Western Dental & Orthodontics - General dentist in Pasadena, CA

Weve been making quality care more affordable since our founder, Dr. Curtis Beauchamp, opened his first office in 1903. Like a lot of visionaries back then in Los Angeles, he did a lot more than start a practice. He opened up dentistry to the people and championed the idea that everyone should have good oral health.

He did it by delivering excellent care at affordable prices and letting his patients pay over time. Back then, they called it 'Credit Dentistry.' These days, it 's how almost all of us afford the braces, root canals and implants we need.

By the 1930s Dr. Beauchamp and his son, Dr. Robert F. Beauchamp were treating thousands of patients at multiple locations. Fast forward to today, and we serve over 1 Million people a year in four states.

I hate the dentist, my last visit was probably 20 years ago but they made it simple, easy, answered all my questions and the worst part was the anesthesia injections for a deep cleaning procedure... thank you western dental....

If I could give this dental office zero stars I would. I went to them and the doctor recommended that I get 3 fillings on my top left mouth to avoid getting a root canal. So I got the fillings as they recommended. One month goes by I have extreme pain in my mouth and the middle tooth that they did the filling on cracked and now they want me to get a crown and root canal so I can spend even more money. This dentist did a poor job and won't take any responsibility the doctors body language was very clear that it was their fault but won't take responsibility! I highly recommend never going to this office they are scammers and very unprofessional.

Six months ago I went in for a cavity and that experience was fine - Normal. So I scheduled a check-up/cleaning for six months later (today 2pm). Got there ten minutes early and was let in at 2pm. then had to wait for everyone to get back from their lunch. 2:30 I get called to go in and begin my appointment. A nurse gets my x-rays(apparently they need to x-ray everytime now instead of on occasion), and then I wait a few minutes until some guy comes over. The guy barely looks at my gums and insists they are horribly inflamed, will need additional treatment (I've had more work done on my teeth since I was a kid and I know the gum check is supposed to be much more in depth. A good dentist tests each gum individually and records its quality on a scale of 1-9). 2:40 one of the receptionists comes over to review recommendations and pricing, to which I repeat that I'm just here for a cleaning, I don't need to go beyond what my insurance covers. Then I get the forms to sign off on the 2pm appointment I scheduled 6 months ago. Right after, I get an actual doctor come over and confirm no cavities on the x-ray all I need is a cleaning (yeah, I know). He leaves about 2:45pm. I sit there for 30 minutes, forgotten. 3:15pm, I get escorted to a second chair for my cleaning. Five minutes later, 3:20pm, another form to sign. 3:30pm a guy finally shows up and complains he has actual appointments to get to, but he'll do my cleaning first. I ask him who was supposed to take my appointment then and he says I didn't have one (I have the email confirmations to say otherwise). Then I sit through the most rushed/inadequate cleaning of my life. I mean, this was not a cleaning. This was using dental cleaning equipment to express his inner Jackson Pollock. Everything was slathered or lathered, there was no precision. I don't even think I can say with confidence that my teeth are any cleaner than when I walked in. He wraps up the cleaning in under ten minutes and tells me I can schedule my next appointment for a few months from now up at the front desk. (Why on Earth would anyone come back after that?) All in all, I was there for almost two hours to get a preschool hand painting on my teeth in almost five minutes.

Do not waste your time. Took my son in for an Ortho evaluation and advised to wait about 60 days to hear from my insurance. I just so happened to contact my insurance approximately 56 days in and they notified me that Western Dental did not submit the proper documents, photos and molds. But in fact they did submit a claim and they were paid...so SAD. I contacted the front desk and of course they were unfriendly and unable to help me, didn't even attempt to take a message. I was notified to call back on a Friday, which I did and still to this day no call back. Please go elsewhere. Thank you to @The Smile Agency for doing your job properly.

Very bad. They don't care about patients. I got two appointments canceled in a month without being notified. A waste of time driving 30 minutes there, and they don't contact me for rescheduling it.

I get anxiety every time i sit in that dentist chair but Denise helped me out with that she knew exactly what to say to calm my nerves down she was so sweet when taking my X-Rays! And i was also having some trouble with my insurance but Kim was so helpful and helped me resolve that too! Overall great first time experience:)

I had all four wisdom teeth removed and was required to be fully sedated. Dr Narbeh Gharakanian and his team were amazing and made me feel very safe and comfortable. They were funny and polite. They answered any questions I had and were very thorough with their instructions for post op. It was truly an excellent experience and I would recommend going to him for any oral surgeries. He is a very busy man who only visits this Western Dental and Orthodontics location once a week but if you can get in with him, it's definitely worth the wait! Other than him and his team, this location truly is a great dental office and enjoy every appointment I come in for. They do accept Medi-Cal and Care credit which is a huge bonus!
