Deanna is our newest member of our reception team.She has many years of experience at Johns Hopkins in their Neuroscience department where she acted as a receptionist and patient coordinator. After DeeAnna took some time off, she redirected her path to dentistry. We are lucky to have her. Patients find her efficient and professional, yet with her unique personal approach, they also find her comforting.
Pam has been with our team since 2000. As the office manager, Pam has the daunting responsibility of coordinating patient treatments, insurance processing oversight, and the general day to day running of our practice. She is also a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers. In 2016, she, along with the doctors at White Marsh Family Dentistry, helped form the first Dental Office Manager Study Club in the Baltimore area. Pams experience in the dental field began in 1995. The knowledge and skills she gained during previous experience at The University of Maryland Dental School have benefited all of us at White Marsh Family Dentistry. Her ability to assume new responsibilities and her smiling, relaxed attitude are assets to our team.
Sue has been with us since September 2014. She is a true people person and enjoys the interaction she has with our patients. Sue has a quick wit and brings a creative approach to her position with our reception team. She puts patients at ease when working through financial arrangements.
Angie is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been with us since 1997. She is a graduate of Baltimore City Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Dental Hygiene. Angies ability to connect with each patient and her technical abilities as a dental hygienist are evident in the outstanding care she gives and the frequent compliments offered by her patients. Her skills and attributes are appreciated by all.
Susan is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been with our practice since 2009. Originally from Upstate New York, Susan graduated from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She also attended the prestigious Pankey Institute for advanced studies in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMJ) and Occlusion. Susan enjoys getting to know her patients and shares in their excitement as they reach their dental health goals. With more than 20 years in the dental field, she brings a vast amount of experience to our office and patients.
Julia has joined our office in 2008 and is the chair side assistant for Dr. Steven Litwin. Julia is a wonderful person whom compliments our already great team of professionals. Her expertise in the field of dental assisting is second only to her great disposition and attentiveness to details. Julia has a gift of making sure that all patients are comfortable and relaxed even during difficult procedures. Patients, staff and doctors all appreciate Julias talent that elevates the level of care to an even higher standard.
Lauren joined our office as a Dental Assistant in 2011. In addition to her experience as chair-side dental assistant, Lauren educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Lauren received her training at Anne Arundel Community College as well as from The Maryland State Dental Association. Upon completion of her studies in 2006 Lauren received her certificate as a Qualified Dental Assistant and earned advanced degrees in Expanded Functions as well as Oral Radiology.
Bettys career in dentistry began as a dental assistant prior to her joining our office and soon followed with an Associate of Art Degree in Dental Hygiene from the Baltimore City Community College. She joined our office in 2001 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Bettys extraordinary attention to details and superior level of clinical skills serve as inspiration to everyone at White Marsh Family Dentistry.

Absolutely the nicest people work here. Always helpful and thoughtful. No one makes you feel rushed. Great care and quality work. Dr. Faruggia is the best! ( Sorry, probably spelled that wrong). LOL.

First time and the appointment didn't take long to get. Staff was very friendly, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. They have good hours, the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Told my coworkers about it and can't wait to get my husband in there. Highly recommend!

After not going to the dentist for 5 years, I was super nervous about what was going to happen. I went in expecting a cleaning, however, after i spoke with Angie, she made me aware of the steps we would have to take to get my teeth and gums in better health. The dentist and hygienist were VERY thorough and explained everything in great detail. The before and after is ASTONISHING to me and I could not be happier to be their patient. I will be coming back forever, and bringing my kids and husband with me, as well as referring everyone to this practice!! Thank you so much Angie and White Marsh Family Dentistry!!!!!

Very Professional along with very personable. They do not judge you for your horrible teeth or gums. They just work with you to satisfy your every need and give you what you want for better and healthy teeth. I highly recommend this place. I changed from my own dentist whom I had for over 20 years. I don't know why I did not see them sooner. Thanks to my Son for going there or I would have never gone.

Called and got a appointment very quickly the receptionist was very polite on the phone I arrived for my appointment and was seen on time everyone who I had encountered was very nice and polite the dentist Dr Farrugia took his time to explain what was going on so I would understand and what I would need to do. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great dentist this is the place for you.

I am visiting from out of town and became an emergency appointment after chipping a tooth. I am a horrible horrible baby of a patient ... The entire staff: scheduling, front desk, dental assistant Donna and Dr. Farrugia were exceptionally gentle, polite and calm with me (cool water hurts my teeth) - nothing hurt during this visit; not even the Novocain injection). White Marsh emailed my primary dentist back home, sent the images they took today and forwarded the treatment plan and recommendation for follow up. I cannot speak more highly of the care I received from this team. Thank you kindly (and Happy Birthday Dr. J)!

The entire experience was excellent, from the initial phone call to the solution of the problem. The staff was polite, professional, and timely. The facility was very clean and welcoming. Dr. F even called me personally later that evening. This is an exceptional dental practice and I would highly recommend White Marsh Family Dentistry.

I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter who was blocked. I've always been the type of mother that listens before I jump to conclusions. My daughter is a very professional woman and the blocking of her review allows me to see that they may be blocking any review that is negative and not in their favor. Below is her review: "I contacted this dentist as a new patient under the impression they were in my insurance network as the front desk took my insurance information I asked her to confirm they took my insurance which she confirmed they did! The dentist Dr Farrugia filled cavities in my 2nd appointment where I was charged $150 and referred me to an endodontist to do part 1 of a root canal where I then paid $100. I followed up with this dentist for my crown appointment (5 days away) for pricing (yes I had to call them) and to my surprise was told u would be charged an out of pocket fee of $525!!! In complete shock and pain(my mouth) I argued that their office needed to be more efficient in communicating pricing as I had to call to ask for pricing for my previous appointments. I explained to them that springing a price like that on someone with a TEMPORARY FILLING and experiencing what I feel is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed in timely fashion was unacceptable and unprofessional. The woman on the phone told me she understood and apologized and said she would talk to Dr FARRUGIA to see what they can do. I thanked her and proceeded to call my insurance who then informed me that this dentist is NOT IN MY NETWORK! Which is why the out of pocket expense was so much more. The next morning i receive a certified letter from the dentist ACCUSING me of using profanity and dropping me as a patient because of that. I DID NOT USE any profanity as I was in a Public place where there were children. I know I was not nice but cursing was never used!! I would have NEVER made an appointment with a dentist that is not in my network and was defrauded into seeing this dentist. I would not recommend seeing this dentist as they are not upfront and will drop patients without a care in the world. THEY ARE NOT COMPETENT neither EMPATHETIC!"
