We offer preventive dentistry services, such as teeth cleaning and oral exams; cosmetic dentistry, such as Invisalign and teeth whitening; and restorative dentistry, such as dental implants and complete and partial dentures. You can also see us when you have a dental emergency.

Drs. Preston and Shannon White grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, and got married in 2006. They attended undergraduate school and dental school together. Working together at their own family dental practice has always been a dream of theirs.
Both doctors are passionate about providing the highest level of dental care to their patients. They offer a wide range of procedures, from preventative to cosmetic procedures for their patients in a compassionate and comfortable setting. They believe that everyone deserves to be proud of their smile. A dental office providing smiles for the whole family is how the Whites view their practice. Unlike most dental offices that refer young patients and difficult procedures out, the Whites want their patients to feel like they have a dental home where their entire family is provided state-of-the-art treatment.
The Whites live in Springfield and enjoy spending their free time with their four children. The whole family loves spending time outdoors together. Preston especially enjoys hunting and fishing. Shannon enjoys reading and crafting. Both doctors look forward to meeting and taking care of the good people of the Springfield area.
Dr. Preston White grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, before graduating from Wichita State University in 2007. In 2012, Dr. Preston graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry with many honors, including high honors in Oral Surgery. Dedicated to his education, Dr. Preston graduated Magna Cum Laude from dental school.
After completion of his four-year dental degree, Dr. Preston received additional training in advanced and specialized dental procedures such as complex root canal therapy, surgical extractions, implant placement and restoration, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry in a General Practice Residency at Truman Lakewood Hospital.
Dr. Shannon White also grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, and graduated from Wichita State University in 2007. She graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2013, graduating fourth in her class and Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Shannon was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is an honor society for excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and potential qualities for future professional growth and attainments. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Springfield Dental Society.
Dr. Shannon enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially treating children. She enjoys making the dental experience comfortable and enjoyable for her patients and looks forward to meeting you soon!
I graduated in 2006 from the Vatterott Dental program and have been working at White Smiles Family Dental since 2010. I have enjoyed working in every position in the dental office but now focus my time as the insurance coordinator. I love helping enhance the health of patients and create smiles that boost patients' confidence and self-esteem. In my free time, I love baking, reading, crafting, and spending time with my three kids and husband at the lake.
Growing up in Walnut Grove I knew for a long time that I wanted a career that allowed me to encourage others to be healthy and confident. I quickly discovered that being a Dental Hygienist was the perfect career for me. After graduating from MSSU I started working at White Smiles Family Dental and loved every second of it. When I am not improving smiles I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing guitar, and spoiling my pups.
I grew up in Nixa, and after high school, I graduated from the OTC Dental Hygiene program in 2009. I love my job because I get to interact with new and old friends every day. One of my favorite things about being a Dental Hygienist is the relationship I develop with everyone who comes into the office. I have two children, a husband, and enjoy spending time with them, riding horses, and barrel racing.

Super nice staff! Very professional and good with kids. Being new to MO and it being my youngest first visit ever, they did so well with her and my older 2. Definitely recommend.

I am typically not a huge fan of going to the dentist but I will only go to see Dr. Preston White from here on out. He always makes sure I feel comfortable, is able to work quickly, and the staff is very friendly. Dr. Preston and his staff remember me and always distract me by talking about my home life and things that interest me. I never feel like I am being upsold for extra services. I am very satisfied with all work that has been done at this office and recommend it to everyone I know.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, I cannot recommend them enough. During my new patient appointment they were quick to identify my problems and provide multiple solutions. They then took some detailed x-rays before handing me over to Mady, who I think was their hygienist? She was incredibly gentle while inspecting my teeth, gave her expert opinion in a manner that was easy for me to understand, and even helped walk me through some of the insurance stuff. Brenna who made sure I had everything I needed in my first appointment, also helped me through my second appointment: A root canal. Her and Dr. White (Preston) were both magnificent, ensuring I was comfortable every step of the procedure. Every decision was explained to me in a way that eased my anxiety, and I felt rest assured by their obvious expertise. I genuinely felt every staff member cared about my well-being, I could not have had a better experience. Thank you.

Dr White is a wonderful dentist. He is gentle and kind. He always takes the time to make sure I'm comfortable and relaxed prior to treatment. They have always been on time and prepared for my appointments, and they always seem happy to see me. I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist visit their office!

My family and I have been amazed with the service and compassion from Dr. White and his entire staff. We've had a fair number of dental issues over the past few years, and some have been quite extensive, and Dr. White and his team have been phenomenal throughout. My daughter has some sensory issues that can make her treatment a bit challenging, but everyone there has incredible patience and compassion. (And Jamie is the best dental assistant on the planet!) -- We've had everything from routine cleanings, fillings, invisalign, root canals, crowns, and everything in between. We'll never go anywhere else!

I have been fearful of dentists my whole life and I can actually say I look forward to going to the dentist now. Maddie did an amazing job cleaning and flossing my teeth. She took her time with me, knowing how nervous I was. Dr. Preston explained everything I needed done and was very personable.

We had our kids going to a pediatric dentist with all the bells and whistles. They love this place so much more! They never mind going and now we can all go as a family. Wish there were more than 5 stars to give! Love this place!
