Western Dental & Orthodontics - General dentist in Phoenix, AZ

Weve been making quality care more affordable since our founder, Dr. Curtis Beauchamp, opened his first office in 1903. Like a lot of visionaries back then in Los Angeles, he did a lot more than start a practice. He opened up dentistry to the people and championed the idea that everyone should have good oral health.

He did it by delivering excellent care at affordable prices and letting his patients pay over time. Back then, they called it 'Credit Dentistry.' These days, it 's how almost all of us afford the braces, root canals and implants we need.

By the 1930s Dr. Beauchamp and his son, Dr. Robert F. Beauchamp were treating thousands of patients at multiple locations. Fast forward to today, and we serve over 1 Million people a year in four states.

Terrible stay away! They will try to rip u off, don't explain what your paying for, I think they're charging for deep cleans and actually doing a normal clean which is fraud by the way! I had an appointment recently and she shaved off half my tooth, told me she didn't do it, had to build it up and said they'd charge me for an extra filling. My other filling was drilled way too deep and my tooth's nerve is exposed: when I breathe in air it hurts. I'm scared to even go back to this place to get it fixed so I'm just gonna deal with it. Oh she chipped my tooth while doing my fillings as well. My teeth feel rough and gross, I can't get floss between the ones she did fillings on, and she gets the filling material all the way on my gum line. This is the sloppiest dental work I have ever had done. At least I don't have infected teeth anymore but my god this is the worst dentist I have ever have. She is nice but very floppy and heavy handed with a drill.. don't even get me started on the office staff which are the rudest people I have ever met!! They show me what not to do at my job in terms of reception work. Like, if you don't want to do paperwork when I come in for an appointment then you shouldn't have gotten an office job.. worst place ever AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!! I could go on about this place. Now I have to go pay more money to get my teeth fixed. Thanks...

I had my wisdom teeth removed over 3 months ago and I'm still bleeding and going to another dentist to fix what they butchered. PLEASE BE CAREFUL to pick a Dentist and not a Butcher! They seemed like they didn't really have time for me as a patient and practically pushed me out the door with no instructions on what to do until I asked afterwards. HE DUG TOO DEEP AND EXPOSED MY NERVES! I have to be careful about what I eat and drink now... my strong advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I had a receding gum. This required the assistance of a periodontist. I had Dr. Bernard and he did an amazing job. It took a few months to heal but you cant even tell that I had the gum graft done now.

I'm so nervous when it comes to going to the dentist. My husband called ahead of time and let them know how nervous and scared I was and from the front office to the very back everyone was so nice and reassured me that everything would be okay. I'm at the process of having to get fitted for dentures it's a whole new change in your life when you come to this junction in life. I'd like to say I'm excited but I I kind of am and but I'm more nervous and excited right now but Western Dental has been very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. Will keep you posted on the new teeth

Need to figure out there scheduling. I'll find somewhere more reliable. Sad, I waited over a month for this extraction. Now I imagine it will be another month before this gets taken care of. Waste of time here.

UPDATE: I've been trying to get in touch with this office over the last four months and I either get a recording or it sends me back to the out sourced customer service. The only way I can get in touch is to go down there. I'm still waiting for a return call and I got a letter telling me to set an appointment at the specialist referred to (never referred to one). FOUR months and nothing else is happening with my dental work. I will never again go to a Western Dental. They have done nothing to complete my dental work. Priscilla and Brianna H. (Training from what I gathered), were great. Priscilla was great with the wax impression, took few tries but I understand that it's not easy to work with wax, but git the wax to cooperate finally. Priscilla also gave me a few tips to help with not gagging and that was to wiggle my toes. Great idea. Brianna H. was in the background so I knew she was training (from past medical/dental appointments) but she answered any questions and was able to answer any concerns I had. Thanks both of them for a great, and fun, dental appointment.

After seeing all the reviews here.. I feel more confident to say I had a bad feeling about my first visit. I went in for several reasons, one of them being an extraction, and cleaning. They took all sorts of X-rays and pictures and when I waited and waited, they finally came with a 7k invoice. I tried saying "doesn't my insurance cover cleaning?" "Yes, but you need deep cleaning" ($2500, not covered) They said I have cavities, 2 tumors (or teeth that never formed), I need a crown and God knows what else. they were going to give me a referral to a surgeon and that never happened. Someone came with a sort of antibiotic thing I'd have to use at home and I said "oh okay, do we do this today?" "You gotta talk to them first". I don't know much about insurance, or dentists, but I know for sure that if you really care, you do the best you can without trying to rip off someone. You could have done cleaning, which is covered. But no. I saw dentists in the past who never charged me this much. 7k thats literally the price of a car right there.
