Dr. Dena was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She witnessed all four seasons for the first time when she went to college at Washington University in St. Louis where she majored in psychology and minored in Hebrew.
She then returned to Florida to earn her DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Dena was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and participated in various volunteer opportunities, including a dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic and the Special Olympics.
Dr. Dena then migrated north to complete her two-year pediatric dental residency program at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where she trained in one of the most culturally diverse areas in the country.
Dr. Dena is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. She recently was awarded the 2015 James R. Roche Award of Excellence for attaining the highest score on the Qualifying Examination for the year.
Dr. Dena has been working with children her entire life, from babysitting to tutoring to being a camp counselor, and she is so happy she gets to work one-on-one with children everyday in a fun, caring and nurturing environment.

I try to be fare, so before i get into my horrible experience here i have to share: I had been to this dental office before for my little boy's teeth cleaning(4 years old at the time in 2020). We had an okay experience, nice lady dentist, patient and sweet, but she moved to FL and the owner of the practice came to work to do her job. In 2022 my son had to extract a front tooth, his tooth was a "tooth gemination" which is a condition that has 2 joint crowns and a SINGLE ROOT. The owner did the extraction (he should not be working with children, he was rude and rough). When the bill came they charged me for 2 teeth extractions when he truthfully took one tooth out, one root, one pull. They charged me for 2 teeth arguing that each teeth had numbers and they need to do the insurance claim correctly, meanwhile i paid cash because we have Medicaid and they don't accept medicaid!!!! One root, one pull, one time, one extraction. they charge me for 2 extractions. DISHONESTY

Friendly and likable staff and dentist, with a clean office. But the onlay he put on failed just a year in, and I had to have a full root canal and crown as a result (very expensive, and also months of weird sinus symptoms/pain). Was also quite expensive, and there always seemed to be extra little charges in the bills (I would have been happy to pay whatever they considered a fair price, but it seemed a bit deceptive at the time).

Not happy. I called a week before my appointment to have my daughter be seen and Specifically asked if they were in network with Uft. The young lady told me yes they were. My husband took my daughter and they told him they only give discounts. What a waste of time. They need to educate there employees insurance more.

My grandson said he enjoyed his visit at your office. He said all the people was so friendly and nice. I don't know anyone that enjoys a date with the dentist, but Daevon had not one complaint.

I loved them! Even as I write, I'm in tears. All I wanted was a permanent low cost solution for my crown from my old dentist. I got none. I found WSD with help from my friends and when I called, the receptionist genuinely cared and felt bad, she heard my pain and knew I was holding back tears as I explained my nightmare. She promised me she'd help me and she did. She set me up to come as soon as possible, allowed me to bring my two autistic little boys and when I got there, everyone was amazing. They were sweet, understanding, they LISTENED to me, and got me taken care of right away and gave me clear, kind options. They even looked after my boys while I was seen! They truly are amazing and I can't thank them enough. I'm looking forward to more visits with them! I absolutely loved them!!!

I have been going to West Side Family Dental for about six years and Gabby the dental hygienist is superb. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, gentle and gives helpful valuable advice on cleaning!! I truly recommend West Side Family Dental.

I need to start by saying that I am one of those people who are terrified of going to the dentist, even if is just for a routine cleaning. I had one of my old "silver" filings replaced recently, and for the first time in a very long time I was totally comfortable with the procedure. Dr. Levine and his assistant, which unfortunately I don't remember her name, were just outstanding. She always greets me by my first name which really makes me feel like part of the "family." Dr. Levine was patient, answered all my questions, explained everything clearly. In other words, he took the time to make me feel as comfortable as possible and was not in a rush. He stopped from time to time while working on my tooth to ask if I was ok, if I needed a break. He reassured me from time to time that the procedure was almost complete. He walked me through everything patiently to make sure that I did not feel any pain or sensitivity. I want to thank Dr. Levine for his service and I sincerely hope that he will be my dentist for many, many years to come.

The best FAMILY dentist office! My 12 year old son has been a patient for the past 10 years. Today I just transferred my treatment to this office!! I just referred my two sisters, and my mother!
