Rene Tanquilut, DDS Dr. Tanquilut was born in Chicago and raised in the southwest suburb of Orland Park. He earned both his bachelors degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois. As a graduate student, he completed an externship in oral surgery.
After dental school, Dr. Tanquilut completed a General Practice Residency Program (GPR) at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He rotated through various different departments during his residency, including internal medicine, anesthesiology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Over the last 20 years, Dr. Tanquilut has taken almost three times the annual continuing education hours required by the state. As a result of his training, continuing education and years of experience, he has been awarded fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Simona Cheskis, DDS Dr. Cheskis offers exceptional, comprehensive and personalized care in a comfortable and relaxed environment. The doctor holds herself to the highest standards of excellence to provide you with the quality dental services you deserve. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Dr. Cheskis frequently attends lectures, seminars and other continuing-education events to stay current with the latest advances in the dental field.
Dr. Cheskis enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a specific emphasis on patient education and prevention, especially in children. She takes a holistic and highly individualized approach to each patient. Her particular interest is the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliances.
In her free time, Dr. Cheskis enjoys music, singing, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Cheskis resides in Wheeling, IL, along with her husband, Alex, and children, Shane and Bella. Dr. Cheskis looks forward to showing you how exceptional dentistry can improve your life.

Hi Im Tanner. I grew up in a small town near Macomb, IL. I received my degree in Dental Hygiene from Carl Sandburg College. I strive to ensure our patients feel comfortable and informed during their visit. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two black kittens and in my free time I also enjoy hiking.
Suzanne was born and raised in Illinois. She currently lives in Oak Forest. She has been in the dental field for about 25 years now. Her goal as a dental assistant is to make her patients feel comfortable and relaxed, with the main endeavor to have patients leaving more happy than when they first stepped into the office, even if it takes making a joke or two.

Never the same after Dr Miller left. Tanner recommended I get root scaling and planing. I went to a periodontist for a second opinion and was told I did not need it. Then next time I came for a different procedure Dr Cheksis pushed further for the root scaling before she even looked in my mouth. This was enough for me to change dentists. Lost confidence in their practice.

Dr. Rene Tanquilut was absolutely amazing with helping alleviate a cracked molar causing excruciating pain. Due to me being in between dentists at the time, I needed a highly recommended local dentist, and he and his staff were able to accommodate short notice. The staff was methodical and caring with coming up with a treatment plan and care schedule. I would highly recommend this dentist and his amazing staff to anyone I know.

When I was a kid going to the dentist was a horrifying, scary experience. It is no longer the case, thanks to Western Springs in Dentistry! Dr. Tanquilut has done a root canal (or two, I forget!), several crowns, a night guard, helped me with my TMJ, and he's about to do an implant. I probably forgot something, but, each and every time he has been reassuring and gentle, and the crowns and the work is always excellent. His methods are very advanced and professional. I have also seen Dr. Cheskis several times, and I don't hesitate to do so. She is also a very nice and reassuring person. The icing on the cake is the wonderful staff. Janette handles all the billing and appointments and somehow always manages to squeeze me in if I have a problem. When Tanner cleans my teeth I don't come out with a sore mouth for several days. She also explains things that I need to do or correct. They are both lovely people and I have fun with both of them. Hard to imagine joking and laughing during a teeth cleaning! Suzy is so fun and reassuring and caring not only about my teeth, but everything else. She has been so kind to me, and has managed to make me laugh and relax even when I'm looking at a big procedure. She makes the best temporaries I have ever had, and the permanent crown is just like my own tooth. She and Dr. T work seamlessly together. It is a wonderful, professional and caring group!

I highly recommend this place. The waiting area was very clean & neat, receptionist was very welcoming & friendly, the dental assistant was very comforting & helpful. Dr. T was very thorough with my treatment options, which gave me the confidence to want to come back & throw away my fear of dental work. Can't wait to have my SMILE BACK!!

Excellent experience at Western Springs Dentistry. I needed a new dentist due to a recent move. I chose WSD as a result of online search--excellent reviews. I've had two appointments. First was introductory visit and cleaning. Second was to replace a very old deteriorating filling. Both appointments were prompt and very efficiently done. I was very comfortable--literally felt nothing. Dr. Cheskis has an excellent manner--calming and experienced. Office staff is very pleasant. The office is meticulously clean--very nicely appointed. I would strongly recommend Western Springs Dentistry.

I was well taken care of by the team at Western Springs Dentistry. The receptionist was incredibly nice. The hygienist, named Tanner, was gentle and incredibly thorough. The dentist was funny, supportive and very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!
