Hi Im Dr. Doug Hartley. As the old saying goes, if you do something that you love, youll never work a day in your life. Dentistry is that something for me. Its such a great profession because I can use art and science to make someone else healthier and more confident.
I was born in Arcadia, Indiana and was a graduate of Hamilton Heights. I went on to graduate from Ball State University with a degree in biochemistry with honors, IUPUI earning a Masters in Biology, and IU School of Dentistry in 2012 for my doctorate. I have completed continuing education courses directed at Invisalign, early intervention orthodontics for children that are developing malocclusions, surgical planning and prosthetic restoration of dental implants, photography for increased lab communication in esthetic dentistry, DOCS oral conscious sedation for the nervous dental patient, and smile design dentures. Continuing education is and always will be important to me. My business partner and friend Dr. Blake Westra has titled me the CNO (Chief Nerd Officer) of our group. I love learning about new procedures and techniques to ensure that we are abiding by the best practices in dentistry today.
In my personal life, I married the love of my life, Janine, in 2014. She truly has been a patient partner through the start of my career, and I couldnt have done it without her help. We have two adorable twing girls. Together, we like hiking with our two crazy chocolate labs, a good concert, and any binge-worthy show when it gets too cold to go outside.

I love this office and all of the dental staff; especially the receptionist. Even though they are not my regular dentist (mine is out this week), they got me in quickly for my dental emergency. They were very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and very personable. The office looks new and spotlessly clean as well. I would recommend this dental office without hesitation.

My husband and I have been going to Lasting Impressions since they started their practice. The staff knows you when you walk in and is caring and calming yet professional. Like most I hate dentists appointments. However WFD makes it easy to relax in the chair. They all do a great job listening and the Doctor takes the time to plan treatments with you. If you live in the area they are worth going in for a checkup to see if you're a good fit.

There is a reason my daughter and I drive three hours to come here. They are the absolute best in Indiana the office staff is always willing to go above and beyond for any family they are truly amazing people very professional and doing what they do best..... making people smile!
