Over the last year, we are proud to say that we have opened up a new location! We have so many amazing patients, that we thought we would branch out and share the knowledge and skill that we have been able to achieve over more than 20 years. We are growing so much, and we hope to enjoy this amazing adventure with you.
After more than 20 years of practice, Dr. Whiting is not only trusted for his clinical skill, but the connections he makes with his patients. His goal has always been to make Whiting Dental feel like your hometown dentist. He claims, with a grin, that his Why is the relationships I get to form with the folks that are courageous enough to trust me to be their dentist. He is particularly proud that Whiting Dental is now becoming multi-generational. Even if it does make him feel a bit old. Many of those who saw him as children are now bringing their own children and grandchildren.
Dr. Whiting is also well respected by his peers, being selected by them numerous times as a Top Dentist in Phoenix Magazine. He had the honor of being appointed by Governor Jan Brewer as a member of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners where he thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to serve the citizens of Arizona and the dental community as a member of the state dental board. He was also elected by the citizens of Mesa to two terms as a member of the Mesa Public Schools Governing Board, including as President. He has been a longtime board member for Mesa United Way, and as an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of BSA Order of the Arrow, he has served in many capacities for the Boy Scouts of America. He supports his profession with membership in the Central Arizona Dental Society, the Arizona Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Forensic Odontology, and as a member of the Arizona Mass Disaster Team.
While Dr. Whiting has been well accomplished, his greatest satisfaction and joy come from being a husband and father. He and his wife, Sherri, are the parents of 6 children. When not enjoying time with his family, he can be found weight lifting, mountain biking, traveling, reading, or listening to good music. Although, if you ask his children, his favorite pastime is sleeping.
Growing up, I learned how to work in the home-building industry. I love working with my hands and being able to see the progress at the end of the day. At the same time, I found that working with and serving people made me happy. Dentistry allows me to do both and I love it!
I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. Our favorite place is the beach. With our young toddler-aged kids, we can usually be found at a splash pad or at an airport watching airplanes take off and land. I also love playing basketball.
Get to know the staff that makes our office so special. We hire only the best and most talented staff to work on our patients teeth. We know that when you speak with any person on our staff that you will feel right at home.
I am originally from Southern California, but spent most of my life in the beautiful, yet rainy, state of Oregon. After my husband of 30 years and I raised our two sons we headed to AZ to dry out and live a life in the sun. We love it here!!
I entered the dental field in 2002, when I decided to go back to work after being home with my children for many years. I had no idea how much I would love it. I have worked in general dentistry as well as orthodontics. I have always been on the administrative side and working with patients as well as our team is what makes me happy. You will find me in the day to day operations and leading others to be their best.
I was born and raised in Southern Idaho, where I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. I have a true passion to educate my patients on their oral health and remember personal details that patients share with me. I work hard to make every patients visit enjoyable and comfortable. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Zane and my dog Latte. We love to spend time with family and enjoy adventures in the great outdoors such as camping, softball, and traveling to new places. I feel fortunate to be a part of the Whiting Dental team where I have built awesome friendships with my team and my patients.
I am originally from New York, grew up in Tucson, and have been in dentistry for 33 years. I graduated from dental assisting school in 1986. I assisted for 15 years until I moved to the front desk, where I love to help patients with their dental plans, accounts, treatment needs, and scheduling. I am married with a 25 year-old stepson, who is in the Air National Guard. I love shopping and vacationing.
I am a native to Arizona and have been in the dental field for over 20 years. I graduated from the dental assisting program at Pima Medical Institute. My main job is the front office coordinator but you may find me in the back working as a dental assistant when needed. I value each patient that walks through the door and love to make sure everyone is having a good day. I will always try to put a smile on your face.
I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and got my dental hygiene degree from Illinois Central College in 1984. I moved that same year to the Phoenix area, and have had a wonderful career as a hygienist all around the valley. With my recent move to Encanterra, Im super excited to be a part of the Whiting Dental team in their new San Tan Valley office! In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, Kerry, and learning to golf, so I dont become a golf widow! I also love spending time with our five children and eight grandchildren. We love traveling and scuba diving as often as we can.
I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Arizona with my parents and five siblings in 1980. While attending college, I met the love of my life, Mark. We married in 1986 and had three children. While I enjoyed being a stay at home mom for many years, I decided to go back to school to pursue my dream of becoming a dental hygienist.
I took a position as a hygiene assistant for a pediatric dental practice and worked for three years until I was accepted to MCCs hygiene program. After earning my RDH license in 2007, I accepted a position at Whiting Dental, and I have worked on their team for the past twelve years. I continue to provide quality, compassionate care to my patients and treat them like family! It gives me great pleasure to educate them on their oral health as I want them to be healthy. When I am not at work, I enjoy my grandchildren and spending time with my family!
