Bleeding gums can be a sign of gingivitis (inflammation of the gums), or gum disease, a more advanced stage known as periodontitis. If left untreated, gum disease can lead to serious problems like bone and tooth loss. Infection in your gums can spread to other parts of the body and has been linked to heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Fortunately, there are ways to manage gingivitis and gum disease. See your dentist to evaluate the type of treatment right for you based on the condition of your gums.

Your dentist will discuss your concerns with you prior to treatment and make every attempt to make you comfortable during treatment using the type of anesthesia and sedation best suited to your needs.

Periodontitis, or gum disease, is common but fairly preventable. The cause is usually poor oral hygiene. Periodontitis can lead to tooth and bone loss, and it's a risk factor for heart and lung diseases.

Without knowing the specific pain medicine you used, I can tell you that some medications cause dry mouth that can increase your chances of tooth decay or gum disease, which can result in tooth loss. When taking medication, its important to be diligent in maintaining an oral hygiene regimen to minimize the effects of medications on your dental health.

If you are uneasy about dental procedures, sleep dentistry is an option for many patients. Sleep dentistry can range from deep sedation, or general anesthesia, recommended for tooth extractions and complex oral surgeries, to a kind of twilight sleep that will put you in a very relaxed state. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is another option for relieving anxiety during dental visits and is appropriate for patients of all ages, including children. Your dentist can discuss whats right for you.

We're here to make sure everyone has access to complete dental care of the highest quality. Not just check-ups and fillings: complete dental care including braces, implants and oral surgery. We have everything a healthy smile requires in one place.

We set our prices for people, not pop stars. Plus we accept almost every insurance plan, offer our own plans for people without insurance and help you cover the bill with CareCredit and in-house financing.

Weve been making quality care more affordable since our founder, Dr. Curtis Beauchamp, opened his first office in 1903. Like a lot of visionaries back then in Los Angeles, he did a lot more than start a practice. He opened up dentistry to the people and championed the idea that everyone should have good oral health.

He did it by delivering excellent care at affordable prices and letting his patients pay over time. Back then, they called it 'Credit Dentistry.' These days, it 's how almost all of us afford the braces, root canals and implants we need.

By the 1930s Dr. Beauchamp and his son, Dr. Robert F. Beauchamp were treating thousands of patients at multiple locations. Fast forward to today, and we serve over 1 Million people a year in four states.

I had been a patient of theirs since 2015 back when it was kid smiles. I had a great first experience then, that is before 2016 when I got my braces. Don't get me wrong I needed them and the first couple years were great always a wait unfortunately but that's expected when dealing with kids. The only person I truly remember was Elmo and he would always make jokes and having everyone laugh, he was a little rough on the mouth but that's alright the laughter made up for it. Finally in 2020 right before covid shut everything down I was told that I could not leave my braces on any longer otherwise I risk my teeth falling out from short roots. Something they never told me before. At this point western dental had already bought them out and I noticed a level of care quality go down. Well the day comes to get my braces off and get my retainers butttt my retainers never fit properly, they were not made correctly to my teeth and kept falling out therefor leaving me unable to keep my retainers in even at night. It took them almost a year to get the new retainers in and by then my teeth had already started moving back and I let them know. They were very rude about it as well and that's when I decided to never step foot in that place again. A lot of my coworkers had gone to them as well and have a lot of bad stories about this place. Steer clear from here and find somewhere better

(Translated by Google) My appointment was at 9am, I was the first to arrive and after me there were two more people with two children each, first they attended the 4 children who arrived after me and also two more who arrived after the other two. people.

My son is Autistic and I have been taking him to this dental office for a couple of years now. I love everybody that works at this office. They always remember my son and every single person there is always so kind to my son. Many Autistic kids and teens refuse to go to the dentist because some dentist can be very barbaric. However, my son loves going to the dentist! The receptionist, dental hygienist, and the doctor are the best of the best! I give my highest recommendation!

Last time be here. 2 weeks ago, I had an appointment and came here from SB county, and there were two reps in the office, said today no doctor here. Then rescheduled appointment. Today, my appointment was 3:30, we came here 3:15 and checked in. Waited 30 mins then got in, X-ray then waited in the chair.... It's freezing here. I need doctor's sign for the social services agency, asked Rep print out a sheet, It's for court use. She said only accept paper. No print. I asked can I get out and find a ups print it out? She said you have be with your kid. We stocked here and waited. And waited and waited. Also the staff are not polite, I don't want say rude, but you know that. Also when my kid watches the tv, they try to persuade you to eat more candy and the advertisements are disturbing.I hope this was helpful to you and may God bless you.

Honestly this place has disappointed us so many times. They often make you wait a long time even when you have an appt. They also often confuse our appointments. I made an appt for them to fix my daughters cavity, letting them know that she was in pain. Instead, over an hour later they came out saying, " the doctor recommended that she get her cavity fixed"... umm what? I thought she was already getting the cavity treated since that is what I made the appt for. Instead they said, I should have checked with the front desk person and all they did was a cleaning and a check up. This was not the first time that they missed something that was the sole reason why we came. They said they would try to squeeze her in today. Omg! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Also, they never have reasonable times for an appt so we often have to miss school to be here.

Quick once we got in office. Wait time past your appointment time could be better. Seems like everything we have a visit we go past our appointment time, sometimes close to 30 minutes.

Lack of communication, runs super late, front office staff is not helpful and phone service to make appointments is subpar.

I wish there was a zero star to give them. One day when I was in my way to there, received a call saying you gonna wait here for an hour because our nurses are busy and some of them are off today, I told her I am coming to you but here is a lot of traffic, I may come 20 minutes late and she right away answered, if you come 15 minutes late we gonna schedule you for next, I said what you just told me to wait an hour and you saying this now???? A lot of bad experience in this clinic. Every time I was going there, there was an story.

This is our last visit and it couldn't come fast enough. We were clients of kidSmile before the were bought out by western dental and our ortho contract. The dental assistants are good but the billing department, front counter personnel and company as a whole are difficult to deal with. Issues are slowly, if ever resolved. Save yourself the money, time, stress & heartache. Please seek other options. We did for our other child.
