Health Access Network (HAN) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that celebrated its 18th anniversary in August 2021. What started as a small community health center with sites in West Enfield and Lincoln has since grown to include additional clinic locations in the rural communities of Medway and Lee, and now serves more than 12,000 patients annually across four counties.
For 17 years, Health Access Network has worked with these words in mind as we strive to provide high quality health services to families across the counties of Penobscot, Piscataquis, Washington, and Aroostook.
We are dedicated to the communities we serve, to treating you as a whole person without financial or social discrimination, and to remaining responsive and nimble to your needs and to changing times in health care. This is reflected not only in the growth of our organization over the years, but also in the growth of our programs and services, including primary care, behavioral health, dental services, walk-in care, occupational health, prenatal care, podiatry, care coordination, patient assistance/outreach and enrollment, lab, radiology and substance use treatment.

We certainly recognize that providing you with complete care is an effort that extends beyond our walls. In an ongoing effort to improve access and empower you in managing your care, we have placed information at your fingertips through our online patient portal and our new website. Our new online home is designed to capture the energy, diversity, and reverent spirit of our community and our health center, and will serve as a hub foryouwhen you are not visiting us in the office. We will be working to grow the website and the patient portal in the months ahead and will certainly keep you posted!

As a Registered Nurse, Nicole Morrison has worked in various aspects of health care, from long-term/skilled care to primary care for the last 21 years. Although the vast majority of her career has been in health care management, she stays true to her roots with her primary focus directed toward providing high quality patient care and services to the community she refers to as home.
Sonia Maxwell has 26 years of experience in healthcare with notable expertise in human resources, compliance, and risk management. She has devoted the majority of her administrative career to the community health center setting. Sonia champions ways to engage all employees in establishing a culture that develops leaders, empowers employees, promotes high ethical standards, and builds a dedicated workforce that meets the needs of the community.
Dr. Katie M. Adams (she, her, hers) received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She is a family doctor who cares for patients of all ages, performs office based procedures, and provides substance use treatment. Dr. Adams is excited to be a part of HAN's leadership team as the Chief Medical Officer and is committed to fostering culture rich in compassion, communication, and understanding.
Chris Muffett (he, him, his) brings to HAN 18 years of work alongside, on behalf of, and in community health centers. He has dedicated his career to strengthening operations, spearheading innovative programs and services, developing partnerships and shared goals, and bridging data with the voices of patients and staff to truly capture a health centers story.
Wanda has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience that she brings to Health Access Network. Wanda relocated to Lincoln in 2o17 from Bangor, where she had served what is now the Northern Light Health system as a grant accountant, accounting manager and financial analyst in the physician practice management group. Wanda is excited to lead HAN's finance management and reporting efforts and to play a valuable role on the organization's leadership team.
