Westside Dental Center exists to allow God to exercise our team members life designs including talents and spiritual gifts for the benefit of our patients to achieve superior oral health. Our vision for this dental practice is to provide the highest quality of dental treatment and dental patient education while providing the best customer service for our patients. Our team respects each other and our patients by choosing to work together to achieve our patients dental goals as well as being committed to taking responsibility to stay up to date with the latest proven technical skills and technology of dentistry. Finally, our practice is made of a group of people who choose to be an example of a team committed to honoring God in our work.
Dr. Shuffield graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School in Memphis in 1995 where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He has also completed the total course of training at The Pankey Institute. As a Pankey trained dentist, Dr. Shuffield has been taught how to treat his patients as individuals, how to do complete examinations, how to take enough time to listen and answer questions fully, and how to create a practice that reflects his own personal values. Optimal care is the goal of Pankey-trained dentist, and this creates long-lasting comfort, function and naturally beautiful teeth. Dr. Shuffield is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) as well as the Arkansas State Dental Association (ASDA), and participates in various study clubs where he continues to update his knowledge base regarding the practice of dentistry in the 21st century. Dr. Shuffield and his wife Pam, of 32 years, have three sons and one granddaughter. When he is not in the office, he enjoys time with his family, playing golf and duck hunting.

Michelle grew up in Benton, AR and graduated from Eastern College of Health Vocations in Little Rock. She has worked for Dr. Shuffield since 2008 as a Registered Dental Assistant. Michelle and her husband, Chris, have two sons and one daughter and three grandchildren. Michelle enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting, creating homemade goods but mostly she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Mollie is a native of Little Rock, AR, and graduated from UAMS Hygiene School in 2018. She and her husband Colton do not have any human children but they do have two fur babies...Ellie and JoJo. Mollie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and shopping!
Madison was born and raised in Little Rock. She graduated from the University of Arkansas Walton School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at UAMS and recently joined Dr. Shuffields team as a registered dental hygienist. She is looking forward to a rewarding career helping her patients achieve optimal oral health! Madison loves animals and outdoor activities. She enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends, running, playing with her dog, and traveling to visit new places.
I am inspired daily by my coworkers to be my very best, both personally and professionally. The positive, encouraging atmosphere at the Westside Dental Center is contagious, and Im happy to make it my new work home!
Pam grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Baylor University where she met John and then married in 1989. Pam and John have three sons and one granddaughter! She coordinates the Front Desk responsibilities and also serves as the Office Manager. Pam enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, beach and anywhere they gather.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. John Shuffield and his staff members, Pam, Michelle, and Molly. I had previously received new patient forms and the Covid-19 questionnaire, which expedited the appointment. I also viewed Dr. Shuffield's video, which explained what to expect with regard to changes they'd made per the the new Covid-19 guidelines instituted into their office and processes. I am typically very nervous anytime I start with a new healthcare provider, and especially a new dentist. I can honestly say, I've never experienced a dental visit as expedient, personable, and pleasant as today's appointment. Dr. Shuffield provided a very thorough dental exam and addressed any questions or concerns I had. As a new patient with a prior history of dental trauma and extensive repair work, his kind, caring attitude put me completely at ease. He has a very gentle manner and touch, as does his dental assistant Michelle and hygienist Molly. By far, their office outshines any dental care I've ever had. If you are looking for a new dentist, I would highly recommend you give this practice a try.

Dr. Shuffield is an incredible dentist, much appreciation for his excellent work and thoroughness. The entire staff is accommodating and very kind. They do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable and know exactly what is going on. His hygienist, Molly, is a true gem.

Great dentist, very skilled professionally and personally. Care for the patient is very evident. Easy to work work with on the business side too, both scheduling and billing. All the staff is very good. Always a good sign when the bill is less than the estimate.

Dr, Shuffield and his staff are amazing! They make you feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time you are there. They respect your time by running a very punctual schedule, I have always been in and out in my allotted appointment time. So thankful to have them as my dentist! You won't be disappointed if you try them!

Dr. John A Cheffield is the true meaning of a Christian and it shows in his and the staff's care for the patients. One instance that comes to mind was when Dr. Jon was returning from a mission trip, but found time to call me when I was experiencing major sensitivity on one side of my mouth. Some drs. would not have gone that extra mile, but he did. Additionally, the office has reasonable dental hours so patients have more options for appointment times. They are good about working with you if you need to change an appointment or need to discuss financial options. I wouldn't choose anyone else, as West Side Dental is quite convenient, most important when dealing with oral medical needs. Keep up the great work.

Probably the finest Dentist in LR and the staff is second to none. They are so friendly and the work that Dr. Shuffield has done for my family is top notch. I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for a new dentist office!!!

My husband and I both go to Dr. Shuffield and his staff for all our dental needs. We find them so very knowledgeable, flexible, fair and honest. My husband just needed some major work done and when they got into it Dr. Shuffield realized he could do a little less and charge us a lot less. It's a blessing to have a dentist who looks out for our best interest!
