After earning his bachelors degree in biological sciences at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Anderson continued at U of MN Dental School, earning his DDS degree and graduating with honors. He then completed a select advanced dentistry residency post graduation.
To keep an eye on the latest developments in dentistry, Dr. Anderson is a member of several professional associations, including the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, and the East Metro Dental Study Club.
Dr. Andersons skills have not gone unnoticed, and hes received multiple accolades, including selection for Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazines Hall of Fame , Angies Lists Super Service Awards, Minnesota Monthly magazine, White Bear Lake magazine, and NextDoor.com.
Dr. EllenSwift was raised in Mahtomedi, MN by her father, Dr. Paul Anderson, and mother, Mary, a dental hygienist. Inspired to pursue a dental career, Dr.Swift earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction. She previously earned a degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with highest honors.
Dr. Swift is delighted to be a member of the White Bear Smiles team, and couldnt be more excited to practice dentistry alongside her father. She treats patients of all ages through a wide variety of dental procedures. She enjoys visiting with her patients, considering them her White Bear Smiles family while providing excellent oral health care.
Dr.Swift is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the St. Paul District Dental Society. These professional associations and an abundance of continuing dental education allow her to better serve her patients while keeping up on the latest techniques and technology in the industry. She is also a member of a local Spear Study Club - a group of like-minded dentists dedicated to education.
I had been referred to White Bear Smiles by a friend, and it was an amazing experience. It was clean & in a very convenient location. The staff was very friendly, from the front desk welcoming me, to the hygienist, to the dentist. I could tell the staff really get along and love working there. Highly recommend!
Dr. Anderson loves his community and makes time for helping others, whether hes supporting the Hope Dental Clinic, the Minnesota Dental Foundation, or coaching youth sports. Outside the office, Dr. Anderson might be found paddle boarding, biking, or participating in a triathlon, and chances are good that hell be with family.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Swiftis passionate about spending time with her family and friends. She can often be found at the family cabin, various workout classes, or trying new restaurants and activities in the metro area. She and her husband, Peter, welcomed a baby boy in March 2020.

I tried a couple of local dentists and this is the one to be with. What a great group of professionals! White Bear Smiles puts their patients first. Always. Dr Swift has been my wife's dentist for a few years now and she is very happy. We both have WBS's contracts and they are definitely a super value.

White Bear Smiles is the greatest!! Our dentist recently retired so we wanted to switch to a dental office closer to home. We chose White Bear Smiles and couldn't be happier!! Their office is in a great location, and I received a wonderful welcome in checking in. The entire office is designed and decorated to provide a comforting atmosphere. The entire staff, from the front office to hygienists, dental assistants and the doctors were so thorough and professional. They all are very caring and gentle with their approach. And all of the equipment was state of the art. I can't say enough about White Bear Smiles!! We have found a new home for all of our dental needs!! Thank you!!!

Dr. Anderson is a first class dentist. You cannot go wrong choosing him for your care. He recently did four extractions for me as part of some ortho work, and I was incredibly nervous for the first round. When I returned for the second round I was able to go without nitrous oxide because I knew to expect complete professionalism and a calm, experienced approach from him. He talked me thru every step and took his time to not break any teeth. He has also worked with my kids in the past, and they loved him.

I can not speak more highly of this office. They are the entire package! The front desk is organized, kind and helpful! The doctor has earned my trust with every cleaning and procedure. He is also very personable, knowledgeable and very thorough. The assistants and hygienist feel like your best friends and are a joy to your day. Another call out is billing can be so complicated. Does insurance cover this? What am I responsible for? Gosh, that's expensive, etc.. BUT, here, they do all the leg work for you and make it super clear and honor what they say. They also work with you if that's where you are at. Lastly, they always make time for me if I need to get in and get something done. Scheduling is easy and accomodating. I recently am at another dental office for invasalign because they had not started offering them yet and they were going to complete a crown for me in 3 visits, where White Bear Smiles did it in 1 and 2 weeks sooner. Stop searching. This is the Dental office you want!!

This office is very impressive. Their work is of the upmost quality and it is clear that they care about their patients. It is impressive how they have invested in the latest tech, and use it to work diligently and quickly. I'd recommend this dentist to anyone.

White Bear Smiles is wonderful! Very friendly, humble, knowledgeable and amazing staff. I was nervous as it's been awhile, but they put me at ease right away, I didn't feel overwhelmed one bit. They took excellent care of my son and I. I couldn't recommend them more!! Go THERE and take care of yourself!! :)

Really enjoy going here for our family Dentist needs. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the fact that they made me wear a mask into the building. Almost made me cancel and find a different clinic. Hope this changes in the future.

This was my first visit to a dental office in several years. From the start with receptionist to the end with the billing lady and everyone in between was absolutely fantastic. Katie was above and beyond professional and kind. Dr Anderson was detailed, polite and very informative. I have never met a staff so in sync and so diligent about patient care. I can't recommend them enough. This is truly a calm, efficient, private, clean and safe office. Thank you to all the staff who made my experience pleasant.
