Originally from Graham, Dr. White attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received his bachelors degree in anthropology in 1994. He attended Howard University, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998 and completed his certificate in orthodontics in 2000.
These organizations provide a range of continuing education opportunities, which allowDr. White to learn from leading practitioners and researchers in the field. By staying abreast of new techniques and technology, as well as ongoing discussions of research, he ensures he will provide patients with the best orthodontic care and strong, lasting results.
Dr. Whiteresides in Belmont with his family. He enjoys spending time with his family and his kids activities. He and his children enjoy a variety of activities, such as basketball, attending gymnastics and dance events, and playing at the park.Dr. White enjoys helping his patients and attending events his patients participate in.

Emily spends her free time making fun memories with her children: they all love being outside. She also enjoys photography and loves the beach.
After spending the day assisting Dr. White with different procedures, Kristie enjoys time with her husbandJohnathan and sonLiam. They like going to the movies, Lake Norman, and hanging out in Birkdale Village. Kristie and her familys favorite place is Oak Island.

We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

We love Dr. White and staff. Affordable treatment with amazing results. I have taken three of my children to him. My only complaint is that if you have to reschedule, you're getting pushed out 1 or 2 months. There should really be a waiting list.

I have been coming here for a little over a year and I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone there! Dr. White is ALWAYS ALWAYS in a wonderful mood. Always has a smile on his face and you can tell he is passionate about his job and loves what he does. The technicians will talk through the process of what they're doing and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.

Dr. White is amazing -- one of the most genuinely kind doctors around. He does great work and his dental assistants are wonderful. It is the unprofessional front desk staff that were in the office on the afternoon of 12/7/21 that are cause for this negative review. My daughter checked in, waited 15 minutes, was then asked what her "name was again." Staff then re-pulled her chart, as they had forgotten to send it back to then dental assistant to let them know she was there. Really? Then upon checkout, for a four week follow up appointment, we were given an eight week out date. When I expressed my concern with what the assistant stated was a need for a four week out appt., the scheduler stated "they don't know what goes on in the schedule." I understand all of this, but if the successful treatment plan recommends four weeks (five weeks max) for follow up and you continue to offer dates outside of this recommendation, and you laugh in my face when I question this, I have an issue. I am not a difficult client, but I will advocate for the best treatment for my child. I called the practice manager to let her know what had transpired yesterday. Unfortunately, the office staff had given their version before I could speak with her, and I was written off as "unhappy with the appointment date given." There was much more to the narrative than that.

Let me start off by saying that Dr.White was terrific and explained everything well and thoroughly. I came in for a Invisalign/braces consultation. Filled out the paperwork where I marked I was unemployed and briefly explained to the receptionist, Amy, that I was unemployed/no health insurance and she said that's fine, sit down we'll be with you shortly. Everything went great with Dr.White until he sent me and my mom (who is paying for them) back to the receptionist to quote us prices. Amy questioned my unemployment and asked what I was doing. I said nothing at the moment, and she took that opportunity to tell me about her daughter and what she went to school for, giving advice about dental school. After giving me unsolicited life advice I simply said I'm not interested. But it completely floored me when she told me I need to "find a path". I'm 25 and this pandemic has been hard on me just like it has for everyone else. I found the whole conversation to be condescending, unprofessional, and insensitive. I left crying and it triggered an anxiety attack. I clearly felt uncomfortable and kept quiet, but she probably couldn't tell because of the mask. To add, this was just a free consultation, she asked how many other places I was going to and I explained one more after this(probably 2 more now). She was not expecting any payment and my mom had already signed as the responsible party. The other Dentist office did not even have me fill out anything to do with my employment, and I went without my mom.
