Dr. Cox attended the University of Iowa where he received his BA in Computer Science. He graduated from the University of Iowa Dental College in 2000. In 2001, he returned to Iowa and joined the team at Westdale Dental.
Dr. Cox is an eastern Iowa native, originally from Cedar Falls. He attended the University of Iowa where he obtained a bachelors degree before continuing on to the College of Dentistry. He completed his formal dental training at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2000. After practicing dentistry for one year in Austin, Texas, he returned home to Iowa. Dr. Cox joined Westdale Dental in 2001.
Dr. Westlund is a native of Cedar Rapids, IA where he attended Xavier High School. He completed his undergraduate degree and dental school at the University of Iowa. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Linn County Dental Society.
Dr. Westlund enjoys providing comprehensive dental care for the whole family that includes esthetic dentistry, implants, and much more. He loves that dentistry allows him to help provide dental treatment in a relaxing atmosphere to help improve any patients dental health.

Westdale Dental has been my dental office since they were physically in Westdale Mall...yes 30 years +. Always have been great. Brenda, Lori, Karen, Toni, Dr Westlund and everyone there are wonderful and talented. Lots of laughs and great service, too.

Elena was so thorough. She spent time asking questions and addressing issues. She went above and beyond writing out what I needed to ask the insurance company about coverage, and she gave me samples of products and a list of others to try. I appreciate the time she spent doing that!

Westdale Dental is awesome! Dr. Cox is always very friendly and professional. The hygienist, Terri, is top notch! I will only see her for dental cleanings. I have had dental services provide by this clinic for myself and my family for many years. In fact, the generations continue as grandchildren are now going there. Very highly recommended!

Be extra cautious when it comes to your billing. I have always had dental insurance while going through Westdale Dental, which means completely covered cleanings. I have only had cleanings through Westdale Dental. It was a shock to see a $17 collection that hit my credit from them. My wife called in with no help from the front office. They claimed to have mailed and called about the bill, which I never received. One star rating for being the one collection I have ever had on my credit.

I've gone to Westdale Dental Office for over 25 years. Dr. Cox and Dr Westlund and all the dental assistants, hygienists and administrative staff are amazing. I have seen the same friendly and caring staff for years and years--they must be doing something right! The office has been recently updated and has a great environment and comfortable feel!
