Dr. Burns has been a proud Westfield resident since 1984. He moved to New Jersey in 1976 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology from Fordham University. In 1980, he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Burns continued his education at Fairleigh Dickinson and completed his orthodontic residency in 1982. He joined the universitys dental faculty in 1984 and taught in the orthodontic department through 1989.
Dr. Burns is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the only certifying board that is recognized for the specialty of orthodontics by the American Dental Association. Certification culminates in the presentation of case treatment results for review by a panel of nationally recognized peers.
Dr. Burns opened his office in Westfield in 1986. He is currently an attending member of the teaching staff at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He has lectured on orthodontic subjects both in the United States and internationally. Dr. Burns has been an active member of civic and professional societies for many years. He is a past president of the Central Dental Society of New Jersey.
Every year since2007,Dr. Burns has been honored to be selected by his peers and New Jersey Monthly Magazine as one of the Top Dentists in New Jersey. Woodword/White, Inc. has also listed Dr. Burns as one of the Best Dentists in America.
Dr. Blair Sittmann completed her undergraduate studies in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Biology at Pennsylvania State University. She attended Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine where she earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During her time at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Sittmann was the recipient of The American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award of Merit and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Dr. Sittmann is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the only certifying board that is recognized for the specialty of orthodontics by the American Dental Association. Dr. Sittmann also maintains professional memberships at the American Association of Orthodontics, New Jersey Association of Orthodontics and the Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontics.

I am married with three adult children, all of whom grew up in Westfield and attended school K-12 here. I love to knit and read in my leisure time and I enjoy vacations traveling with my husband and family.
I have been with the Westfield Braces family since 2007. I am certified as a registered dental assistant and have accrued an extensive resume in pediatrics and orthodontics. I am very excited to be our clinical manager at Westfield Braces, where I support Dr. Burns, Dr. Sittmannand the team. It is a joy to work with a group of people who are extremely smart, kind, and loving towardour patients andeach other.

I have been with Westfield Braces since 2008 and am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I graduated fromNew York Universitywith a degree in Dental Hygiene andRutgers University with a Masters in Biomedical Science. I do a few things in our office, such asdental cleanings, Invisalign set ups, wire changes, and helping the front desk.Most of all, I enjoy working with children, learning new techniques, and gaining great experience.
I joined Westfield Braces in 2015 and have received all my orthodontic training from Dr. Burns, Dr. Sittmann and our team. I ensure that we maintain proper sterilization in our office, in addition to assisting with X-rays and records. Our fun, easygoing staff has created an amazing atmosphere for our patients to enjoy.
