Dr. Villarreal was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated from Los Fresnos High School and received her bachelors degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She obtained her dental training at Texas A&M Health Science CenterBaylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2014. She has lately received extensive continuing education in orthodontics, occlusion (your bite), full mouth rehabilitation, and cosmetic dentistry. She is an Associate Fellow of the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics, a scholar and Ambassador of the prestigious Dawson Academy, and a member of the International Dental Implant Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, Crown Council, Texas Dental Society, and Rio Grande Valley Dental Society. In her free time, she loves to read, spend time with her fur babies, travel the world, and visit South Padre Island.
Dr. Nuez is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2014. He was born and raised in Cuba, where he began his dental career. He graduated from The University of Habana in 2006 and has been to numerous countries on mission trips providing dental care. He was awarded a certificate of recognition for the Pursuit of Excellence in Dental Implants and was awarded the Dental Implant Student Award by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also received special recognition for the Pursuit of Excellence in Handicapped and Special Needs Patients. Dr. Nuez recently became an Associate Master of the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics and a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Rio Grande Valley Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry. His extensive training from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry allows him to deliver same-day implant placement on an extraction site. In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering.
Dr. Villarreal and Dr. Nuez love the Rio Grande Valley and giving back to the community, both at home and abroad. They participate in annual mission trips to the Dominican Republic, organized by the International Dental Implant Association, to donate dental implant services to patients with limited or no access to care.

Monica has been in dentistry for 11 years, three of those with Westlake Family Dentistry. She obtained her associates degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene from Texas State Technical College and also has additional training in sleep apnea treatment implementation. In her spare time, she enjoys baseball events with her son, playing with their fur baby, Flash, and participating in outdoor activities.
Norma received her bachelors degree in biology from the University of Texas at Brownsville and also has an associates degree in dental hygiene from Texas State Technical College as well as training in sleep apnea treatment implementation. She has been with our practice for three years. Norma and her spouse have been married for nine years and have two young children. She enjoys family gatherings, going to the beach, baking pastries, and reading.
Jenna joined Westlake Family Dental two years ago. Her associates degree in dental hygiene was earned at Texas State Technical College. She loves spending time with her family and going to the movies.
Briana has also been with our practice for two years and also received her associates degree in dental hygiene at Texas State Technical College. She is married with a baby girl and loves spending time with her family.
Hilda has been in dentistry for 20 years. She became a certified dental assistant through Texas State Technical College and has undergone the Utah Valley Esthetics and Occlusion Course. She has two fur babies and enjoys fishing, barbeques, cooking, singing, and photography.
Lissett was certified at the San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants and has been in dentistry for 16 years, two of those with Westlake Family Dental. She also took part in the Utah Valley Esthetic and Occlusion Course. Her spare time is dedicated to her two fur babies and her family. She is passionate about art, photography, and traveling and also enjoys fishing and cooking.
Juana joined Westlake Family Dental two years ago and has been in dentistry for eight years. She is married and has three children, and in addition to spending time with family, she also enjoys watching movies.
Jeanette has worked in our front office for three years and had a CDA from South Texas Vo-Tech. Her dog is named Rocket and she loves spending time with family, at the beach, meditating, and traveling.
Patricia, who joined our practice two years ago, has been in dentistry for four years and also has her CDA from South Texas Vo-Tech. She has been married for two years and has a Schnauzer named Flash. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and going to her local beach on South Padre Island.
