FYI, the majority of these reviews are for Dr. Fred Zietz. Also, I'm wondering how they are getting all these "new positive" reviews (when you hit the "newest" filter) from profiles with a total of ONE review. RED FLAG! Also, if you look at some of these new reviews, they don't even live in the state. Some are as far away as California. As for these guys, here's my .02 cents. I had dental pain and called early afternoon on a Friday. I don't care if they weren't open, medical providers SHOULD have a means to address emergencies and patients who need their assistance. Left a message for their office and still have not heard back from them. I wound up having to go to Urgent Care and received a prescription for antibiotics to address an infection. I really tried to give this practice a chance (as did my husband) and I'm sorry to say, it has been nothing but a disappointment. Every single time we have dealt with them (5 times since December 2021) it has been nothing but a fiasco. We have been treated rudely, have had issues ignored and wasted our time traveling all the way across town (we live on the East Side). Unfortunately at this time, we do not plan on coming back. I really thought people were being a little over critical because Dr. Zietz was "that good". Based on my experience, it is not what I would expect from any dental office, period. Zietz or no Zietz, this place is not worth doing business with in consideration to the level of care and respect you receive as a patient.

I went here for almost 5 years and had a truckload of complex work done. The New Dentist Dr Ama, is extremely skilled, kind, and considerate, and I prefer her over the previous dentist "Dr Z". Front desk staff is good. However ,The assistants ,or hygienists or whatever you call them "people besides the dentist" definitely could use some more education.

I had a great experience there. I had to have my tooth extracted and I was scared that it wouldn't go well because it has many risks and also because I had an infection. They told me what antibiotics I had to take and then gave me the appointment for the extraction. Everything went really good, I felt no pain (which I was scared of, because of the previous infection) and they all were really nice to me. I'll go again if I need it, for sure. Thanks

My first appointment with West University Family Dentistry was honestly my best experience at a dental office ever! Perhaps even my best experience at any doctor's office in my life! In every interaction I had with their staff, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Their technology is truly state-of-the-art, and I felt like I had a truly thorough examination. They explained what they were doing and why, and I got to see x-rays and 3D imaging of my teeth almost immediately after they were taken. Also, I felt like they truly considered and answered all of my questions, and they were also always up front and transparent about billing and insurance. My expectations were blown out of the water. Oh, and even though I'm an adult, I enjoyed having Disney+ climbing and kayaking videos to watch. Can I say I'm looking forward to my next dentist appointment? YES! Who would believe it? I cannot recommend this office and dentist Dr. Ama Boateng enough.

the dental hygienist was extremely kind and gentle and conversational. the friendliness of everyone involved was exceptional and I had a wonderful experience. Holly was outstanding to say the least

This place is amazing, very professional and customer service oriented. Doctors, nurses and the Ladies at the front desk are incredible. If you have any dental problem, this is the right place to go.

I've going here since I had teeth. I really liked my hygienists or maybe they are some other title I'm not sure. I think one of them was called Reyka? Even though there have been a lot of changes, they still do great here, and I will continue going.

Everyone is super nice. Dr. Zietz is hilarious. Root canal procedure number one went fast and painless. 10/10 am coming back. dr.zietz is now gone. very sad. typical management takeover. unfortunate

You know I've read a lot of the reviews and I was very surprised by a lot of them, I took my Father a 92 year old with failing memory and sat with him through his intire appointment with the Ladies at this clinic he also was a patient of Dr.Zs and very fond of caring nature, the appt. Was long and tedious, because of my father's forgetfulness. They were very patient and caring and I was so very grateful that this was the clinic we chose the service was excellent. Thank you Ladies. All the good people are gone- Brandy, Holly, Dr. Zietz, Colleen- took my aunt months to get a crown. New dentist- mean assistant. Inconvenient and pain in the process. Should have known better- this a big box dental office now.

The first time I experienced WUFD, it felt cold and impersonal, nothing like the child friendly office environment that Dr. Zietz had crafted over 30 years. Our family stayed with Dr. Zietz because of his passion for the business. He did not try to sell unnecessary services and went out of his way to taylor the ambiance to the patient. No muzak. And very gentle sedation. It appears Dr. Zietz was unfairly squeezed out of his domain because he wouldn't put profits over people. I would not recommend WUFD if you are looking for a long term family dentist.

Dr Zietz is the best dentist I've ever had. I have been going to him for 26 years. He and Brandi were the best parts of this dental practice and they are both gone now. The company that owns this practice only cares about money and how much they can make, they don't care about the patients. I've recommended numerous people to Dr Zietz including all of my family members. I would not recommend this practice however now that he no longer works there.

This WAS the best dentist I've ever had. I've been going to Dr. Zietz for 35 years, including my husband and four children, we are saddened to hear he will no longer be there, so we will no longer be there. The atmosphere will be very dull without him not to mention he's a genius when it comes to teeth. I drove an hour just to have Dr. Zietz work on my teeth and take care of all of our dental needs so wherever he goes, I go.
