There he received many accolades and graduated Summa Cum Laude and was also elected by his professors to the National Dental Honors Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

After completing his Doctorate, he moved back to Utah and practiced as a general dentist. Deciding to pursue his passion for endodontics, he moved back to Philadelphia and successfully completed the Endodontics Residency Program at Temple University. He served as chief resident and also served on the schools honor board committee. During his residency he was active in research and presented his research at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting in Montreal, Canada. During residency he gained substantial experience in all aspects of modern root canal therapy, including root canal retreatment and apical surgery. He is passionate about Endodontics and has enjoyed practicing in a private office in Utah. Dr. Rees is excited for this next chapter of his career in Midland and looks forward to serving the local community.

He is fluent in both English and Spanish and has extensive experience treating Spanish speaking patients. In his free time, what he enjoys most is spending time with his wife and kids. He loves to travel, try new foods, smoke meat, watch sports, and spend time outdoors-especially cycling and mountain biking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Dr. Chadwick M. Sargent, was born and raised in Duncanville, Texas. Dr. Sargent is a 7th generation Texan. Dr. Sargent joined Dr. Robert Stites practice and together they formed Lubbock Endodontics. He has been in Lubbock since 1990, and is a honors graduate from Texas Tech University. As a freshman in college, he actually researched and diagnosed his own cancer after two physicians were unable. He decided to become a doctor because of this experience and treatment to save his own life. With the loss of his father at a young age and being a cancer survivor, these events made a large impact upon him and shaped his mission to help others specifically pain control.

Following graduation from Tech, he attended Baylor College of Dentistry and graduated with Fourth Scholastic Honors (4th of 80 students) in 2000. While at Baylor, he achieved the Gross Anatomy Top Student Award; was selected for the National Dental Honor Society: Omicron Kappa Upsilon; was selected for the Baylor Odontological Honor Society; achieved the ZIPS Dental Social Fraternity Top Student Award; was a participant in the Baylor Pediatric Honors Summer Externship; received the General Dentistry Award; and was appointed by faculty to be a charter student for the Oral Surgery Faculty Student Extender Program (1 of 4). While at Baylor, Dr. Sargent was selected for a very competitive full ride scholarship provided by the United States Navy.

Upon graduation, Dr. Sargent was selected and attended a prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in Southern California. He served over 7 great years in the Navy and while practicing at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, he was selected to attend the highly sought after University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Graduate Endodontic Program. Many consider this to be one of the finest Endodontic training programs in the world with faculty members making up a dream team of Endodontists. After completion of his residency, Dr. Sargent served as the Endodontic Department Head at a busy hospital in North Carolina providing dental trauma and Endodontic care to Navy and Marine Corps service men and women. In addition to clinical duties, he was a faculty Endodontist who lectured to endodontists in advanced dental training programs at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base. While in the Navy, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was a four time recipient of the Naval and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Since 2006, Dr. Sargent has been practicing Endodontics back home in Texas. He joined an existing practice with a long history of being the prestigious root canal practice of West Texas and together they formed Lubbock Endodontics. Dr. Sargent has 3 children, is active in his church and community, and married his high school sweetheart, Misty, after graduating from Texas Tech. He lectures often and has been presenting research at meetings since 2000. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the South Plains Dental Society. As a dedicated husband and father, Dr. Sargent has many interests outside of his specialty. Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Rees was great. I've had many root canals performed in the past but his was the most pleasant and less painful. I hope I don't have to have another root canal but if one is necessary, I'm headed back to West Texas Endodontics

Very professional and honest. Went there with intentions of having a root canal but after examining my tooth they advised that a root canal wouldn't be in my best interest and would be a waste of money. I appreciate their honesty and would definitely recommend them to friends/family.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would!! I was in excruciating pain and they got me in same day and were so kind and sympathetic! Dr was kind, patient, funny, and incredibly thorough.

Good job. Seemed a bit pricey. Your estimate of 1/3 root canal and crown situations being failures seems much higher than has been my experience. Gary Petersen

Dr Rees was excellent and his stadf friendy. Got me in to redo a root canal that had not been done correctly the first time. Felt no pain during procedure nor did I feel much pain after numbness wore off. Tooth felt better the next day after procedure than it had since my first procedure a year and a half ago. Will be coming back!

Good work. The doctor seemed to have a steady hand and took care of all my dental needs without issues. My mouth feels great. The only thing I maybe didn't care for was the price but I think it's typical of West Texas. I paid about 1/4 the price in Dallas. I would have given them 5 stars if not for that.

I am 76 years old and have been going to a dentist or oral surgeon or endodontist, since age 7. I can say that my experience at West Texas Endodontics was the most efficient, the quickest and the most pleasant of my life. Even the anesthetic injections were nearly PAIN FREE. I can HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. I have never said that about a root canal procedure! Great experience!!! John Marsland Ft. Davis, Texas
