you will be able to make the best decisions concerning your treatment goals.

It is our strong belief that your dental treatment should not be compromised for financial reasons or third party influence. We have several payment options available to allow you to have excellent dental care that comfortably fits within your budget.

I only went to this office for Zoom! whitening. We needed up not doing the procedure (which I'm okay with, that's not the complaint) and decided to just do the bleaching trays and gel. When I was there, the power went off in the building due to storms. They were unable to make the actual trays that day. The very nice ladies helping me said I could come pick them up the next Monday or they can mail them. I do not live in Toccoa, so I called Monday 4/11 and asked to ship them. This is was my first interaction with Anna, very rude Anna. She was unpleasant on the phone during that conversation and acted as if I were an inconvenience to her. Maybe because I'm not a regular patient or because I didn't spend thousands in work, I have no idea. So here it is Tuesday 4/19 and I still have not received my trays. I called this morning (giving a week for delivery) just to check up and see if they knew anything. Once again, Anna answered my call and acted as though my question and issue was beneath her and putting her out. (All of this comes after overhearing her complain about having to do a bleaching appointment when I was sitting in the reception room for my initial visit - that put a bad taste in my mouth then). While I am grateful for the very nice ladies who actually helped while I was there, one bad apple (Anna) spoils the whole bunch.

Williams Smile Center was extremely helpful. My son broke his Herbst while we were vacationing and they got him in right away and fixed it. Helen Martin at the front desk was wonderful.

The nurses at Dr. Wilbank's office were extremely kind, reassuring, and helpful concerning my upcoming event. I was extremely agitated when I arrived, and they all calmed me down right away. They took their time with me and assured me that I would be just fine during the upcoming procedure. The fact that Dr.Wilbanks allows me a sedative really helps because I've had teeth problems all of my life. He's the only dentist I will ever see.

Being one of those patients, a dentist would run from...I am so happy to have them! I have only had 2 dentists in a long time (decades). My amazing hygienist, Sandra can handle me without shots or gas. Dr. Wilbanks is terrific and knows painless, so please don't leave!!

The visit was done in a manner that we appreciate in minimizing the risk of COVI-19 for both the staff and my wife and me. It's always nice to have a routine check-up and cleaning by Kim to make sure no problems have occurred since the last visit.
