At White Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, our dental office is located in a building that looks more like a house, yet equipped with advanced digital technology and techniques to enhance your dental experience and deliver efficient, effective treatment. Basically, we combine the best of traditional and modern dentistry for your optimal care and comfort.
Dr. White literally grew up around dentistry in her native North Carolina. Her mother and grandmother were both dental hygienists, so she worked as a dental assistant in their dental offices throughout college and in high school, and she fell in love with the profession. Today, shes thrilled to carry on their legacy by making it easier for local families to smile.
After beginning her college education at Virginia Tech (where she kept busy thanks to being a cheerleader in addition to class), she eventually obtained her dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia through Virginia Commonwealth University. Always eager to increase her knowledge, she has since attended numerous training courses focused on cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, and the treatment of complex dental cases. She also maintains active memberships in a number of professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Lynchburg Dental Society, and SPEAR Education.
Dr. White is married to her partner here at White Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, Dr. Brandon White, and together they have two young daughters whom they adore and who keep them very busy. When she can, she likes to go on dental mission trips to help underprivileged populations around the world, and she has previously worked with La Casa De Mi Padre Orphanage to serve children in El Salvador.
After achieving his Bachelor of Science in Economics from North Carolina State University, Dr. White pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. Following graduation, he also completed a General Practice Residency in Hospital & Special Needs Dentistry at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA.
Dr. White really enjoys being able to meet new people every day as part of his job! He finds the gradual process of building warm, trusting relationships with the patients he cares for over the years very rewarding.
Originally from Forest City, NC, Dr. White is married to Dr. Julia White, and they have two daughters together who keep them very busy. When he has spare time outside of the dental office, he enjoys golfing, exercising, going on bike rides and hikes with the whole family, and regularly getting involved at his local church. He also goes on dental mission trips whenever he can in fact, hes been to El Salvador twice, where he worked as a local childrens home and treated dental needs in the community.

Dr. J. is fantastic! She cares tremendously for her patients and the quality of her work. She has helped me out with numerous situations and every time has been a great experience. Her staff and office are all very professional and well equipped. So glad she and her husband have a thriving dentistry in Goode. VA!

I have been going to this office for years. I had cracked a tooth they got me in quickly and Dr. J White was amazing as usual. She knows I have anxiety with dental stuff. She and her staff are amazing! They put me at ease. So thankful I have them.

was best experience, least painful experience that I have had at a dentist in my 56 years, and I had 2 teeth removed, one of which had broken off prior to the extraction. Yay Dr. White!

My family has been coming here for some time. Their hygienist are all great as well! The White's have since taken over practice and have been outstanding. My daughter chipped her tooth Sunday afternoon and was in pain- I called the office as I thought maybe they had emergency number. However I did not leave message but was going to hold off and call them Monday morning. Minutes later I get a text from Dr. White seeing I called and I explained situation- they gave me steps to follow to minimize her pain and scheduled me for 830 apt following morning. They helped ease my worry and was able to see and fix her tooth within 24 hours. Both Dr. White's are very professional and gentle with care. Thank you to them and their staff!

This was my first time having Dr. White do any work on me. I needed to have an old crown replaced and another crown on the tooth right next to that one. I barely felt it when she was getting me numb! Dr. White and Julie (the assistant) both took great care in completing the appointment in a timely manner. They both took the time to explain what they were doing during each step of the visit which I truly appreciated. It was really interesting to see the digital impressions that they took showing me what my teeth looked like before they put my temporary crowns on. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

A great husband and wife Dental Team! My wife and I have been their patients since they opened for business and again I can't express enough how impressed we are with their unmatched dental skills, endearing personalities, and professionalism. Their entire staff and dental assistants truly mirror these same attributes. I recently had four dental implants and six frontal/upper replacement teeth they orchestrated and completed well beyond my expectations.
