Dr. Sumit Chawla loves his chosen profession. Dr. Sumit Chawla received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago before going on to get his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Tufts University and his Certificate in Orthodontics and MBA from Roseman University of Health Sciences. He is a board certified diplomate for the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of many orthodontia-related organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and the Chicago Dental Society. His father, Dr. Jag Chawla, is also an orthodontist.Dr. Sumit Chawla has followed in his footsteps.
Dr. Jag Chawla is passionate about orthodontics and understands the importance of staying current with clinicaland technological advances. With more than 42 years of experience in both clinical and academic orthodontics, Dr. Chawla has perfected his ability to thinkand deal with all disciplines of dentistry. He believes and promotes multi-specialty coordination to achieve theperfect outcome for his patients.
Dr. Chawla attendedKing George Medical and Dental College in Lucknow, India where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Sciencein orthodontics. He has a certificate of specialty in orthodontics fromLoyola University, and earned his diploma in dental public health from theUniversity of Toronto College of Dentistry.
Dr. Chawla was formerly a clinical instructor, teacher, and professor of orthodontics at King George Medical and Dental Schools College of Dentistry in Lucknow, and also served on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry, Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a licensed specialist in child and adult orthodontics, TMJ and orofacial pain, and a certified Invisalign orthodontist.
Dr. Chawla is a member of many orthodontia-related professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Rhiannon Holcombe believes in providing exceptional care and spending quality time with each child to make every visit positive, safe, and fun. She believes if the visit is enjoyable and pleasant, then children will feel better about coming to seethe dentist, which will create a lifetime of good dental habits.
In addition to routine dental exams, she also screens each patient for orthodontic needs, dental developmental abnormalities, and counseling for oral habits. Dr. Holcombe also has experience and training in treating special-needs and medically compromised patients. During Dr. Holcombes spare time she enjoys reading, running, kickboxing, and traveling.
Dr. Rhiannon Holcombe, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is originally from Irving, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in biomedical science where she graduatedcum laude. Shereceived her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
Dr. Holcombe completed her specialty degree in pediatrics and her masters in oral science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with the latest techniques and recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Holcombe is currently a member of many dental associations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, & the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

My daughter has been going for over a year to Westgrove Dental and every experience/appointment has exceeded expectations. Always welcoming friendly and very knowledgeable of the services they offer... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS!!!!!!

I was really impressed by the professional and friendly staff. Dr Sharfaei and his dental assistant Maggie were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this dentist if you live in the westmont area.

I'm a patient of Dr. Sharfaei and the hygienist Rachelle. I'm am so happy with my treatment and received services! I have received a root canal and crown; it had been easy breezy process! I highly recommend Rachelle, she cleaned my teeth so well, takes her time. I'm so happy with my results. The difference between before and after is night and day. I highly Westgrove dental center.

Dr. Kempf and Maggie were amazing. No one likes to go to the dentist and today I had an appointment to get a crown (which I conveniently blocked out of my memory until I arrived lol). From the moment I walked in the office and wanted to run out (seriously, I did), Rachel was friendly, compassionate and professional (not to mention she validated my very real nervousness). I think Dr. Kempf overheard me talking to Maggie about my fears of pain and he was extremely reassuring even before we got started. He was gentle and attentive and I felt absolutely no pain at all. Maggie answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Westgrove has been our family's provider for years and today is the reason why they will remain our provider of choice and highly recommended by me. Thank you for making going to the dentist "not-so-scary" and pain-free!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have had extensive reconstructive work done here after serious dental trauma from a car accident. Everyone from the hygienists (Rachel), the general dentist (Dr. Sharfay), the surgeon (Dr. Katznelson) and office manager (Tiffany), and everyone in between is caring and helpful. My kids also look forward to their appts with Dr. Holcombe. I would recommend Westgrove to anyone!

Wonderful experience with Dr. Shock! He is extremely thorough and very professional. The office is extremely inviting and the staff are very friendly. I had to get a couple fillings and some new crowns done, and everything was painless. Highly recommend!

I had to find a new pediatric dentist after my children's dentist retired. I found Dr. Holcombe through my insurance, and she was listed in Villa Park. When you call the office, you choose the option for Villa Park or Westmont. I chose the option for Villa Park and scheduled an appointment for my 2 kids. We showed up at the appointment but the door was locked. When I called, they asked which location I was at. When I said Villa Park, they said Dr. Holcombe isn't at that office. So we drove to Westmont. On the way to the office, my kids were nervous but I assured them it will be fine and I will be in the room with them, as I did with the retired dentist. When they called my kids back and I followed them, I was asked "did anyone tell you about Dr. Holcombe's policy about having parents stay in the waiting area?" I said no...but still had to leave my upset kids with people they never met before. They found that my daughter had cavities, and gave me a summary of the costs. Nitrous oxide was listed, which I didn't ask for, and they assured me I wouldn't be charged for it. However, when we got to her filling appointment, they asked me to pay over $100. I asked how much the fillings are without insurance. I was told the nitrous oxide isn't covered. I said I already informed the office NO nitrous oxide. If I didn't question the amount, I never would have known about this mistake. Finally, the office called me three times in one day, leaving 2 voicemails, asking me to move the filling appointment up an hour so the doctor wouldn't have a gap in her schedule. I agreed, but we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes when we got there. Why harass people to move up their appointment if you will be late anyway? The doctor is very nice, and so is one of the receptionists. It just doesn't make these other things better.

Unfortunately, I gave up with Westgrove. The multiple phone hold times are too excessive. My paperwork was not explained clearly to Endodontics for root canal work. Westgrove did not cancel appointment after I called in two days before to cancel appointment.

From the front office to the assistant and Dr. Aggarwai, I had the best experience with a dental office than I have had in years. They were so very kind and reassuring and helped me through my fears. Dr. Aggarwai is gentle and let me know each step. I am glad I found them.
