Dr. White is a third generation Santa Barbara native and has been practicing as an orthodontist in the community for more than 15 years. He received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. He graduated with honors (top 3 % of his class) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. White continued his training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at UCLA, receiving his certificate in 1996.
Dr. White is an affiliate member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California State Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society, and the Goleta Dental Study Club.
Dr. White is married to his wife of 20 years, Michele, and, together, they have three children: Thayer (17), Hannah (14), and Kendall (11). Their family is very active in the local sports scene, including volleyball, golf, tennis, horseback riding, basketball and hiking.
Dr. Grube received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University. He completed his Orthodontic residency at UCLA, where he also received a Master's degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Grube has provided the highest quality orthodontic care since 2009.
He is an affiliate member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California State Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society, and the Goleta Dental Study Club. Dr. Grube is also a member of the SPEAR study group.
Dr. Grube and his wife, Jennie, have three children: Jack (6), Ella (4), and Clementine (1). They enjoy surfing, volleyball, skiing, mountain biking, travelling and flying to Mexico with the non-profit organization, Aeromedicos.

At 77 years old and with crooked teeth I was sure nothing could be done about it. Then I was referred to White & Grube! 15 months later my teeth are straight and I can hardly believe it. During the painless process including a number of brief stops at their offices, the staff was accommodating, prompt and friendly and the docs were great! I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work and most of all the results!

Dr. White and Grube's office and staff are top notch and professional. They treated all of my children with kindness and gentleness. Not only do they know their trade, they also know how to make each patient feel like a patient and not just a revolving door of teeth to straighten! They also take the time to explain. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much to White & Grube for saving the day when my permanent retainer came loose while on holiday in Santa Barbara. The friendly reception team managed to find an appointment for me at less than 24h notice. The clinic is very pleasant and convenient to get to from downtown Santa Barbara. My retainer wire was fixed in about 2 mins and done perfectly at the first attempt. THANK YOU so much White & Grube for making me comfortable and allowing me to enjoy the rest of my holiday in California without a metal wire poking into my tongue!

Dr. Grube and Dr. White have been my family's orthodontists since I was in junior high school. They are awesome! Not only did they fix my smile back in junior high, but they've been there for me ever since, even though I am no longer a patient. I moved to the east coast for college in 2015 and stayed post-grad. After a bad filling experience with a dentist resulting in jaw pain and migraines, I consulted Drs. White and Grube and they took the time to address all my concerns and to use their connections to get me a great dentist and orthodontist out here. I would recommend them to anybody!

Dr Grube and White have been amazing! I have used their orthodontist treatments for myself and my four children. Their teeth are absolutely beautiful. We each had very different cases.
