Dr. Gibeum Kim is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Kim stays current with emerging dental trends by attending numerous continuing education classes throughout the year.
He is committed to learning more about areas like dental implantology and has completed advanced implant training with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Kim is a member of Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
I have seen how poor oral health affects my patients and how its possible for me to improve their quality of life by utilizing my knowledge and artistic skills. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I enjoy learning new technologies and applying them in our office for the comfort of my patients.
Dr. Kim was born in Ohio and lived in South Korea and Canada. He now resides in Little Elm, TX and is an active part of our community. He has a beautiful wife and daughter and two dogs, a Pit Bull and a Min Pin. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys watching baseball, going to the movies, cooking, and traveling with his family.
Dr. Leeshik Shin graduated summa cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He subsequently attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) as well as the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Shin completed a one-year intensive general practice residency at Stony Brook Hospital in New York. His dedication towards lifelong learning never stopped after school. Upon finishing his residency, he continued to devote his time towards continuing education courses in which he has completed more than 500 hours. His passion towards continuing education sparked from his own personal experience during his early phase of his career.
In 2020, Dr. Shin became a fellow in the Academy of General dentistry, the award given to approximately 6% of general dentists in US and Canada. Most recently, he was awarded with an associate fellowship in the American Association of Implant Dentistry, the oldest professional organization in the US dedicated to the implant field.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shin enjoys watching Premier League Soccer games and spending free time with his wife and two boys, Noah and Aiden. The family also enjoys spending time outdoors with their two dogs, a French Bulldog named Hugo and a mutt named Coco.
Linh has worked in the dental field and dealt with insurance for nearly a decade. She can answer every question you can throw at her about your insurance and if she cant, then shell find out for you. Shes the go-to person to question about insurance.In her free time she likes spending time with her three kids, cooking, baking, and watching movies. Her favorite thing to cook is pho. Ask her about her recipe!
Kelli recently moved from Wichita Falls to the Greater McKinney area to continue her career in the dental field. Addition to her excellent dental knowledge, she has an amazing personality and energy to make all the patients comfortable and pleasant during their visits. On her free time, she loves to hang out with her boyfriend, her two German Shepherds, Koko and Max. She loves to be outdoors and adventurous, and loves to go shopping.

Dr Kim and staff are kind understanding and make you feel comfortable without pressuring you like your typical dentist. My family and I have been going for a couple years and haven't found a hygienist we haven't liked. I've have numerous procedures including wisdom teeth removal with local numbing, cleanings, and fillings. Pain is minimal and time is limited. I appreciate this office and will continue to go.

I see Dr Kim and have seen Dr Shin as well. I had not been to a dentist in several years. I needed a deep cleaning and a crown. Both doctors explained to me in detail what I should expect every step of the way. I felt comfortable through the entire process; which was over multiple visits. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. I was charged a reasonable price for my services and received excellent care. I was asked to come in for a 3 month cleaning just to ensure that my gums were remaining healthy. After my crown was placed Dr Kim examined my gums and informed me that I could cancel the extra cleaning appointment and just proceed with a normal cleaning at the 6 month interval. I would highly recommend seeing either doctor in this office if you would like excellent dental care.

I highly recommend that you experience this office while they are still accepting new patients. It is rare that a dental office can leave such an impression as White Tree Dental has. The doctors and staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable with the type of care that is required and the types of insurance coverage that is offered presently. They go the extra mile to ensure that little details are taken care of, which goes a long way. I'm sure they will leave a lasting impression on you.

Highly, highly would suggest to look no where else, this is the place for your family's dental needs. All I can say is that we love Whitetree dental!! Dr Kim & his staff are some of the most kindest people I have ever met in this field. He so knowledgeable, which is my highest of priority when taking care of my family's dental needs. More importantly Dr Kim is so personal, not like being at a washed out franchise where your just another number!! He takes his time & he asks a lot of questions. One can tell that he is passionate about his patients!! (In my opinion that is very hard to find in todays world.) All of the dental hygienist are very professional and knowledgeable. Fantastic dental practice in an easily accessible location for anyone in Frisco, Little Elm, The Colony, Prosper, as well as from the closer towns on 380. The office is very clean and contemporary. The hygienist rooms are super cool with TV to help pass the time. I'm sure kids love it! The most important thing is that the service is outstanding. The hygienists are very skilled and thorough. Also the culture is clearly that they hire for skill AND personality. Everyone is very kind and professional. The doctors meet with everyone and you never feel rushed if there is something you wish to discuss. Top notch operation run by thoughtful professionals. I hope we can go here forever!

You are greeted with a warm smile by the front desk team (Linh), my hygienist (Amy) was fantastic and of course doctor duo (Dr Kim & Dr Shin) were awesome! You will be satisfied seeing either doctor. This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. I had to do deep cleaning and they did a great job, I felt that I was in good hands. All the people here were very gentle and kind to me. They explained very well what was going on. Whitetree dental was exceptional everyone is very professional and informative Dr. Chen was excellent he's one of the best dentist I have been to in a while, also Amy young lady who did my deep cleaning was incredible. I feel way better now my teeth were getting into bad shape but now I found a dentist near Little Elm / Frisco it's perfect thanks once again Whitetree dental I highly recommend this place
