Joshua Gonzalo was born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines. His formative and tertiary education covers extensively the fields of nutrition and dietetics. He spent over 5 years in the field of dental assisting here in the USA working with a wide cross section of specialization.
His extensive knowledge base, plays an integral part in his role as, manager and treatment plan coordinator at Westside Dental. He is able to formulate treatment plans for patients, while simultaneously link the correct treatment to their health and nutrition. Joshua is very conscious of the link between Dentistry, nutrition and dietetics as well as the critical aspects it plays in overall well being. Most important to him is providing quality dentistry coupled with care and compassion.

Of course it was great. Staff courteous. But after considering my age, I decided I will just settle for dentures/bridge and not inplants...sustaining a heavy debt is not financially intelligent...WILL BE BACK IN TWO WEEKS

Never thought I would leave a review for a dental office, but Westside Dental was amazing. The facility is very clean and modern. The ladies at the front desk were extremely pleasant and very helpful. I had a cleaning with the hygienist, Jacqueline, and she had the gentlest touch! I've had cleanings at other offices that were painful and rough. But, Jacqueline was amazing. I will definitely be back, as I am planning to make them my permanent dentist's office.

Westside Dental used to be the best with Yuri and Dr Lev. It was welcoming, caring and professional. Then management changed after Yuri passed and things began changing and you felt like a number. Again management changed and the atmosphere is at its worst. I'm my visit today, I had concerns with loose implant crown which was done when the practice belonged to Yuri. The current dentist stepped out of the room after examining my tooth and I overheard him saying, "I don't want to have anything to do with this." This new management is blind to any previous work that you did under previous managements. Very unprofessional, very tacky. Goodbye Westside Dental

It's really the kind of best quality team with top skills for the dental patients that are unmatched THE precision & strategy for each patient is shaped by their top professionals!! THE EXTENSIVE WORK ON ME TOOK 5 MONTHS & FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I can surely say my teeth & dental health had never been as perfect as it can be. The first time I came here about a year ago, I had Dr. Joshua and it was a very good experience. Very professional, very straightforward. I believe Dr. Joshua is still there, but I just was here yesterday and had a different doctor. The single worst dental cleaning I've had since moving to NYC. It was bad enough that I probably will not be coming back here. Severe pain from the doctor not being careful (I know cleanings are not pain free, but this was just unnecessary), unsatisfactory cleaning job, overall disregard for a major procedure I had requested a consultation for. Not a good experience. To add to this I can never get a hold of anyone on the phone there. Even after leaving messages. Even when I scheduled the first time about a year ago with Dr. Joshua. The only way I was ever able to get anyone on the phone was to submit a booking appointment online and wait for the phone call and hope that I pick it up in time. Edit: I almost forgot, someone knocked on the door to come in and the doctor nearly stabbed me in the eye with the dental scraper when they swung around to open the door. I don't like leaving reviews like this because it can be detrimental to the business but this was just the worst.

Fabulous work by Dr. Val Atsen! I had very old messed-up composites due to childhood teeth problems and decided to get veneers instead. I'm so happy with the results. Very warm, professional assistants and office staff, too. Thank you!
