Dr. Tyler Wheeler was born and raised in Gulfport, MS. He graduated with honors from Mississippi State University where he received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating from MSU, he attended University of Mississippi Medical Center where he obtained his M.S. in Biomedical Sciences.Dr. Wheeler earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Upon graduation from dental school, he received the Dr. C. Wayne Caswell Pankey Philosophy Award, the Jackson Free Clinic Student Service Award, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Certificate of Recognition, the Delta Dental Certificate of Recognition, and the E. Bud Tarrson Dental School Student Community Leadership Award. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Wheeler is married to his wonderful wife Morgan. They have a daughter, Adalyn, and a dog, Charlie, which they shower with attention. During his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, running, and visiting the barrier islands. Dr. Wheeler is committed to a high level of patient care and comfort. He strives to help patients obtain and maintain a healthy smile.
Ihave worked at Wheeler Family Dentistry for 16 years and have been in the dental field for 27 years. I enjoy working alongside both Dr. Wheelers and our wonderful staff. I take pride in scheduling our patients for their dental needs and maintaining their beautiful smiles.
I've been practicing dental hygiene for 11 years and Ilove it. I moved around for a bit after high school, but come back home to Gulfport, MS to be close to my Mississippi friends and family. Igraduated from USM in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In 2009, I received my Associate's of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Meridian Community College.
I take pride in connecting with my patients, and doing my best to make them comfortable while providing excellent care. When I'm not doing dental hygiene, Ikeep pretty busy with my wonderful husband and children.
In 2013 I graduated from Pearl River Community College, earning a degree in Dental Hygiene. I am proud to say I was awarded the 'Patient Education' award at my pinning ceremony and still love connecting with my patients to ensure they understand and trust the care I provide and are comfortable throughout the process.

I was so impressed with the entire staff. The desk lady,nurse and the dentist were so polite and professional. I was scared to death when entering only to have all my fears vanishing with all positive energy. Great family dentistry - I'd give it six stars

Whenever I have dental work done at Wheelers I feel that the problem with be taken care of and me not have to keep going back for the same issue. The hours are flexible and the location is very convenient for me.

I highly recommend this dentistry. They did an amazing job and I felt very cared for. The missing star is because I went in for a crown and it took 6ish weeks from first initial visit till completion. They are very busy!

Excellent experience. Libby the Dental Tech was fantastic. Had deep cleaning done with no discomfort and could eat anything by supper time. Staff is very professional and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone picking a Dental Clinic.
