Westrock Orthodontics - Orthodontist in West Memphis, AR

Since founding Burleson Orthodontics in 2006, over 3,000 orthodontists have traveled to Kansas City from 35 countries to learn from Dr. Dustin Burlesons vision to change lives, advance the profession of orthodontics, and support our communities. At last count, the Burleson Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry offices have over 30,000 satisfied patients, traveling from cities as far away as Chicago, New York, and San Francisco to be treated by one of our certified orthodontic specialists.

Dr. Burleson is the author of two Amazon best-selling consumer books, Stop Hiding Your Smile! and The Consumers Guide to Invisalign. As a two-time Inc. 500 | 5000 honoree recognized for building one of the fastest-growing orthodontic specialty practices in North America, he was also awarded the American Dental Associations prestigious Golden Apple Award in 2014 and the Missouri Dental Associations Outstanding Dental Leadership award in the same year.

Dr. Burleson writes five professional newsletters monthly, is the director of the Leo H. Rheam Foundation for Cleft & Craniofacial Orthodontics, teaches at both Childrens Mercy Hospital and the UMKC School of Dentistry, and operates a large multi-clinic orthodontic and pediatric dental practice in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Burlesons practices have worked with the prestigious Disney Institute and Ritz Carlton to bring the same wow experience to the smiles of all our patients. Asked what makes his practice different, he quickly replied with a warm smile, Its our people, our culture, and our commitment to do whatever it takes to serve the best interests of our patients and their families, even if that means referring them to a cheaper option in town or to one of our nonprofit foundations when parents are unable to afford treatment at a Burleson facility.

Impossible to get ahold of anybody at the West Memphis location! You get put on hold forever and then get hung up on! My daughter has a broken bracket that needs fixed and I've been trying to reach them for a week now with no returned phone calls!

Poor communication with patients. They canceled my appointment and didn't even communicate the office was closed until I arrived after driving 30 minutes in a rain storm only to get there and be told they are closed due to water damage. I get stuff happens but their lack of proper communication is unacceptable. I cannot in good faith recommend them, not a good experience. No respect for patients time and effort.

if I had to option of giving 0 stars I would!! we have had a HORRIBLE experience with this office!! my daughter has had her braces for 3 months and still hasnt had the first adjustment! her first appt got changed because the office flooded during the snow.. understandable. so then we have to drive 30 min to the office in forest city till the office in west memphis is fixed....had an appt on 4/27 my husband took her, mind you he is traveling to another town down the interstate. he got her there 13 min late and they refused to see her and told him to reschedule so we hare close to 4 months without an adjustment. we will be changing orthodontist because they dnt care enough about their patients its all about the money for them....now ill be paying around $600 extra dollars for her already $7000.00 braces because they have pushed her back so far already!

I should have learned my lesson after less than a year of getting her braces off, my daughter needed to have them put back on. I told the then orthodontist that she needed a permanent retainer behind her front teeth because she has the same issue as I do and that a retainer would not work after she got her braces off. He said he did not put permanent retainers on kid's teeth. So back we go when the retainer fails to keep her front tooth from majorly shifting. Instead of going somewhere else and paying full price again, I let them put the second set on because it was 1/2 of what it would have been going to a new Dr. The "new" Westrock dr. agreed that after this second set, she would put in a permanent retainer. WOW! This is only going to cost me 3500 more dollars because the first Dr. wouldn't put one in. Then, after ANOTHER Dr., I requested the same thing. This Dr. said, we can do that and also she can get her nerve cut so the tooth shouldn't move even if the permanent retainer fails. So now she has a NEW Dr! Dr. number 5?? I think. I can't keep track. No idea what the treatment plan is after they come off. Will he do the permanent retainer? Surgery? No idea. I should have just paid whatever it cost never to not have to deal with this place. A new Dr. means they do things their way. It's beyond frustrating and needless to say, I have been very unhappy with having to get a second set of braces and dealing with numerous doctors. Today for our appointment, we call the office to let them know we are there 11 minutes past her appointment time of 3:30. They say it's 14 minutes past her appointment time and they refuse to see her. When Nicole told me they had only a 10 minute grace period, I told her that I had never heard of that before, in all the years I have been coming I guess I've never been late. That I had taken off of work and that it would not be easy for me to have to take off of work again for the same appointment. She said she was very sorry but IT WAS IN THE CONTRACT and that her clock showed us 14 min late and she had to go by her clock. Not when we actually called. I told Nicole that when I made the appointment I told them she didn't get out of school until 3:30 "that shouldn't be a problem" they said. Well guess what. Obviously, it was. I am SO fed up with the place. They are SHADY and Nicole was very condescending. Take note, keep a copy of your contract handy at all times in case you need to reference it for whatever reason while going to a routine check-up. Telling her it was very hard for me to take off of work and that we were 1) told it was no problem we wouldn't be there exactly at 3:30 2) called 11 min past appointment time. Nicole was oh so very sorry but according to her clock it was 14 min and after all, it IS in the contract...They don't care. They don't care about your treatment. The extra money out of your pocket because of their sub par work and they don't care about your time.

I have been a patient at Westrock Orthodontics since February 2019. Yesterday, June 26, 2020, was by far the worst experience I have had at the West Memphis office because of the new doctor, Dr. Watts. This new doctor was very unprofessional and mean. This doctor was visibly singling out the young lady working on me and it was very uncomfortable. I was very upset. He called this young lady out across the room asking her what she was doing in front of her colleagues and other patients suggesting she she wasn't moving fast enough on my mouth when she was doing exactly what he instructed. It made me feel like he expects these employees to operate like robots because he reminded her there were 7 patients waiting. Am i just a number? I paid a lot of money for my braces. You do not act like that. Patients are not just another number. He continued to bully this employee by coming over inspecting her work and pulled her into an office next to where my station was and chewed her up one side and down the other. Again, I was feeling even more uncomfortable. She was visibly upset shaking, but continued to be professional asking how I was doing and making sure she wasn't hurting me because the wire being placed was very thick. A bracket broke so she called for Dr Watts and he just ignored her. He continued talking to other people letting her know that he was not listening to her. When he finally came over and did my bracket this young lady pulled a the suction tube out of my mouth and he yanked it out of her hand. By this time I was beside myself. This staff does not deserve this kind of treatment in the workplace. Dr Watts leadership is horrible. This is not a reflection of the office staff in the West Memphis office as they have always been caring, compassionate, and professional. I really hope this doctor is not in the office when I return to my next appointment.

My daughter has been a patient here for over a year and I have always been satisfied with the service and treatment. Today was our first day back since COVID-19 shut down the dental office. The doctor who was in charge was a new dentist to the practice and he was horrible. He was very rude towards his patients and his staff. Luckily I had a lot of questions, so I was able to go in with my daughter, to witness his behavior. If my daughter was not so behind in treatment I would have left the office today and never came back. I am hoping he is not here at her next appointment.
