Dr. Kim attended the University of Maryland Dental School and completed his Orthodontic Specialty training at Columbia University in New York. He gained over 20 years of clinical orthodontic excellence following his three-year career as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Restorative Dentistry at Columbia University.
Dr. Kim focuses on maximizing the benefits of growth and development of children in two-stage early treatment and of an intervention program that includes identifying and changing bad habits, such as thumb sucking and tongue thrusting that can cause misaligned teeth. This intervention will thereby reduce the need for braces.
To stay abreast of the latest advancements in the orthodontic field, Dr. Kim maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Kim is amazing. The staff are all very polite and professional. The office is extremely clean. I highly recommend White Plains Orthodontics. My daughter was so happy when her braces came off. She loved her smile. It is perfect.

I saw Dr. Kim for an orthodontics consultation. I was really impressed by how kind and patient he was, and the concern he showed for his patients' oral health. He explained his experience in detail, and I was impressed when he told me about a patient whose treatment he started over for free because he felt that the patient's previous treatment plan did not get results that were up to his standards. His staff was also really professional. She answered my questions about what would happen if I had to leave the country mid-treatment in detail. Her attitude was really gentle and patient, even though I asked a lot of questions. I didn't end up choosing Dr. Kim for my orthodontics solely because his office is located far from where I live. But if I lived closer I would definitely have chosen him to be my doctor.

Dr.Kim and the staff at White Plains Orthodontics made the process of having braces very easy. They are caring and understanding. Dr. Kim was very clear when explaining what his plan was and what to avoid. The years of braces are worth it!

Dr. Kim is absolutely wonderful. His easy going, yet attentive nature made my entire Invisalign journey much more comfortable. Their whole staff is excellent. The office itself is cozy and welcoming. It doesn't feel cold and alienating like many other healthcare settings.
