From a very young age, he desired to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a dentistafter his undergrad he was excited to accept a position from Indiana University School of Dentistry. While in Indiana, he gained an invaluable education, many lifelong friends, and a love of Hoosier basketball.
After completing his doctorate in 2003, Dr. Crookston returned to Utah and began his career. Ten years later, in 2013, he completed his lifelong dream to obtain licensure to practice dentistry in the great state of Alaska.
Dr. Crookston actively pursues continuing education to remain current and up-to-date on his knowledge in the ever-evolving field of dentistry. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Alaska Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Weber District Dental Society.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Crookston loves spending time with his lovely wife Amy, and their four beautiful children; Anna, 22, Skyler, 20, Alex, 18, and Isabelle, 15. Together they enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, hunting, traveling, and other outdoor adventures.
Dr. Longfellow grew up in Ogden, Utah. After high school he went to the country of Uruguay to provide service with his church. While attending Weber State University he met and married his wife Cassandra. After completing a degree in Zoology, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he completed 4 years at the University of Las Vegas Nevada.
Dr. Longfellow has always had an interest in art and enjoys working with his hands. From art classes to working on his dirt bike, he has always been particular when it comes to detail, and he finds it rewarding to create something that works great and will last. Dr. Longfellow prides himself on putting patients first and performing the best treatment for each and every specific case.
Growing up in Utah meant lots of time enjoying the outdoors, so he and his wife are excited to call the great state of Alaska home. He and his wife are always looking for the next big adventure/challenge, so be sure to advise him of any awesome adventures to be had on the Kenai Peninsula or surrounding areas.

Mary May has been involved in dentistry for seven years, finding the interdisciplinary nature of the field always exciting and challenging! She thrives on helping people make their dream smiles a reality, and supporting the Gentle Dental team!
Jenny has been with Gentle Dental since 2012. She has enjoyed being part of an upbeat and talented team. Jenny also likes the fact that Gentle Dental keeps all of its team members updated with the newest technology and tools which allows the team to give Gentle Dental patients the highest quality care.
Brianna was born and raised in Alaska and graduated from IDEA Homeschool in May 2019. Her favorite thing about Gentle Dental is working with a friendly team who is dedicated to improving the health of each patient.
Stephen joins the Gentle Dental team after a decade in Information Technology, applying this experience to solve day-to-day technical issues and to help facilitate the digital dentistry workflow. He enjoys expanding his understanding of the clinical aspects of dentistry.
Sonya has been a part of the Gentle Dental team for 4 years. She has developed a great passion for dentistry over the years and persistently pushes herself to grow each day. Sonya strives to provide quality patient care to every person who walks through the door.
Rebekah loves practicing dental hygiene and has been blessed to provide hygiene services to patients for over 17 years! She fits in perfectly on the friendly and talented dental team at Gentle Dental. Rebekah finds the greatest rewards in her work in educating patients on oral health while helping them maintain their dental healthcare.
