Our practice is extremely fortunate to have not one, but two excellent dentists who are ready and able to carry on the proud tradition of dental care here at White Clay Dental Associates. Both Dr. Ganfield and Dr. Bond have years of experience providing all types of dentistry services, and they always put patient relationships ahead of profit. Dr. Ganfield has always had a strong passion for helping others, and dentistry is a highly rewarding line of work in this regard! He also has a genuine affinity for serving all types of patients and being able to make a noticeable difference for their smiles, whether cosmetically or functionally.
Having grown up here in Delaware, Dr. Ganfield attended the University of Delaware for his undergraduate degree before pursuing his doctorate at Temple University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He furthered his training by completing a dedicated residency in general dentistry at Christiana Care Hospital. He also regularly attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry, including training in orthodontics (Invisalign Clear Braces and Six Month Smiles) and dental implants. He is currently a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Ganfield has spent time in Guatemala on dental missions helping underprivileged children and adults correct oral healthcare problems while providing the education necessary to prevent future issues. Whenever hes not busy at work, Dr. Ganfield spends time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys watching (and occasionally coaching) his kids sporting events, vacationing at the beach, or having an adventure in the mountains. Hes also a big Eagles fan!
Dr. Bond began his college studies at Bucknell University as an engineering major, but he also had a keen interest in medicine and architectural design. At that time, his older brother was in dental school. During a visit with him at Georgetown University, he saw that dentistry combined qualities from each of those disciplines very well. At the beginning of his sophomore year back at Bucknell, he decided to change his major to chemistry with an emphasis on pre-dental studies.
Today, Dr. Bond is still thrilled to have been able to combine his interests into such an amazing career. However, the most satisfying part of practicing dentistry by far has been the relationships hes made with so many wonderful Newark-area families.
Dr. Bond achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He was a Cum Laude graduate and inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following graduation, he furthered his training by completing a residency program in general dentistry at Christiana Care Hospital. He also regularly attends continuing education courses on a yearly basis in order to stay current with the latest advancements in oral healthcare.
Dr. Bond is currently a member of the Medical-Dental Staff at Christiana Care, where he volunteers his time teaching and mentoring current dental residents. He is also a consultant and referral dentist for the University of Delaware Health Service. His other memberships include:
When he isnt busy at work, Dr. Bond spends his free time traveling, bicycling, playing tennis, and skiing. However, his greatest satisfaction comes from spending time with his wife Janis and grown daughters Lauren and Jeanette.

What a wonderful dental practice! We have been coming here for 36 years. Still great service, never wait, friendly staff, talented doctors. Hesitated to get a dental implant for a few years but went very smoothly with no pain. Beautiful results!!! Thanks!

Dr Ganfield and his team are top notch. The focus on you as a person. He has a conservative approach recommending treatment when it needs to be done and not recommending unnecessary things. One of the best dentists i have ever been to. And his team is outstanding too

I have had a lot of work done by Dr. Bond. He is an experienced and wonderful professional with excellent bedside manner. The staff is very competent and friendly. The office runs like clockwork. It is maticulously clean and disinfected. Covid prevention protocol is followed routinely. You get reminders about your appointments and can easily access a helpful human to answer your call. I highly recommend The White Clay Dental.

I am so fortunate to have Dr. Bond and Dr. Ganfield taking care of my teeth. Over the last couple of decades, Dr. Bond has performed two bonding correctives for a gap in my front teeth. Needless to say he has me smiling confidently because of the superb work he and his team has done. From Ava, to Dusty and Debbie, everyone makes me feel welcome and appreciated. Drs Bond and Banfield are very good dentists. A few years ago I had a major dental issue. They got me chewing again very quickly. No pain. No waiting. Very friendly, effective and efficient staff pull it all together.

Dr. Ganfield and Dr. Bond have been our family dentists for over 15 years. Not only are they and their staff warm and friendly, but they are genuinely concerned about each patient. Their advice on needing dental care, and the quality of care they give is outstanding. They have given us expert advice and referrals about my receding gums, grinding my teeth, my husband's need for braces, as well as providing routine care of our teeth and smiles. Most recently, Dr. Ganfield has had to bond some of my front teeth where chipping has occurred due to me grinding my teeth. The color of the bonding and the shaping is impeccable. As I was sitting in the chair, I realized that I completely trusted him and his artistic skills. I've referred others, and they feel the same way!

This practice is superb in every way. I have been a patient for more than 40 years and never have I had to wait to be seen even a minute after my appointed time. You don't get much time to read from the rich and current selection of magazines. Above all, the office staff, the hygienists, and the doctors are polite, friendly, and thoroughly and professionally skilled. A first rate dental care provider.

I had an amazing experience at White Clay Dental. I had fallen and chipped two of my front teeth, and am a student so my dentist is back in MA. The woman at the front desk was so kind taking my call, and got me in 2 days after my accident which was amazing. Dr. Bond did an amazing job fixing my teeth. The color was matched, and it did not take too long at all. Dr. Bond even called me after the appointment to see how I was feeling and liking the teeth. Overall an amazing experience and I highly recommend Dr. Bond and his office!
