I was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND. I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in biology at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where I graduated with honors. While at Concordia, I met my Cobber sweetheart and wife, Courtney. I graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2015. In dental school, I was recognized for my technical skills as well as professionalism and excellence in patient care, and was humbled to be the recipient of the Park Dental award for 'providing quality care in a caring manner.'
Following graduation, I completed a year-long study in dental implant restoration and surgical placement through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. One of my favorite procedures is utilizing a fully digital workflow for a guided implant placement to ensure a safe and predictable outcome.
When I'm not seeing patients, I love spending time with my wife and two children, Brecken and Brynlee. I also enjoy woodworking, exercising, singing, and spending time outdoors hunting with my dog Koda. I'm very passionate about dentistry and am committed to putting nervous patients at ease while providing high-quality dentistry.

Very professional staff and Dr R is very good at what he does he tells you what he is doing as he does it. I had a tooth removed that was bothering me and not healing.

I was referred to White Oak Dentistry by a friend when I had a tooth crack and fall out. What a pleasant surprise when I called for an appointment, and they worked me right in yet that afternoon. While there was no saving the tooth, they did file it down for me, and suggested some options to me. Thank you so much. You and your staff will be my auxiliary dentist whenever I have an issue while on vacation.

What a friendly helpful staff at White Oak Dental. Dr Runyan is a highly skilled Dentist and his gentle caring approach to his patients is admirable and appreciated. He was assisted by Stephanie who made this procedure so much easier for me with her gentle concerned approach. She took the time to explain things and also took the time to get to know me as a person. I would recommend this team to anyone looking for a great dental office.

Very comfortable office. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The hygienist Nicole did such a good job and was so personable. She took the time to get to know me. Pam helped me with some insurance questions. Dr. Runyan made me feel like a valued patient. All in all a very good experience.

I have had many wonderful experiences with staff at White Oak Dental. Becky has been my hygienist for a long time now and she always does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. She is a great listener when it comes to dental issues as well, making sure my concerns are addressed! Definitely recommend this facility for dental work!
