The founder of Westend Dental, Dr. David Fiore has over 25 years of experience in dentistry and is continually adding new procedures and dental services to increase his ability to serve his patients. His newest areas of expertise include oral sedation dentistry, dental implants, advanced oral surgical procedures and cosmetic orthodontics. Dr. Fiore is an alumni of Loyola University; he graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry and continued on from there to Loyola University School of Dentistry. An active participant in the community, Dr. Fiore oversees initiatives that place Westend Dental into local community organizations that serve the community and strives to be a leader in premiere dental care for the Lincoln Park area. In his spare time, Dr. Fiore enjoys going on ski trips with his three sons sharing a cup of coffee with his wife on Sunday mornings.
Dr. Zander comes to Westend with expertise in comprehensive treatment planning, painless extractions in oral surgery and Invisalign Preferred Provider status. Dr. Zander began his dental career with a B.A. in Biology from University of Illinois and completed dental school from University of Illinois as well. With over 20 years experience in dentistry, he continues his dental education through the dental-specific Seattle Study Club. When not treating patients, Dr. Zander is highly involved in the community by volunteering through his childrens school functions and coaching youth ice hockey. In his spare time he enjoys barbecuing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Storti joins the Westend team with a drive to help the practice in all forms of restorative dentistry as well as oral surgery. Balancing out his skill set, Dr. Storti also has experience working with fixed and removable prosthodontics as well as cosmetic dentistry. Born and raised in the Chicago-land, Dr. Storti finished his bachelors degree at the University of Illinois and then completed his dental education at the University of Maryland Dental School in 2013. Currently Dr. Storti resides in the Lincoln Park area with his wife Amanda, new daughter Camille and their cat Paulie. When the hard-working doctor manages to find some free time, you might see him riding his bike along the lakefront, skiing or spending time with his family.
With many years of experience in the dental industry, Sylvana has been at Westend Dental for 18 years. Sylvanas favorite part of being Office Manager is working with the entire Westend team to provide the best care for patients as well as learn new technologies in the dental field. Sylvana first started her managerial career as a licensed cosmetologist and managed a variety of salons including Elizabeth Arden, Ulta Beauty and more. Because of her passion for helping customers and offering them attentive service, Sylvana made the switch to dentistry and since then has been providing Westend Dental patients with the utmost care and respect. When not in the office, Sylvana can be found spending time with her husband and fur baby, Noella, or enjoying the company of family and friends.
Elizabeth joined the Westend Dental Team in 2019. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienists for 2 years. Elizabeth attended DePaul University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Health Science and Psychology, before pursuing her degree in Dental Hygiene. Her personal health and wellness, as well as the health and wellness of others, has always been a passion for her. This is what drew her to Dental Hygiene. Elizabeth believes that a happy smile is a healthy smile. She loves the confidence her patients have after a cleaning. In her free time, Elizabeth loves to travel. She also enjoys binge watching baking competitions on Netflix.
Venesa joined the Westend Dental Team in 2019. She comes to Westend Dental with 27 years of experience in the Dental field. Venesa started out as a Dental Assistant before receiving her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene, at Indiana University. She is committed to providing gentle, compassionate care to each of her patients. Her focus is on her patients periodontal and gingival health, as well as educating her patients on proper home care. In her free time, Venesa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She loves spending time vacationing in Greece and the beautiful islands off its coast.
Lizzy attended Indiana University Northwest and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is originally from Indiana but now lives here in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Lizzy loves the dental field because she is able to be personable with her patients and help them achieve overall health starting with their oral hygiene. Outside of dentistry Lizzy enjoys going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
Karina joined the Westend Dental team in 2021. She comes to Westend Dental from Northwest Indiana, where she received her bachelors degree in dental hygiene. Karina has always enjoyed going to the dentist and was eager to help others feel the same way. She believes that providing gentle yet thorough care is essential for all her patients to have a great dental experience. In her spare time, Karina enjoys spending quality time with her family, boyfriend, and godson.
With over 18 years of dental assisting experience, Lucy has spent nine of those years helping and teaching Westend Dental patients the importance of dental health and how to take care of their smile. Although certified in both coronal polishing and oral sedation, Lucy enjoys every aspect of dentistry whether its cosmetic, surgical, orthodontic or implants. Along with seeing many patients throughout the day, Lucy loves working with the Westend team and continually learning new techniques in the dental industry. When not at Westend, Lucy can be found relaxing by watching movies, enjoying the latest Chicago restaurants or spending time with her husband and three children.
Liz joined the Westend Dental team in 2015. Prior to making the switch to the dental field, she worked for a hair restoration company. She has over 14 years experience in the dental field. Liz understands that going to the dentist can bring about feelings of anxiety for some people so, she believes that every patient should be greeted by friendly faces when they walk in the door. She and her team are happy to answer any questions and concerns patients have and strive to offer a feel good experience from the moment the patients check in, until the moment they check out. In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her teenage son.

After 10 years of dental experience, Dr. David Fiore was looking for a way to start his own practice that was an alternative to the average patient care most patients received when visiting their dentist. From this idea, a new dental practice was born and the dream began to take shape. In late1994, Dr. Fiore took over the vacant space of 1170 W. Armitage that was once West End Music Club. Eight months later, Dr. Fiore and his small team officially opened the doors of Westend Dental, allowing patients to experience quality, patient-focused dental care for the very first time.
With its patient-focused care and relaxed atmosphere, Westend Dental quickly expanded its dental family. In fact, Westend Dentals patient base had grown so much that help was needed to continue offering exceptional patient care.
In the spring of 2000, Dr. Fiore met Dr. Matthew Zander. After much discussion on the dental industry and patient care, it was apparent their visions of how a dental practice should run were congruent. On April 1, 2000, Dr. Zander became a partner and co-owner of Westend Dental. With the addition of Dr. Zander, Westend Dental continued to grow and add more patients to its dental family.
In the past few years, Westend Dental has experienced exponential growth, welcoming Dr. Storti to the Westend team in 2017, as well as expanding its office to house ten operating bays instead of its original six. Despite Westends achievements, patients still remain the top priority and the core of why Westend was created.
