Western Dental & Orthodontics - General dentist in Salinas, CA

Weve been making quality care more affordable since our founder, Dr. Curtis Beauchamp, opened his first office in 1903. Like a lot of visionaries back then in Los Angeles, he did a lot more than start a practice. He opened up dentistry to the people and championed the idea that everyone should have good oral health.

He did it by delivering excellent care at affordable prices and letting his patients pay over time. Back then, they called it 'Credit Dentistry.' These days, it 's how almost all of us afford the braces, root canals and implants we need.

By the 1930s Dr. Beauchamp and his son, Dr. Robert F. Beauchamp were treating thousands of patients at multiple locations. Fast forward to today, and we serve over 1 Million people a year in four states.

Do not get your braces here, do not get your cleaning here. This is the worst place to get them. Do yourself a favor and check other places that isn't western dental. I waited for 5 hours just to get a cleaning. They will just make you wait and wait. Also don't be coming to me with "we strive to do our best" you literally aren't.

I asked if they were busy and I could reschedule. They said I was second in line. I was called in. They took x-ray of my teeth and said to wait in the lobby. I waited in the lobby and then they called me to the window. They said they had a lot of patients ahead of me. I could wait in line or reschedule. I said that was what I had asked earlier, and they said that they were not able to tell me that until after I was seen. I said to reschedule my appointment because I had a lot of things to do today. ***They should have known if they had a lot of patients ahead of me even before they took me in. They should fix that stupid policy.

Poor experience. I had a 10am appt and it was 10 minutes past with a long line the waiting was too much and the lady at the front had an attitude and was being rude also the parking sucks & it's such a SMALL office with no where to sit and no parking and too many people just standing around the whole waiting room. I had to park way off from the building and at 9 months pregnant it was extremely difficult all just to end up canceling and making an appointment in Watsonville because I felt too uncomfortable... I do not recommend!!!

They have the WORST customer service EVER! I had my appointment at 8 am and was asked to wait in my car. It was 9:15 when I decided to go in and ask what was going on, and the receptionist wouldnt even look me in the eyes when I was talking to her and continued doing her paperwork while telling me the assistant was on her way from Watsonville and it would be another 30 minutes. First of all she should of called and explained that to me instead of me having to go ask and waiting there an entire hour!

Very shallow treatment of customers. Only looking for money, zero care for patients. Bogged down in unnecessary paperwork to eke out money from patients unable to pay for services on low-cost programs such as Medi-Cal. You are given the run-around and expected to wait several hours after your scheduled appointment time, then told to come back another day for the actual treatment, instead offered "advice" and "consultation" for your pain or condition. Absolutely the worst business ever.

I just don't understand the point of an appointment if they're going to make you wait hours after that. Are they overbooking people everyday?? Every single time I come here I wait hours to be seen and then on top of that still have to wait longer to actually get anything done. It's honestly irritating. If I could go back in time and chose another orthodontist dentist office I would. The only thing they tell you when you ask how much longer is "we're waiting for a room to open up" like what am I supposed to do with that information? My whole day goes to waste all for one dentist appointment.

SCAMMERS!!!! They told me I had to do some sort of treatment for plaque and that it was gonna cost $1000. I went to a different dentist and they said my teeth were perfectly fine. Please don't waste your time here.

I've been a patient for a few year now, I get my cleanings and orthodontist done here. So far I've gotten great service. When I walk in the receptionists are very nice and greeting get me check in right away. Cecilia has helped me with my ortho appointment and answered questions I've had about my ortho treatment. She is very nice and helpful. Ana helped with the removal of my braces and was so friendly, and made me laugh and feel comfortable, since I was a little nervous. Good customer service! Thank you ladies.

This is the worst dentist I ever been to I got 10 fillings done the dentist was rude upset and angry he was trying to do things fast and he did all my fillings lumpy and not completely filled I can't even floss between my teeth because some of the filling were leaking my now all my teeth hurt and I can't brush properly. Also if you have medical like me they will tell you medical does not cover white fillings and force you to get silver ones like they did to me. I called medical and they do cover white fillings. That dentist also did a root canal and when he stitched me up I was bleeding a lot and in so much pain and I told him and he didn't not care to numb me more he didn't even talk to me he just finished and walked away not even a "are you okay"? Or a do you need more numbing medicine?" Like literally nothing If I could give ZERO STARS I would because they deserve zero stars this is a horrible dentist that misleads medical patients about what medical covers.
