It is with very mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement. My last day practicing dentistry in Albuquerque will be June 30th. I moved to New Mexico from Texas in 1992 and then to Albuquerque in 1996 and started Westside Pediatric Dentistry. I have been practicing in New Mexico for 29years. I have loved knowing all of you and providing care for your children and being part of the community. I have enjoyed practicing dentistry but feel like I am ready to move on and do those things I enjoy in life while I am still in my youth (lol!). I plan to spend time traveling and volunteering my dental services in other countries while I am still able. I will continue to live in New Mexico for a good amount of time until I decide where to go next.
By now many of you have probably already encountered Dr. Vaughn Call. For the past year Dr. Call has been working in the office on Fridays getting used to working with the staff in anticipation of my retirement. I want to express my thanks to each of you for the warm welcome given to Dr. Call and to let you know that I am confident he will continue to provide the highest quality of service that you have been accustomed to over the years.
Dr. Vaughn Call was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended ASU for his undergraduate studies in Biology. He completed his dental education atMidwestern University in Glendale Arizona and then completed a pediatric dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Call is thrilled to have an established dental career that allowed him to remain in the Southwest.He has practiced here in the Albuquerque area as a board-certified pediatric specialist for the past 5 years. He speaksSpanish fluently and loves working with children. In his spare time, Vaughn loves being outdoors, gardening, building furniture and enjoying time with his wife and seven kids.
I would also like to introduce to you our interim dentist, Cameron Hatch, DDS. Dr. Hatch has been practicing general dentistry locally for over 12, working with children alongside Dr. Call. Having earned his dental degree at ColoradoSchool of Dental Medicine, he is also bilingual and knows some sign language.You may have seen him around, since he is a native New Mexican. When hes not working, he loves spending time with his family, fishing and golfing. We are honored and grateful to have him as a temporary member of our team, until a permanent replacement can be found.

First time at this office for my daughter. She had to get a cap on which can always be pretty scary! Everyone in the office is super sweet and patient, even when my daughter was super nervous and scared. Really appreciate everyone there

I'm glad I decided to start taking my 2 and 4 year old here- everyone has been friendly and really try to make sure my kids are comfortable when being seen!

Great office for kids! My children always feel safe and respected during their visit. The dentist and dental assistants always make sure the kids know what is happening and make sure they're comfortable, especially my special needs child.

I had had pretty decent encounters with the staff here. That is until today that I received a call from them, I ended up canceling an appointment. The girl didn't hang up on me and started talking about me. Maybe hang up the line before trash talking. Ive never had issues with the dental assistant or dentist here but the front end employees lack customer service and respect.

Receptionists we're very rude!! The only reason I'm taking my son to his appointment is because I can't get him in nowhere else sooner!!! So after this appointment we will NEVER come back and I won't ever recommend this dentistry to anyone!!

From the moment we walked in to when we walked out everyone was phenomenal! Our assistant was very understanding that my little one was nervous and super patient when X-rays were hard to get. I appreciate everyone for making our experience great! Thank you!

We love Dr. Broussard! He has taken very good care of my three kids throughout the years. The staff is so nice here as well. I highly recommend this pediatric dentistry office. The Staff keeps this office very clean, sanitized and comfortable. Happy Retirement Dr. Broussard!! We are going to miss you!! We are looking forward to getting to know the new Dr. - The Vigil- Leyva Family!

Easy first visit for my almost 2 1/2 year old. They showed him all the tools they would use and what they were going to do. They were patient and kind with him. My son got nervous and cried a little when laying back to let the dentist examine his teeth, but overall it was a successful dentist visit. We look forward to taking him here in the future.

This dentistry was by far the best experience for both my children. The receptionists were very friendly and so was the hygienist. Dr. Rowan was very nice as well. I highly recommend this place and will be making this our permanent dentist for future appointments!

My almost 4 year old Son has always had traumatic Dentist visits; we have been to 3 different places. This is the only place that he has felt comfortable. All of the staff are welcoming and have a great demeanor with kids. The Dental Assistants are absolutely 100% about making the children feel safe and explain everything to them prior to getting started. The Dentist was the same; explained everything, and had no problem with me asking questions. I drive 1.5 hours to take my Son here, and the care given to him and me makes it worth it!
