I have extensive experience treating adults with conventional braces and Invisalign.This is important because more adults are interested in orthodontics than ever before.Locatedin the Southwest Florida area, we see a larger percentage of adult patients than most practices.During my orthodontic residency program, I did a master's thesis related to adult orthodontics and published an article on the topic in a leading orthodontic journal.This experience has helped me become very knowledgeable in the area of adult orthodontics.
I am passionate about learning and pursue continuing education offerings throughout the year. This allows me to stay uptodate with the latest technology and developments in treatment methodologies. Its essential that I stay at the leadingedge of orthodontics in order to provide my patients with the highest quality of care. To do anything less is simply not acceptable.
Im a native of Salt Lake City. Now Punta Gorda is home for my family, including my wifeJennifer, our two sons, andtwo daughters. Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my family. I also enjoy staying active, especially through sports, including racquetball, tennis, volleyball, golf, and swimming.
Robin loves seeing the excitement in each patient as they begin their orthodontic treatment.She joined our practice in 2018and is responsible for working with our patientsin developing a flexible payment plan so they are comfortable with their orthodontic investment.Robin also assists with insurance claims, so our patients are able to best utilize their orthodontic benefits.
With a background in accounting and bookkeeping, Laurie became part of Whitesides Orthodontics in 2015 bringing with her15 years of experience in the orthodontic field.She loves keeping everything running perfectly, so the team can focus on delivering exceptional care to our patients. Lauries duties include planning and budgeting, payroll, bookkeeping, marketing and advertising.
Debiebecame part of the Whitesides Orthodontics team in 2003, having started in the dental field back in 1981. She loves getting to know our wonderful patients, helping them get a healthy smile, and seeing their reaction when they see their new smile for the first time. Debie also has quite thegreen thumb andis responsibile for keeping our flower garden looking beautiful year round.
With her friendly nature and encyclopedic knowledge of orthodontics, Eileen excels at helping patients and their families understand what their proposed treatment will involve. Shes been part of our team since 2008, having started in the dental field in 1994. Eileen assists the doctor with new patient exams, then sits down with the patient and thefamily to discuss the treatment options, related costs, and to answer their questions.
With more than 30 years of experience in the dental field, Lori loves working in orthodontics. For her, seeing each patients face light up when they see their new smile for their first time, is incredibly rewarding, as is witnessing the growth in that persons self-esteem. Lori provides chairside assistance to Dr. Whitesides during orthodontic procedures, and educates our patients about their treatment.
Audum has been working as an orthodontic assistant since 2006 and has recently joined our team in 2018. She enjoys watching all the little changes in the patient's treatment that eventually leads up to their beautiful and healthy smile.
Krystal has worked in orthdontics since 2003 andenjoysbuilding friendships with our patients.She loves all aspects of working in the orthodontic field, and what she loves most is seeing patients grow throughout their treatment andto knowshe was part of creating that beautiful smile. According to Krystal, watching patient's smiles and confidence change over the course of treatment is extremelyrewarding.

Took my 8 year old daughter a few years ago & she told the dentist she was scared and asked him if " he was gonna hurt her " the next thing ik she's telling me she was scared because of how mean he was. He told her she was a "rude little girl" for thinking that it wus gonna hurt and said he was gonna have to put her to sleep if she didn't stop crying. Never revoked something so fast so disrespectful and impatient towards children, don't remember dentists name as her gpa took her but my gosh.

One of the best experience with braces! Dr.whitesides and his staff are amazing. Such an awesome welcome environment! I'm overjoyed with the outcome of my teeth. I would highly recommend. 3 convenient locals and so flexible with scheduling!

Two out of my three sons have gotten braces with Dr. Whitesides. We all couldn't be happier with their new smiles. Dr. Whitesides and his staff is always so friendly and welcoming...Truly feels like family. My youngest will be getting braces soon enough. I would recommend Whitesides Orthodontics to anyone looking to brighten their smile.

I'm not a patient and I called, I had an emergency. My daughters wire came apart and she was bleeding and we just needed someone to cut it off. The girl that answered the phone immediately said I'm sorry we can't help you. And I said really? Can I talk with the manager and she giggled and said I am the office manager..I just hung up! Went to the next number and Called Charlotte advanced orthodontist and she said oh my come in!

After having braces previously, I was extremely nervous about having to get them again. While searching for a professional, I was referred to Dr. Whitesides by my dentist. During my first consultation, Dr. Whitesides and his staff were extremely patient, courteous, and thorough which made me feel comfortable to trust them as my new provider. During the first visit and up until my last appointment for treatment, I felt right at home. Dr. Whitesides and his staff really care and work great together as a team. They are always friendly and ready to greet you with a smile! I highly recommend this group for your orthodontic treatment!

I cannot say how wonderful and complete my experience was. Dr. Whitesides and every staff member was always very professional and extremely helpful. I never had trouble getting an emergency appointment and was in and out of appointments promptly. 10 out of 10 would recommend. My teeth went from jacked up to Hollywood! Thank you team!

Two of my kids have had their braces done at Dr. Whitesides and the third is just starting treatment. The entire team is great! They have made the process(es) easy. My oldest two have had their braces off (one just last week) and their teeth look "Amazing"! I wont go anywhere else and highly recommend Whitesides Orthodontics!!!

First child just finished up her treatment and has beautiful teeth, and now we start the second go around with our youngest. We visited other orthodontists in the area and my kids and I felt most comfortable in this office. 100% trust Dr. Whitesides and his staff!
