Today was my first appointment and I had an incredible experience. I initially called for a cracked filling but since I was a new patient, I had to have a full exam. I had not gone to the dentist since COVID due to my previous office temporarily closing and I didn't really like that office anyway. When I told the hygienist and Dr. Etzkorn this, neither shamed me for it. They both understood and didn't say anything else about it. I also told the hygienist that I'm not the best with flossing so I know there's some inflammation in my gums. She explained to me what she was seeing and how I can fix it at home without making me feel like I was horrible for neglecting to floss. Neither the hygienist nor Dr. Etzkorn tried to use scare tactics to make me take care of my teeth. Dr. Etzkorn was very thorough and explained everything in a way no one had before. She was able to give me more of a why rather than just "this is what you have to do!" She even understood some of the anxieties I was having about certain things I may need done and was very sympathetic about it. I appreciated not being reprimanded or lectured about things. I would recommend them to anyone! I went back to work after my appointment and told everyone in my office to go here if they're looking for a new dentist!

Yes, I thought She was a great dentist untill I explained to her my medical condition due to radiation treatments for cancer and surgical x-rays. When the harm out does the good why force a patient for prophylactic x-rays? She asked me to leave while sitting in the dental chair for a cleaning, that She would not see me anymore. If your paying someone for a service, Is it not your body ? Xrays are not Maryland law according to the State board of Dental Examiners. "Do no harm"

The entire staff has gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter was made as comfortable as possible for her filing procedures (which causes panic attacks for her). Dr Etzkorn has extreme attention to detail, and I feel like I can completely trust whatever recommendations she has. It's not that I didn't like previous dentists. Rather, I didn't trust them enough to care about really doing the hard work for dental health. With Dr Etzkorn, I feel proud to work on my dental health and I feel safe with my family going there. Plus, we've had a few dental emergencies during off hours that have been tended to, which is really important for parents. We all know that emergencies always happen during off-hours

Situation: Two crowns came loose - leaving the teeth exposed (this was done by another Dentist). In search of a new dentist after 6 years, I called Westminster Family Dentistry and Jamie answered. She was very kind and professional. I explained my problem to her and she fit me in-between two appointments for the next day at 1:30pm. She explained to me that I would more than likely be waiting a bit and I told her due to the circumstances I understood. Problem: Fast forward to the next day - I was late to the appointment trying to drive from an earlier appointment in Sykesville. Jamie called me at 1:34pm as to where-about and I responded that I was close and would be there shortly. She called back at 1:40pm right as I was at the intersection light in front of their establishment to tell me to forget about the appointment. When she said this, I fully understood and asked if we could reschedule it at a later date. She responded with: "No, no-shows that haven't even filled out their entry customer paperwork aren't wanted". i responded, so you guys won't work on my teeth". She hesitantly said "no". Summary: I was blown away by this. Westminster is a very small town, I pass by your dentist office several times a week. Life is busy and chaotic. I respect your time and was very understanding of your scheduling - but this obviously wasn't reflected towards me. You didn't provide me with a time slot - just a "let's see if there's time for you". You felt like you were going out of your way for me - but you were not. I now have to schedule an appointment elsewhere to resolve my crown issues when I could of got another dentist to cement my crowns in 15 minutes. I'm in pain at this very moment and your petty attitude and disregard of my situation leaves me in a bad spot. In an attempt to be a nice person who was professional and kind - you showed your true self: an ugly, passive aggressive person who couldn't confront me and wanted to handle it over the phone. I should of walked in there and made you turn me away to my face. That's why you called back - because you couldn't tell me to my face. I'm glad I see you and your practice for what's it is and others will see it too. Thanks, Ryan

Love it here! Every one is so nice and friendly. And they are very informative. Best dentist office I have ever brought my kids to!!! Definitely recommend!!

The dental tech is awesome. The eanings are thorough and she does it with such ease. The dentist very good chair side manners. Pleasant peeps and always try to get you in as soon as possible. Next up a new crown....gonna have to show doc the moneyyyyy lol

I took my son to his very first dentist appointment here and I was very nervous about how he would react to it. The dentist was amazing! She is so good with kids, she let him touch the intsruments she was using and it made him so comfortable! I couldn't be happier with this practice!
