I graduated from Worthington Christian High School in 2005, and then proceeded on a comprehensive path of Dentistry. I started my training in the Dental Hygiene Program for four years at The Ohio State University where I met my wife, Trisha. We are Dental School sweethearts! Of course, I continued as a Buckeye where I graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude. After four more years of Dental School, my education was not yet complete; I traveled to Nebraska to expand my abilities to care for infants, children and adolescents with special heath care needs at the University of Nebraska at the Omaha Childrens Hospital and Medical Center.
Molly has been a dental hygienist for over 7 years, but she has been in the dental field since she was 18. She worked as a dental assistant before attending dental hygiene school at Rhodes State College in Lima, OH. Molly grew up in Westerville, married her high school sweetheart, and still lives in Westerville. They have a daughter, Kylee, and a dog named Blaze. They love traveling and spending time with family & friends.
Amy has been in the dental field for over 15 years and is passionate about helping her patients have confidence in their smile. She has two children of her own; Olivia and Lucas. They have a ton of fun exploring the MetroParks, watching movies, arts and crafts, and baking yummy treats!
Gretchen made the switch to the dental world after working in the medical field for over 14 years. Her kind personality and warm smile make her a wonderful fit for her role in assisting our patients with scheduling and insurance coordination.In her free time, she enjoys baking, all things Disney, and spending time with family and her adorable dog, Honeybun.Fun Fact: She is Dr. Joels older sister.
Mandi has enjoyed being in the dental field for 19 yrs. Her husband, Joe, my daughter, Kendahl, love to play board games as a family, cook, and bake treats on holidays. Their dog, Apollo, loves when they drop treats on the kitchen floor. Mandis enjoys making kids smile, and giggle right down to their little toes.

Great experience. My daughter was referred here to get her cavities fixed. She had about 3. The dentist introduced himself by entering with balloons and bubbles. Once my daughter was calm he talked her though what was happening while literally getting the numbing started. When it was over I asked her did the shots hurt. She looked dead at me and said, "I got shots". She literally had no idea that when he was explaining he was numbing her mouth she was receiving shots after her topical numbing cream was applied. We were in and out in about a little over an hour. For this to have happened so quickly it did not feel rushed, all my questions were answered and hers. I really loved the experience at this place.

Dr. Joel is Awesome we went in for a visit and my daughter came in with cow girl boots with the toy story characters on it, Dr. Joel wears his cowboy boots and wanted a picture. Too bad she was crying cause she is two but overall I am a happy parent. Thanks, for making the parents happy Dr. Joel

My son had his first ever dentist appointment with them yesterday I was so nervous but from the time I called and schedule on the phone to the moment the doctor walked in with bubbles I knew I made the right choice. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful being his first time. We will be sticking with them until he ages out!

My 2.5 year old daughter had a great time going to her first dental appt. They are so thoughtful by giving a free pizza for no cavities, a bracelet in her little care package, and even a balloon for being her first visit. They even took a Polaroid pic of her and printed out for us to keep of her first appt. They really made it a great experience for us and she loved going and can't wait to go back.

Couldn't have had a better experience. They treated my daughter like a family member and she had so much fun at her first dental visit. And we were in and out in half an hour which was great! Highly recommend.

This place is the best! My young son *hates* having his teeth brushed so I was pretty concerned about his first dentist visit, but they were great! Everyone was so kind, patient and welcoming and they knew exactly how to make it easier for a toddler to go to the dentist. I have nothing but great things to say about this place, especially Dr. Joel, and I have already recommended it to several other people. This will be our pediatric dentist always!

My daughter loves going to see Dr. Joel and now wants to live at the dentists office! He educated kids on making sure to keep sugarbush off their teeth and makes the whole experience fun and enjoyable. Our daughter laughed and smiled the entire appointment. She said Dr Joel is a better dentist that the dentist in Finding Nemo!

Dr. Joel and his staff are simply amazing. My son has a sensory disorder and he just had his first visit. They adjusted his entire treatment around a questionnaire we filled out about my son and his needs. He was scared at first and was a little difficult but Dr. Joel handled it like it was a normal day. After his visit, my son is no longer afraid of the dentist and loved his balloon

My son's first visit to the dentist was awesome! They greeted him when we walked in and there is a tv above the dentist's chair so he can watch tv while having his teeth cleaned (a perfect distraction for a 2 year old!). They also have a tree house in the waiting area so the kids can get some of their restless energy out before being seen. The Dr was super nice and dental assistant was sweet and patient answering all of my son's questions to dispel his fears. We love it here!

Amazing staff, and great care! The atmosphere is always friendly and light, just perfect for a childrens dental place. Dr.Joel did a tongue and lip tie revision on my youngest and did a follow up phone call the next day, as well as a follow up visit to check on the healing process and all. He also recently saw my eldest for a cleaning/checkup. Would highly recommend!

I canNOT express how wonderful of an experience we had here. I waited longer than I should to take my youngest to the dentist. He doesn't like new experiences and SWORE he wasn't going to the dentist, not EVER. Well, the day after seeing Dr. Joel and the staff at Westerville Pediatric Dental he was ASKING TO GO BACK! He says he's not going to any other doctors, only the dentist from now on! The waiting room is inviting and fun to get acclimated in, Dr. Joel entered with bubbles and a balloon and my kiddo's heart was won over. Even though he was still nervous, he let them clean his teeth with no tears (I had imagined a huge episode full of tears and me having to hold him down or something). So happy we have found this fun, kid friendly dentist office. 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

This was our first visit to this office for my 11, 9, and 2.5yr old. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Dr. Richards was upbeat and cheerful. He had bubble gun and was making bubbles to engage my 2 yr old. She was able to sit in the chair and "test out being a patient". We will definitely be going back!
