Western Dental & Orthodontics - General dentist in El Cerrito, CA

Weve been making quality care more affordable since our founder, Dr. Curtis Beauchamp, opened his first office in 1903. Like a lot of visionaries back then in Los Angeles, he did a lot more than start a practice. He opened up dentistry to the people and championed the idea that everyone should have good oral health.

He did it by delivering excellent care at affordable prices and letting his patients pay over time. Back then, they called it 'Credit Dentistry.' These days, it 's how almost all of us afford the braces, root canals and implants we need.

By the 1930s Dr. Beauchamp and his son, Dr. Robert F. Beauchamp were treating thousands of patients at multiple locations. Fast forward to today, and we serve over 1 Million people a year in four states.

Absurdly bad scheduling management. I arrived early for my 9:30am appointment and was not seen until after noon. I scheduled an exam and a cleaning, but once the exam was done they told me I would have to go to the back of the line to wait again. RIDICULOUS.

After several visits over one month I have yet to receive a simple cleaning. They kept trying to push Perio Protect Trays on me for $1000 out of pocket not covered by any insurance and certainly not mine though the dentist said after I asked several times that theres absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth and gums. I called to cancel my deep cleaning because my insurance flat out refused to cover it due to them not believing I do not actually need it, and given how expensive it is out of pocket I cannot afford it anyway. They kept trying to push it to have the deep cleaning anyway and refused to just schedule a simple cleaning instead. So i cancelled. Also, I heard multiple people say they hated working there while I was getting mny x-rays. Not a good sign at all when your own workers hate working there and don't care if people know it. This is easily the worst dentist office I have ever been to. I do not trust them for simple check ups, since I asked my previous dentist over the phone about Perio Protect and other things they had said and not only had they never heard of it but they did not recommend Western Dental at all. After some research I found out there is not much testing done for Perio Protect and it is not FDA approved for the actual treatment of it only the molds themselves which are pointless without the actual gel that is the treatment. There is also no concensus of it in the medical/dental community. It seems to me like they just push it to make extra money.

It was an amazing experience. Of course like any office the wait took a while but definitely worth the wait! Workers there are super friendly and helpful. They did what no other dentist would of done for me. I walked there super embarrassed with a missing tooth and walked out with a big smile on my face they knew how important that was to me and they definitely went out of there way to make it happen for me! im super greatful

One of the most horrible experiences I have had yet.. I have Been trying to get a tooth pulled for 3 months and four appointments later I have to come back in the morning witch I cant... they just want money!!! I come back the next week too tell me if I don't have 250 or sign up for a card they won't remove just the tooth! So they turn me away this time. Going to hr or something for some stuff like this.. now I'm in pain and I'm infected. Thanks a lot....

II had an appointment this afternoon and I went there. The receptionist told me that the doctor was not here?! Sadly it's not my first time, been the fifth! I always get notified my current appointment and had to reschedule it! The reason is the dentist does not come on Mondays! It's terrible! I didn't get any notifications from them to inform me. She said a call had been made to me on Saturday but I didn't have any record of it. I do get reminder text messages about my appointment a few days prior to my appointment and I always reply "confirmed". Hence no way no contact number on their record was not correct! I took time off from work and it's very disrespectful and unprofessional! I do agree with some comments here. Let it be your very last resort! I'd have changed if I hadn't had my dental surgery here! (Though the dentist was nice!)

The worst experience in my life. Been there more than 5 times and it looks like the doctors r just looking for money and don't know what to do. My insurance approved the deep cleaning and they never started it until it expired. So disappointed and highly DON'T RECOMMEND THIS LOACTION. I'm literally crying in my car now

They don't have responsibility about patients and their waste time I don't want back here again 10/05/2022 I arrived 30 minutes early, I had aappointment at 10 am, but the dentist was with me at 11:10. She was the worst dentist I have ever had. She is neither a kind person nor skilled in her work. I will never go there. Actually, they don't have a good dentist in their clinic.

The crown work that Dr. Hothi Yezenia completed was with excellent and compassionate services. The front desk Yezenia provided great customer service. This office provides felixible appointments including Saturdays. This location is busy and you have to be patient. There will be a wait during appointment but this office does excellent dental work with compassion.

I have so much trauma from western dental. Never go to this cooperation for dental work. I finally decided to see a private dentist, who asked me to get my X-rays emailed from this office. I went in to sign release, never got them. I sat on hold for hours. They just answer the phone and put you on hold without saying anything else and you'll never reach anyone. Still never got my X-rays.

All Western Dentals Suck !!! Its like they all have unprofessional rude staff, the wait to be seen is Unbelievable and Unacceptable!! And they only have 1 dentist or 1 ortho to service everyone! They book patients all around the same appointment time which makes No sense!!! and need better management. The owner at this san pablo location replies to the reviews but Never does anything to improve the business. I've been waiting a whole week for a dentist to get back to me and no response. Your better off buying better dental insurance and finding a new dentist !!!

Then they try to reschedule me a whole month away when I took off today to come bring my son and my self in... what a joke this place is!!!
