Dr. Mark was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish. After graduating from Archbishop Hannan High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. He then returned to New Orleans to attend LSU school of Dentistry, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006.

Dr. Courtney Wightman was born and raised in New Orleans where she attended Mount Carmel Academy. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree from LSU, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Like her husband Mark she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry, which is where the couple met.

Dr. Courtney loves meeting new patients and helping them achieve the smile of their dreams. She loves keeping up to date best and latest dental technology and procedures to help patients experience the most comfortable pain free dentistry available today.

We know that our office is only as effective and as welcoming as the people who work in it, which is why we take pride in our friendly and well-trained team members! As a team, we are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment in a supportive and nurturing environment. We promise to speak candidly with you about possible treatments as well as any risks and associated costs of treatment, and how treatment can address your individual needs as a patient.

Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each one of our team members has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Christina loves taking the time out getting to know her patients and making them feel at home. She likes learning the latest technology at continuing educational courses. She frequently wears teeth-related jewelry and clothing. When she is not helping her patients have beautiful smiles, she likes running with her dog, Penny, and spending time with family. She enjoys sweets also!

Kinyatta loves making a personal connection with patients. She enjoys learning different aspects of the field, and has been a part of the Wightman Family dental practice for over 4 years. Aside from getting to know and care for her patients, she loves relaxing at home and having time to herself watching her favorite TV shows like SVU, and snacking on potato chips.

Krista takes pride in educating our patients on the latest procedures. She is very well rounded and has been a part of our family for over 3 years. When Krista is not caring for her patients, she like to pamper herself, and is a homebody. She loves binge watching her favorite TV shows and also loves the smell of seafood but refuses to eat it. She loves cutting her grass in her down time.

Tiffany enjoys interacting with patients and making them feel at home and like a part of the family when they walk in. She also loves learning new things about the dental field and being organized. When she is not greeting the patients as they walk in, she enjoys spending time with her family and 2 beautiful children and taking them outdoors.

My husband went in to have a crown fixed. He was told they could not do anything for his temporary relief but to schedule an appointment to get a crown replaced in a month or so. Was charged $150 to just be told to schedule another appointment!!!!

Being deathly afraid of the dentist and everything associated with dentistry, I never in a million years would've thought that there would ever be a day when I was looking forward to a visit. That day is today! Dr. Courtney has worked on my mouth numerous times & with each visit my comfort level rises. In the past, just thinking of a visit would initiate a panic attack of sorts. Now I can plan a visit calmly and actually look forward to the visits. Dr. Courtney and her understanding & gentle nature has turned this big baby into an ideal patient. Now the only time I'll shed a tear is from pain and not from being a nervous wreck. Don't get me wrong, I still have my issues, but thanks to Dr. Courtney and her supporting staff, I can take care of my dental issues accordingly! Rather than putting up with pain and skipping the visits altogether, I now make appointments whenever necessary! I can never thank the wonderful staff enough!

I have been going to Wightman Family Dental for years. While their dentistry is exceptional and the dentists are very caring and have helped me and worked with me on multiple occasions, the customer service there needs a lot of work. I highly suggest re-training some of the receptionist/billers there with some more customer service classes. When I call any business, I expect to hear a pleasant voice on the other side of the phone, not one that radiates to me as "tired and don't feel like being here". Multiple times I have been told by one of the receptionist and one biller that I would receive a call back and in one instance an email and never did. I waited until the end of the day to call and get answers. And in the more very recent incident, I did not receive a call back about a prescription nor did I call as I do not feel as a priority to them. I expect the ones in the customer service industry (which I work in myself) to give the same type of service that they would want to receive from anyone else. So that is why I give 3 stars.

Was called the wrong name multiple times, got fillings for sensitive teeth (I am in constant pain since getting them) was told I needed two more fillings just over discoloration, was not comfortable at all and wasted $500
