I have been going to this dentist for many years but recently, Its a revolving door of dentists, hygenists and staff who works here. They are now charging you $100.00 for last minute cancellations or missed appointments. Rediculous! Sometimes, you wouldn't even know you had Covid until you do a test last minute. Would they rather we go in with Covid? The latest is that I got phone call from a staff member telling me that I owe them for services that my insurance did not cover. I hadn't even received a bill yet for this. I told them I never got a bill. and she replied, "Oh that will be sent out to you next week." So I asked why she was calling and she replied "just to remind me". I said how is that a reminder when I didn't even know about it. This is too much. I will be looking for other dentist.

Canceled follow-up appointment after change in insurance. Received bill for $100 months later for missed appointment. Called to try to sort it out, but the person in charge of billing was somewhat defensive/argumentative. In the same breath that she told me she'd run my issue up the flagpole, she also told me that I was wrong and I'd be responsible for paying for the missed appointment. Will happily remove the review if the situation is remedied.

AVOID. The office is money-hungry and has a high turnover amongst its hygienists. I missed an appointment due to graduate school conflicts, and the receptionist wouldn't even begin to work with me. I have been a patient for 2+ years at the practice. They sent me a bill for $100 for a missed appointment. $25-$50, I can see -- $100 is ridiculous, especially after they had to reschedule the two prior cleanings I had due to hygienists calling in or leaving the practice. I am working on transferring dentists and continue to throw out the $100 missed appointment statements.

Initial service was a dental emergency they said they accepted my insurance for the procedure then balance billed me hundreds of dollars more than what they were required to charge for the procedure. Second visit they couldn't verify my insurance coverage. My insurer confirmed with me that my details were on file and available. Showed up for the appointment, sat in waiting room for ten minutes before I asked if anyone was going to check me in. Before I said my name I was informed that my insurance could not be confirmed. I presented my insurance card, was told I could pay for cleaning myself until they could confirm coverage. I'm done with WNY Dental. Not a good experience.

Started out OK. Then I lost the person who was going beyond her job to assist me with what I needed. Seen by a send one she was nice then I had to see a 3rd. First one left them practice. 2nd one came down ill so I went in with yet another person all this for cleaning. I had to try and explan again some of what I got nuvuse about. Just a bad experience for what I had hoped from the reviews, was going to last. Kept being told I had to find to others to work onmy teeth. This woman was rude. Taking about her coworker and made comment about booking mynext appointment with who ever. Could not hear or under stand what the receptionist was saying over the other loud receptionist talking loud to someone on the phone and her the doctor and my receptionist got busy taking to each other about the call and how well she handled it. I was dumb founded. I think she was trying to put me in pain. Banging that metal mirror on my teeth. Worse experience in a long time. I can not go back they now fill my teeth. My broken tooth that l went there for is just about gone. Doctor semmednice but that crew they can keep

What a team! From the reception staff to the hygienists to the doctors, everyone is warm welcoming and outstanding customer service. Building is clean and organized. They don't shame you but instead educate you on dental health. All in all, the best dentist office I have ever gone to and I won't be changing any time soon!

I was going to a private practice for 20 years. Unfortunately, our insurance changed and I had to find another dentist. I tried the WNY dental in Southtown plaza. First dental appointment I ever walked out of. Next I tried the Greece/maiden location. The hygienist there is awesome and is still my hygienist but I didn't really care for the dentist. I had an issue and needed a visit without advanced notice so they sent me to the penfield location where I met Dr. Somerville. I will be his patient until he retires. Very easy going and caring doctor. His assistant is equally as awesome!

Dr. Somerville is excellent. Considerate of any discomfort I'm having, and explains things thoroughly. I've gone to him for many years as he's moved his practice around the Penfield/Brighton area. Now he's with WNYDG and that's working well. He has an excellent support staff and a nice facility.

This office has a very friendly reception staff that makes you feel welcome. My hygienist was also friendly and listened to my concerns carefully and relayed them to the dentist directly so I didn't need to repeat myself over and over. I also appreciate the appointment reminder texts and the ease of scheduling online.

I had been going to a private pay dental office for about 20 years, because I knew one of the doctors as I had babysat for his kids for several years. There, cleanings alone were upwards of $100. I needed work done, but always procrastinated because of cost. My dental coverage was decent, so I grew a brain and decided to switch practices. My sister recommended WNY Dental insurance and I have to say I am thrilled with their practice! They are very thorough, they have very high tech equipment & they spot problems and suggest procedures that my previous office never noticed or mentioned. Thankfully, everything has been covered by insurance so far. Cleanings have been a breeze and my hygienist has been awesome. Today was my first experience with Dr. Somerville doing any work on my teeth and he was amazing. I have anxiety about the dentist and he was so gentle, giving me the play by play of everything he was doing. It was really quick, too. I have to go back for some more work and my anxiety is gone. Everyone in the office is great... I highly recommend this practice!

This dental office used to be a qdental. I have been with them for over 20 years. I was very happy with qdental but since western my has taken over it has been terrible. I booked my crown to be done twin months ago. Now two days before they are supposed to do it they are saying they cannot because they are having a problem with my I air ace company. My insurance company is not even covering the cost of the crown but western ny would not honor the price they had quoted me for and want to charge me double. I have had billing problems with them too. They tried to charge me for my Daughters fluoride treatment after they told me it was covered . I do not recommend this place at all
