Dr. Sun received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1988. She also received her Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 1988. She completed her general dentistry residency program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Since then, Dr. Sun has been in private practice for more than twenty-four years. She enjoys providing many areas of dentistry.
In 2019 and 2020, Dr. Sun was recognized as an America's Top Dentist. In 2019, White Eagle Family Dentistry was also voted as top neighborhood favorites by next door. Dr. Sun strives to provide the highest quality of dentistry to the whole family. She is passionate about her work and her patients. In keeping with this commitment, she attends continuing education seminars to stay abreast of the latest techniques and technology in dentistry.
Dr. Sun also has a strong commitment to service. For many years, she and her family traveled with a team of dentists and hygienists to provide free dental care to the people of Jamaica. Dr. Sun also provided free dental care to the homeless through the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago for many years; Dr. Sun and her husband have four adult children and one grandson. Outside of the office, she and her husband enjoy time with family and long walks with their dogs.
Jill received her Dental Hygiene degree from Parkland College in Champaign, IL, in 1993. She is Board Certified, and also had her certification in local anesthesia. Jill has worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist in our office since February 2011. In her spare time, Jill loves to volunteer at her daughters' school and attends their many activities! You can schedule with Jill at our office on Saturdays.
Brenda received her dental hygiene degree from Prairie State College and has over 25 years of experience as a hygienist. She has worked for the Navy as a contractor and has her certification in local anesthesia. She likes to get to know her patients so she can better serve them. Brenda is married and her son is active in Scouts and currently working on his Eagle rank. She enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking and playing hockey.

White Eagle Dentistry blends state of the art technology with old fashioned customer service. I highly recommend the practice as the clearly care about their patients and have a refreshing no nonsense approach to dentistry. In the past I dreaded going to the dentist, but not any more! I will be remaining as a regular and loyal customer.

I had a great first-time experience with White Eagle Family Dentist. Brenda was my hygienist and she took very good care of me. She answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease (I usually hate the dentist). Doctor Sun was also very kind and knowledgeable and she seemed to truly care about me and my dental health. Everything was clean and everyone was very friendly. I also appreciate their COVID screening process and procedures. I felt safe and in good hands. I definitely recommend this practice. 5 Stars!

Dr Sun is just the best. Very professional and reliable. Open and honest communication, highly skilled, they take their time for you and make you feel comfortable. Also for kids a great place to go, my kids like going to the dentist now. I would highly recommend her. Also, no billing isues at all. They are very open and clear, very friendly, patient and they put a lot of effort into communication with your insurance to get the best out of your insurance.

The unprofessional-ism of this post response from their office speaks volumes. First, it wasn't an emergency procedure; if it was, is that supposed to be disclosed on a public site? Legally? Let's be clear, I NEVER received several bills. Also, as mentioned in my prior comments, I inquired several times if I would have a follow up bill. I just didn't want any surprises... Finally, I am not going to argue with a business on a review about my personal file. I was general and stated facts. Have a good day. The visit was okay, typical dentist appointment. The horrible part was billing. I inquired at the office, if I would receive any further bills after the visit. The receptionist promised I wouldn't. The FOLLOWING year, I received a bill of $24, ignored the bill. It was a year later and I thought it was a mistake due to the fact the receptionist promised me no additional cost, insurance covered everything. Decided to go to a different dentist, requested my ex rays to be sent to the new dentist. The same receptionist stated she is unable to send ex rays, there is a $80 balance. WHAT? It went from $0 to $24 to $80. That is horrible! I visited them in 2015 it is now 2018....

Dr. Sun is the absolute best dentist and so knowledgeable! I love her and her staff! My husband and I saw her before we had kids and now we have a family, we all go! Its been 12+ years! She's very thorough and will never try to talk you into procedures that are not needed. If you are looking for a dentist in the Naperville/Plainfield area I highly recommend!

Dr. Sun and her staff are always so friendly! I've never been a big fan of going to the dentist but I definitely don't dread coming here like I have with dental offices in the past. The front desk is very easy to work with and welcomes me with a smile. The hygienists do a great job; I've never had a bad conversation with any of them and I feel they finish in a timely manner as well as hit all my checkpoints in a cleaning! Each time I've had more serious work done the assistants have been lovely and very accommodating/understanding that I'm a little nervous (which helps a lot!) And Dr. Sun is definitely one of sweetest dentists I've ever had, plus she's great at what she does! My teeth have been looking and feeling great since I've started going here.
