Many sports are dangerous without proper mouth protection. The generic mouthguards found in stores often dont fit well. Wearing these, its difficult to breathe properly while engaging in physical activity during sports. However, custom sports mouthguards fit well, protect very well, and can be worn as protection for any sport.
The American Dental Association recommends the use of custom mouthguards for these sports: basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, hockey, martial arts, racquetball, rugby, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, soccer, surfing, volleyball, water polo, lifting weights, and wrestling.
Dr. Stephen Kimball received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2011 from Nova Southeastern University. He went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry through the United States Air Force. Dr. Kimball was honored to serve as a dentist in the USAF for 3 years before entering private practice here in El Paso in 2012. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the El Paso Dental Society.
He is committed to keeping up to date with the latest advances in dental medicine through continuing education. His commitment to lifelong learning ensures that his patients will receive the highest quality of care, utilizing the latest techniques and technology in preventive, cosmetic, and restorative dental treatment.
Dr. Kimball loves spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their five children. They enjoy camping, hiking, music, and playing all sports. They are actively involved in their church and serving their community. One of his most rewarding experiences was when he lived in Bolivia for two years doing missionary work.

Definitely the best dental experience! I had a mouthfull of old crowns replaced, the result after Dr. Perkins, & many great Dental Assistants Terah, Christine, & Dani completed what I consider a completely new smile! Melissa, in the office helped me get a wonderful payment plan that made my beautiful smile financially possible. My teeth are perfect now and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I had my 1st visit to the Westside Dentistry Stephen Kimball's office and was treated like a queen! I was referred by Larry Moore who highly recommended this dentist! I had a Dental Assistant by the name of Terah who was the greatest. I would highly recommend this Dentistry! Dr. Hanin was my Dentist very caring Dentist!

Went for the first time to this dentist and it was amazing ! All the staff was great, especially Nadia who made it easier to get through the process and answered any of my questions. Thank you also to Dr.Kimball and his assistant who helped me as well!

I want to start off on all positive notes, I recently have had several dental procedures within the last month. I have been personally thankful for the help of Dr.Perkins and Terah, they have been VERY informative and very supportive with every detail of all of my procedures. They both are extremely kind and always treat you really great and make you feel like you're the most important in that chair. I am Thankful to have them take care of me when I am there. Just in case I'm being accused of favoriting them, I also really appreciate everyone else for their kindness and courtesy calls prior to my appointment. Truly a great place to get your dentistry work done.

Asked for consultation on Invisalign and they wanted to do a cleaning and x rays before speaking about Invisalign. Don't go if you only want consultation. Bad business practices

This dental office has really gone down hill ever since Dr. Kimball left and stopped practicing. it's just making money for him now and there's no real care involved anymore. I got a tooth 'adjusted' and waited over an hour and got charged $250 for 10 minutes of work... I mean come on! On top of that they needed to have payment that day... I couldn't leave until I gave them the full amount ... no bill, no other option other than pay now or else. I paid them their blood money and left... Like I said, used to be good to clients but not anymore.

I did not have the most positive experiences going to the dentist growing up, this made me anxious as an adult. 5 years ago I had a dental emergency and was fortunate enough to make an appointment with Dr. Kimball. He along with his staff were professional and caring. It eased my anxiety so much I decided to return and have been a patient of theirs since. After the pandemic I noticed a new office staff was hired and Dr. Kimball was no longer seeing patients. HUGE red flags but because my experience had been positive I decided to continue being a patient. I got some services done only to find out after that my insurance was now out of network. MONTHS later I get billed and have to set up a payment plan. This should have been enough to stop me from going but I didn't learn. This happened 2-3 more times. "Oh we billed your insurance and they only covered this much." Which didn't make sense because I was paying out of pocket! In March, I had to get a crown done on me. Once again the insurance wasn't going to pay for it, so I paid for it on care credit. Oh which they will quickly offer. Today, at the end of August I got a text saying I owe them 200 plus dollars. I called the receptionist, she was confused as to why I was getting those fees and she placed me on hold. She comes back and tells me "your insurance didn't cover it" I'm at a loss for words. I paid it out of pocket!!! To add, the dentist they have now was discussing personal matters while working on my teeth. I could not believe what was coming out of his mouth while the assistant awkwardly laughed. A couple of years ago I would have recommended this place but now I'm sad to say I'm going to have to look for another dentist. I'm one person who won't have much impact but I want to warn others before it happens to them. I will echo what other people have said in the reviews, if you want a dentist that treats you like an assembly line, if you want to get random fees billed to you later, then Westside Dentistry is the place to go.

Greatest dentist experience yet. Everybody there is great. Melissa at the front desk was so amazing and helped me schedule an appointment in such short notice I definitely owe her a huge thank you. Donna was great & helped me out a whole lot and made all the paper work an easy & smooth transition. Dani the Dental assistant helped me out through the whole surgery process and was always asking me if I was okay and made sure I was doing fine. Coming from someone who deals with a lot of anxiety she definitely made me feel comfortable the whole time and made all my anxiety go away & was always reassuring me that it was going good and everything was okay. so that really meant a lot. Dr. Perkins was so great, from the start I could tell he was determined to help me, he was great at explaining everything about my situation to me and when we started the surgery I could tell he is a master of his craft. He is so skilled and looking forward to seeing the end result, I know I'm in great hands. Everybody at Westside Dentistry is amazing, highly recommend 5 out of 5 stars

Doctor Kimball and his staff, were very careful and selective with the fit of crowns, I appreciate this. The team is always working together and complimentary to each others jobs and tasks. Very poor business practices. DO NOT IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS. I came here with a positive attitude IGNORING the bad reviews. BIG MISTAKE. The staff is very rude. These people will try and rip you off from every penny they can. I went for a simple cleaning and the dentist suggested for me to get my wisdom teeth removed. I DO NOT HAVE pain in them, other dentists have even told me they are in great shape. I have gone to 2 other dentists and they never recommended such thing. When I asked what was the reason she "recommended" for me to get my wisdom teeth removed, she said "To prevent future complications". From that moment I knew everything would go downhill as that already sounds like a way to make more money. They denied to perform a cleaning because they wanted to do a DEEP CLEANING. Deep cleaning = Deep Pockets. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! There was no procedure done and guess what? NO REFUND. Complete ripoff. I am sure in the future their rating will start to decrease little by little. Do not be fooled by the overall rating. This is not the way to conduct a business.

Dr. Perkins and his assistant Dani where very professionals and courteous. Not only they've done a great job but also fast and efficient, therefore minimizing the risk for infections. After the painless operation (for an implant), it was a thorough follow up with great care and completeness. From the medication needed for an speedy recovery to a follow up phone call. I highly recommended.

This place is terrible, I went in for a root canal and they also made my crown. The crown they put kept on falling and after the 7th time of me going they wanted to charge me for putting the crown back on. I finally went to a different dentist and they had to retreat since the specialist that did my root canal there apparently did the job wrong. I did try going back there but they wanted to charge me a lot more and didn't care about fixing what they had done wrong. I wouldn't recommend this place at all
