Upon graduating from Mac-Hi, Dr. Wheeler attended Oregon State University, obtaining a Bachelors of Science degree in general science. Following his under- graduate studies at OSU, Dr. Wheeler decided to follow in his father's footsteps and obtained his Dental degree, graduating with honors from Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Continuing a Dental Legacy After Dental school, Dr. Wheeler took a position with the National Health Service Corp working as a dentist at La Clinica Health Center in Medford, Oregon. He filled this position for four years and was able to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge while there. In2011 Dr. Wheeler left La Clinica and joined Wheeler Family Dental with his father, Dr. Doug Wheeler.

Since completing Dental school, Dr. Wheeler has been an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Eastern Oregon Dental Society, and the Walla Walla Dental Society. Additionally, Dr. Wheeler frequently participates in continuing education courses, ensuring that he remains up to date with the most cutting- edge and scientifically-backed techniques in his field.

Dr. Wheeler's wife, Tara, is also a native Oregonian and was a kindergarten teacher in Medford before she and the family moved to Milton-Freewater. The Wheelers are enjoying raising their children in Milton-Freewater and being part of the community.

Marnie grew up in Pilot Rock, Oregon. She has two grown children and two grown dogs. She has lived in Milton-Freewater for 25 plus years and enjoys this community immensely. Her hobbies include camping, kayaking, working in her yard, spending time with friends and family and traveling.

Araceli Ibarra, Dental Assistant Araceli grew up in Mexico until the age of eleven when her family came to the United States. She attended McLoughlin High School in Milton-Freewater and graduated in the class of 2011.

Araceli has been in the dental assisting profession since 2017 and also has multiple years of customer service experience. She loves to help people with their oral health and looks forward to helping you with yours!

Merrianne Key, Registered Dental Hygienist Merrianne has been practicing at Wheeler Family Dental for over 25 years. Born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area, Merrianne graduated with her Bachelors degree (1986) in Dental Hygiene from Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon. After working for a dentist in downtown Portland for a year, Merrianne met her husband, Brian, on a blind date, married and moved to Milton-Freewater where she has enjoyed the rural life ever since! They have two grown children now, keeping busy with busy with family, home, yard, and Church.

Merrianne enjoys the personal connections she has built over the many years with her patients at Wheeler Family Dental. Helping them stay healthy by making their oral health her first priority, has made her work very rewarding.

Elise Mackie, Dental Assistant Elise grew up in Milton-Freewater and graduated from Mac-Hi in 2003. She earned her Dental Assistant certification the following year from Blue Mountain Community College. That same year she began working as a dental assistant for Dr. Doug Wheeler.

Crystal Wales, Office Manager & Receptionist Crystal has worked at Wheeler Family Dental for over 25 years. Her many years working there is a testament to her belief in Dr. Carl Wheelers philosophy of excellent dental care and concern for the health and well being of his patients, staff, and community. She looks forward to meeting new patients and helping them in any way at the dental office.

Family is very important to Crystal. She and her husband Darrin have been married for over 30 years. They have a grown daughter and son, whom are both married. Crystal is a grandma to four beautiful grandchildren, three granddaughters and one grandson. Let the toy shopping begin!
