TL;DR: Come here if you want to pay $3,000 more than you need to. White Family Dental has the most atrocious, unethical billing practices I've ever seen. As a hygienist myself, I was appalled to see the treatment plan my brother sent me after his new patient visit at Dr. White's office. First of all, they determined that he needed four quadrants of scaling and root planing ("deep cleaning") which, after seeing him myself, he didn't. His deepest pocket was a single 5mm pocket that showed slight radiographic bone loss. This is NOT generalized periodontitis. Even a localized SRP on this one area would have been understandable but four quadrants? Excessive. But that's not even the worst part. What is inexcusable is the way they nickel-and-dime their patients and insurance for every procedure (see treatment plan in photos below). They tack on all these extra charges that typically are, and should be, included in the procedure cost since each step is required in order to complete the treatment properly. For example, they charge $39 per nerve block (numbing injection). They charge $31 to take an x-ray to check their own work after a procedure. They charge $4.50 to pack cord around a crown. They charge $35 to take an intraoral photo. $35 for composite filling material per filling. This is ON TOP of the $210 you're already paying for your composite filling. I showed this treatment plan to some of my colleagues and they were equally horrified. The sad part is, if you don't work in the dental field, you might see this treatment plan and think it is normal. It is neither normal nor ethical. I don't know how this office has 5 stars after cheating their patients like this. Patients trust us as dental professionals to give them the best care possible for a fair price, not to take advantage of them in their time of need. When my brother saw the prices Dr. White's office gave him, he felt completely overwhelmed and therefore did not get ANY of the work done at this office. He thought these prices were normal and just assumed that dental care was not in his budget. When my brother showed me the treatment plan, I told him that this was absolutely not normal and that he could certainly afford treatment at an office that charges standard prices. He came to the office I work at to have the treatment completed and saved around $3,000 without any discounts/changes to our typical billing practices... and that's including the plane tickets he purchased to fly here. Ridiculous. White Family Dental, be better.

I have never found a dental office that I love more than White Family Dental. I have always had a hard time going to the dentist because I have such bad teeth, but they always get me scheduled and taken care of so quickly. They have all the equipment to do crowns right in the office. I got it all done the same day I went in. Dr White and his staff are so helpful and friendly. They also explain things so thoroughly and give me all my options before they start any procedure. 10/10 would recommend

White Family Dental is always five out of five stars for our family. Dr. White is so professional with all the latest technology and the staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. They actually make going to the dentist enjoyable!!

Highly recommend. Our first visit here was with my father-in-law who had dementia at the time. He was visiting from out of state and had suddenly stopped eating meals he typically enjoyed. So I called all over trying to find a dentist that would see him quickly for what I guessed was a tooth problem. Dr. White's kind and patient bedside manner to an elderly disoriented man in pain was unforgettable. The tooth was removed and I will never go to another dentist as long as I live in the area. Over the past 5 years the entire staff have continued to be as wonderful with my family of 6 as they were that first day.

White Family Dental was a dream! I've had lots of bad dentist experiences and now I'm petrified of going. A friend recommended this dental office and I'm so grateful. They were non judgmental, kind and gentle. Dr. White spends time with you and really explains what's going on in your mouth. I walked out of there knowing that I will be back in six months for a checkup which I never planned after leaving a dentist before! Thank you White Family Dental team!

I have gone to MANY dentists in the past that have done horrible work that has not lasted long and needed to be replaced. I absolutely LOVE that Dr. White can offer the best quality for my mouth and I have never seen such beautiful work! As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Could not recommend them enough.

I would highly recommend this dentist in Pleasant Grove, Utah (next door to Walmart neighborhood market)! I have been going here for over two years now. Dr. David White, owner of White family dental, is so personable, kind and honest! He has a state of the art facility. He and his staff are wonderful! They are willing to work with you on the finances.

2021 Update: 2 years later, still going here. This dental practice is top tier. Dr. White and his team continue to stay up to date on modern practices and technology to provide the best quality of Dental care. I'm impressed each time I visit with the new things I learn. If you want a dentist that cares for you and takes time to educate and help you to make the best decisions for you, then White Family Dental is the place for you. 2019 White Family Dental is the most caring dentist office I have ever been to. They are so easy to work with and always make sure to educate me fully so that I understand what's happening. They have boosted my confidence and helped me attain a better smile! They make you feel like family and I'm always excited to go to the dentist. Even when I break my teeth. I recommend W.F.D. to everyone!

This is one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. It's been a while since I had a cleaning and I was expecting the worst. Instead I literally walked out of their office pain free. The dental hygienist Ashley was amazing and super gentle! Dr. White was thorough, professional and very personable. Thanks for a great experience! See you in 6 months!

My parents have gone to White Family Dental since they opened. They are very happy with the individualized care and personal attention they have received from Dr White. Since they started going to him, my dad has had a couple of strokes and a broken hip. I now take them to their appointments. I have seen that Dr White has shown personalized concern for their overall health. He does all he can do to help them feel at ease and comfortable thru their procedures. The front desk receptionists are friendly and they are helpful with the changes in their health thru the 4 years they have been going there. They are accommodating and easy to get into for appointments. They make sure that their preventive care is complete. We all 3 highly recommend White family Dentist. My dad, especially, looks forward to seeing them every 6 months for his cleaning... which says a lot... he is 86 years old, and used to have great anxiety about going to the dentist until finding Dr. White.

We had a great experience from start to finish. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and all three of my kids loved getting their teeth cleaned! It was my daughter's first dentist visit and they made it fun for her, totally calmed her nerves. Dr. White was really great with them, and took time to visit with me and make sure he answered any questions I had. The office was very clean and they were great about cleaning the room between patients.

Dr White is awesome, but the cleaners can be hit or miss. You can either come in and feel extremely relaxed, or your gums can feel really sore after dozens of highly aggressive pokes from a metal hook. On the other hand, Dr White does a great job of being open and honest. He doesn't push you into unnecessary procedures but also encourages you to fix things you ought to have fixed. My dental health has been fairly routine, so I can't speak for his effectiveness on more exotic treatments.

We had a great experience from start to finish. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and all three of my kids loved getting their teeth cleaned! It was my daughter's first dentist visit and they made it fun for her, totally calmed her nerves. Dr White has been so great to my wife and me! I came in today for a crown and they actually have the equipment to make it on the spot. No more waiting for the permanent to come back from the lab. They were even kind enough to let me watch the machine mill my new tooth out of the solid block of material.

I'm very happy with the personal care and customer service provided by White Family Dental. The experience there is never uncomfortable, no matter the procedure being done. I would recommend to anyone looking for dental care in Utah County.
