Dr. Ross was born in Lowell and raised in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. A graduate of Chelmsford High School, Dr. Ross attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, studying biology and gaining early acceptance to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1994. During his education, Dr. Ross was awarded Tufts Merit Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement three years running and was presented with the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Award.
Following his dental degree, Dr. Ross practiced general dentistry for five years and served as an assistant clinical instructor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Tufts University. He would go on to receive his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics from Tufts in 2001. Dr. Ross also presented his research on materials and techniques in endodontic microsurgery at the American Association of Endodontists annual session in New Orleans.
In 2001, Dr. Ross returned to Lowell to establish his endodontic practice, Extraordinary Endodontics. In May of 2020, Dr. Ross and the entire Extraordinary Endodontics team moved from Lowell to Westford, Massachusetts to establish Westford Endodontic Care.
Dr. Ross is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontists (since 1999), American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Merrimack Valley District Dental Society, and the Greater Lowell Dental Society (since 1994).

I highly recommend Dr. Ross, because for sure he is not looking to drill into your face for no reason. I have yet to have a root canal, and that's all due to Dr. Ross and his staff.

Would give 6 stars if possible. Was in horrible pain for a week and couldn't get anyone to see me. Called Dr Ross's office and they went out of their way to see me that same day, they were even able to solve the problem and immediately sent me across the street to the oral surgeon for the needed molar extraction. Forever grateful for their help getting me out of that horrible pain. They could not have been nicer or more helpful, especially on such short notice. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I was referred to Dr. Ross on short notice and was taken in quickly. Simply put, he and the staff are all fantastic. A welcoming office with the patients comfort in mind. Thank you to the entire group !!

I was referred to Dr. Ross and his team after suffering with complications from an old root canal that was not done properly. I was expecting some significant pain and issues from a re-do root canal and can honestly say that I was not looking forward to the procedure(s) that would be needed to repair my tooth/jaw. As soon as I met Dr. Ross and his Dental Assistant extraordinaire, Joanne, I was immediately put at ease. Dr. Ross ordered a specific 3D CT scan that showed exactly what needed to be done to help to restore the bone loss I had suffered as a result of the old work. He explained the images and everything in great detail so that I could make an informed decision. The office space is sparkling clean, all COVID protocols are followed and the staff allows for extra time in case it's needed so you never feel that they are rushing through their work. I sense that Dr. Ross is a perfectionist and that, in itself, is a pleasure to witness. He has state of the art equipment to ensure that the work is done to his high expectations. Most of all, both he and Joanne exude a compassion and confidence that immediately puts you at ease - even though no one really looks forward to a root canal. They are gentle, thorough, considerate of the time spent in the chair and most of all - my two procedures to repair my infected root canal were absolutely painless. Kudos to Dr. Ross, Joanne and the team at Westford Endodontics for their professionalism. I highly recommend them for your care - and don't be afraid. You'll be in excellent hands.

Dr. Ross and his team are top notch. I have to admit I was nervous heading in for a root canal but the experience was painless from start to finish. Dr. Ross and his team made sure I was aware of everything being done and explained what was happening along the way. He was very thorough throughout the process and made me feel very relaxed. In the end I felt a bit foolish for being so nervous when I walked in the door. Easy breezy!

I was very nervous for root canal treatment due to lots of dental trauma and being fearful that I wouldn't be able to be given enough anesthesia due to pregnancy. Not only was I sufficiently numb and the procedure painless, but Dr. Ross and his team were beyond kind and understanding of my concerns and quelled all my anxiety. I hope I never need another root canal but if I do, I know where i'll go!
