Dr. Birch is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enlisted for six years following high school, serving multiple tours overseas. He credits his military service to his core values of integrity, service, and excellence. After returning stateside, he began working as a dental lab technician which led to him to develop a passion for the dental profession. His skills as a munitions expert were easily translated to handling dental materials.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Petersburg College and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon ethics award upon graduation for distinguishing himself amongst his peers through service and scholarship.
Dr. Birch works hard to deliver compassionate and comprehensive dentistry. He believes in giving back to the community through volunteer work. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, paddle boarding, and running as well spending time with his family and his dalmatian, Skeeter.

Horrible place! If I could give less than a 1 star I would! Don't go here unless you want to be robbed and never get the service you went in for. My fiance went in to get some work done on a tooth that was causing her pain. She has anxiety when it comes to a dentist and this place reiterated her fears. Please read this whole post to see why the anxiety is even worse now! The tooth had to have a root canal done and there needed to be a crown put on this tooth within a month after the root canal. It took this place over a year to finally get their story together as to why the crown was not put on. I called in over 20 plus times begging to talk to either the dentist or the office manager. Each time I was told the message was passed along. I was promised calls and never got them. According to their story the crown broke. Supposedly it was lost in the mail. The excuses went on and on. It's been over a year and my fiance still does not have a crown! She is now dealing with an infection due to the crown not being put on. She had to have the root canal redone since it has been so long. I honestly don't know how this office is still in practice. This place is a joke. Please take my recommendation when I say DO NOT go here! Hopefully this place will be shut down soon so they will no longer put their patience through this horrible experience.

I've been a patient of West Bay Dental for many years. Between me and my husband, we've spent a small fortune there. In the last few years they adopted a new practice -- asking the payment to be made in full in advance, at least a week or so before the work begins, which I did. Now, almost 3 years after I paid, and at least 6 months after the work was completed, they are coming after me for more money. The excuse it, they didn't estimate properly how much they can get from my insurance. While in fact, they did not submit the proper paperwork on time. I understand that COVID was difficult for everyone. The dentist that started the work sold her practice and eventually left. It took 2-3 other doctors to finish what she started. The work that had to be done in 6 month, took year and a half. They went out of their way to make me contract (and pay in advance!) more work with them before they had finished what I already paid for. I understand why. I understand all that. But what they are doing to me now is outrageous. I don't deserve to be treated this way.

We just moved into this area and my husband found WestBay Dental for our family to use. What a great experience we have had going to this dental office. Had such a great experience at Westbay Dental! It started with the front desk, Holly and Jazmine were such a pleasure to work with. They were personable and kind. The dentist, Dr. Boe, was very good. He thoroughly explained my X-rays, potential issues and what to do to help prevent them. He was very nice at put me at ease! Lastly, the hygienist Yemis, made a deep cleaning as painless as possible. She checked on my throughout the cleaning and made sure I was comfortable! I would definitely recommend them!

The staff is friendly and my hygienist, Yameisa, was very caring. I told her about some sensitivity around my lips after a recent allergic reaction to something and she was extra careful. She even added some Vaseline around my mouth after the cleaning. I was very appreciative.

WOW! Today's experience at WestBay dental left me speechless. I was greeted by a big smiling face from the front desk staff when I walked in. Followed by Holly, the office manager introducing herself. She was so warm & friendly and I was attracted to her amazing personality . Dr.Boe did my cleaning and was gentle and thorough. What a great team/ staff .

I am so happy to have found this office! The welcome that I received as soon as I walked through the door was so amazing! Courtney is a great manager. She was great to ensure that I was comfortable with the services and to ensure that I was cared for! Yeimis is the best hygienist that I have ever met! She is informative and really cares about you as a patient! She even made sure I was comfortable with my cleaning! I loved her energy! And Dr. Boe was great! I know that I am one to ask many questions and he was so open to answer each one with no hesitation nor agitation! I felt like I was served and not trying to get sold for services not needed! They cared for what I needed! I have found my home dentist and it's been a long time coming!!!! Thank you for a wonderful service

Yeimis, Holly, and Dr. Boe took such great care of me today! They're all very knowledgeable and have heightened emotional intelligence. As someone who experiences anxiety associated with dental appointments, this is very important to me. I have been coming to West Bay Dental for nearly a decade. My husband and I drive from Riverview now, but it's totally worth it for the quality of work, care, and respect that I have experienced. Thank you all so much!

I was a long time patient at Westbay and stopped going due to the lack of quality care I was receiving. Due to a dental emergency I elected to return to Westbay after I discovered it was under new management. I have never been happier with the dental care that I am receiving now, and the entire staff is fantastic! Please...if you are looking for great dental care, look no further than this office!
